Fun Fact:
In Japan, there's the saying "a duck coming over, carrying an onion", which is used to describe someone who's just asking to be killed/bullied, an easy target, or a lucky opportunity (because duck and onions go well together).
And yes, it's the inspiration behind Pokemon's Farfetch and the "duxions" in Konosuba - in fact, they're both called "Kamonegi" (short form of the saying) in Japanese
That is also why Farfetch is called that, as a duck coming with an onion "is too good to be true"
And then Farfetch'd smacks you WITH the onion.

I thought the German translation of this was funny cause they named the duck Lauchente (leek duck) which rhymes with Laufente (runnning duck) which is a real duck breed. I was curious what the joke in Japanese would be.

That's why it originally is hard to get one in gen 1 because they're almost extinct from eating too many.

This is why Megumin is my favorite in Konosuba. She’s doesn’t hesitate when achieving her goals.
Aqua also does not hesitate when it is about reaching for alcohol.
Keep in mind that Megumin knows what it means to go hungry. She only does what she HAS TO to survive. She's not spoiled with the luxury of not slaughtering her own meat like most of us first world-ers.
She's not being cruel for cruelty's sake. She's just isn't naive about where food comes from, and isn't afraid to do the dirty work herself as a matter of necessity and survival.

Also there are certain moves that can change a pokemon’s type affinity.
Megumin is a Farfetch'd look-alike killer.
For Megumin to learn how to use Explosion within the shortest time possible, she had to become a true Monster.

This duck and the Pokemon duck are supposed to be based on a Japanese expression “Kamo ga negi wo shottekuru" it means something like good, lucky, and convenient things will come and happen. Because the duck brought the leek over to for you to eat it with

incorrect, crimson demons are known for being fashionable if it makes them look cool. they would choose the flashy outfits first before thinking about stat boosts. even megumin is no exception.

Which, now that I think about it, they also behave very like her parents. Do you remember when Megumin's parents fought for the given food? IT REALLY sounded like Megumin and Kazuma fighting for stuff like taking a bath, which might also explain why the mom suspected Kazuma wasn't just a friend.
