- In this video, I'll be showcasing 7 maps from different editions of Dungeons & Dragons (DnD) and even venturing beyond to explore other RPG systems. As I'm currently narrowing down my own map selection for my players, I hope this journey will also be helpful for you in choosing the perfect maps to enhance your own games!

I Love ALL Flint Forage videos! And maps, maps are cool.
Thanks!
For fantasy map enthusiasts who like maps more like the Midgard Map, find the Dark Eye and Harnworld RPG Maps. *Full color versions. Also, the map of Hyperboria is a fun one to look at.
Going to a con soon where I'll be playing my first game of Hyperboria and they'll have a booth there soooo, yeah, money will be spent lol. Thanks for watching.
If a map is too big, I crop it or black it out. If it's too small, I enlarge it. The party shouldn't be able to tell details from miles away. Unless it's topographical. I try to throw interesting things into the map to draw interest. Smoke arises from the faraway mountains. If it's a trade trail, I put a distant caravan to either show that's its purpose or have the caravan attacked to see what the party does. A lonely tower in the distance, a cabin by the treeline. But the map is pretty basic. I also like to make player maps unreliable. It turns out that cabin on the map is further in than anticipated, that sort of thing.
Great ideas, I like marking the trade routes. An unreliable map allows the dm to change things up if needed as well as show how things can shift in real time.
Maps 1 and 5 get my votes. I like the simple, open-world map from X1, and the Dragonbane map looks like a contained, detailed area full of adventures.
Both would work well for different purposes.
The Dragonbane Map is beautiful. I wish it had a legend with cool locations.
Love all these videos. Great video. Cool maps.
Thanks!
Maps 3, 4 and 5 are my favourites. The first map was aesthetically displeasing. I’ve never liked hexagonal maps: too uniform and uninteresting.
Very cool video, I always struggled to find an adequate map for my Greyhawk campain. I really need to fix this. Thanks !
Also questions :
Would use a world map or a regional map ?
Thanks, I would go regional and if the want to go off the map I would just make another regional map.
