Massey Ferguson 231 Dashboard restoration

- In this video I will be restoring the dashboard on the MF 231. Nothing was working plus there were several missing parts.
Job still not completed but I would call it 90%. I will wait until the power steering control valve is installed to install the dash board. Next I will paint the tractor and last I will work on the wiring.

That is a beautiful up grade your doing to the dash panel, & that powder coating came out really nice. I own a 1959 M-F 50 gasoline, & I'm just getting around to up grading my gauges; The only one that is currently working is the oil pressure gauge, & the new gauges should be in next week. The older tractors like mine never had lit gauges so that would cool to have gauges that light for the 1st time ever. I like what your doing to your M-F 231 so I'm going sub. just watch your work; As I have a interest in all M-F tractors; I also own a 2018 M-F 1526 diesel that i bought new.

@@BUTTEWORKS Yes I'm looking forward to installing the new gauges, But it probably will not get done till late spring. The tractor is hooked up to the log splitter, & is on firewood detail for now; Also I want to build a storage shed for both tractors. I need to repaint the dash panel before installing the gauges 1st, & I plan on doing a complete respray on the M-F 50, but she has allot work lined up to do 1st; So when she has down time I'll have at it.
In polish internet shops with tractor parts you may buy an original wheel sterring because they producing it today and theyverygood quality :) I have couple to my Ursus c330 for future times where maybe they will stop producing them ;)
Man, I looked everywhere and I couldn't find the OEM steering wheel. So so far my only option is doing this Mikey Mouse spline repair or changing the steering column to 40 splines but I really don't want to mess with that for now.
Sweet!! Be sure and post the installation! My 231 needs a new steering wheel also.
I was thinking in changing the shaft to a 36 splines since all suitable steering wheels are that type but I got a very cheap 36 and 40 splines so I will have a machinist do their magic and turn the 36 into a 40 splines.

@@travisricks3436 They have two versions, mine is 40 splines. If yours is 36 splines you are lucky, since there are steering wheels available.
