I assume the Scotch in the name refers to the 3M company, not the liquor from Scotland! Oops, just realised you used one. Guess you didn't know the brand name. There are lots of clones.
You can pick the reverse trigger feed from just behind the glove box in the 2022, red and white wire. Saves cutting into the loom.

Looks a bit floppy underneath near grommet. Could you epoxy glue a little bracket on?

Scotch locks are one of the worst ways to connect wires
