- The Sig Cross is turning out to be a fantastic rifle. I just bought the new Vortex Switchback tripod and shot the Kraft Drill from riflekraft.com...

Excellent idea, I’ll try it this weekend. I have the scout with a Trijicon Tenmile 4.5-30x and a heavy duty tripod I use for photography I’ve configured to take Arco rail so should be able to run the test. Excellent video as usual!
Incidentally, mine is a gorgeous 16” camo in 308. I bought it to shoot/hunt suppressed. After trying many different ammo I settled on the 168gr Federal Gold Medal Match and would consistently shoot 5 shot MOA group suppressed, but that wasn’t good enough for me. I added a tuner and 5 shot group avg shrunk to .5-.75” with an occasional .4” at 100 yd, but that was un suppressed and loud☹️. After a lot of testing shooting and wasting expensive ammunition, I decided that I would rather shoot suppressed than to shrink my group by .5 MOA, so off came the tuner 😂, so I’m back to square one, but always keeping an eye out for a tuner that allows me to add my suppressor. Sig Scout is a wonderful rifle. I only have 2 complaints, 1. I wish the stock didn’t have the little play that all of them do, and 2. Shot a bit more accurately! Cheers.
Most suppressors will not make accuracy worse. Most will actually improve things. Some QD mounts might create a little movement which could be the issue but other than that, it should be as good or better with the can on. My Cross was a little inconsistent for the first 200 rounds but has now settled into the most accurate rifle I've ever shot. Period. It is stunningly accurate with factory ammo. Mine is a 6.5 and with Hornady American Gunner, it is sub 1/4 MOA.
@@cliffy109 it’s incredible if you’re getting that kind of accuracy with any ammunition! Is that 3 or 5 shot groups. The error ellipse around 3 shots group is too large, at bare min I measure single 5 shot group for reliable accuracy. BTW, I looked for the Hornady American Gunner and wasn’t able anyone that sells it, where do you buy it?
@@735Secure I just check ammoseek.com and filter for Hornady 140 grain. Lots of it out there. I agree that 5 shots reveals a lot more than three but multiple three shot groups all have shown the same thing. I was only confirming zero before moving onto the Kraft drill
@@cliffy109 my luck, lots of 6.5 Creed but no heavier 308 BTHP! Thx and keep the videos coming.
@@735Secure I have had a lot of luck with Bullets First M118 LR.
Very happy to see all these videos dropping. What's the bipod?
That’s the Spartan Javelin
i like the Sig Vids! You changed the grip. Which grip is this?
That’s the Ergo Zero and I really like it. Keeps my thumb where it needs to be and I see why the long range guys want to keep a 90 degree angle between the trigger and the index finger
