Zepbound Injection Demo
I have been putting my body through so many different yo-yo weight loss/gain highs and lows for about 18 years. I seem to always be able to manage losing 25-30lbs, but inevitably I would always gain it back by the end of the year. Doing this so many times has definitely taken a toll on my body as I age. It could no longer just bounce back like it used to. I wanted off that carnival ride and wanted to try something that would hopefully keep the weight off for good.
Right after my 40th birthday in February, I started focusing some lifestyle and health changes to really shift my mindset. I started taking Zepbound, and it has really helped me with weight loss tremendously…in a way that I have never experienced before.
I will be sharing a lot of details and answering questions about my experience. This video is just demonstrating how the actual injection works (since I have had so many friends ask).
Let me reiterate that I am not a medical professional and you MUST meet with a doctor/clinician to get this medication prescribed. I only made this for informational purposes to show people how then injection arrives and how I administer it.
When people think about needles and injections, they imagine a different situation, so I just wanted to shed light on how Zepbound has worked for me.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!
**CORRECTION** In the video I mention that I thought there are 4 different dose levels of this medication, but I was incorrect. There are actually 6 different dose amounts for those who need to titrate up higher: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg, and 15mg.
The highest dose I ever went was 5mg since there all I ever needed. Apologies for the mistake!

    • @hawkeyegrace
      @hawkeyegrace 14 днів тому

      I did have one major side effect where I broke out on a bad case of hives, but it was after I should have been off of it. I was still at the higher dose when I hit my target weight, so I was in the process of titrating down (about 1 month after I had reached my goal weight), so I think my body knew it was ready to go off. It was a one time reaction and by clinician and doctor agreed I could just discontinue use without titrating down and I was fine after.

I've been on Zepbound going on my 5th week. It's working really well. My dr upped the dosage from 2.5 to 5 just last week. I am having a lot of gastric side effects. It might be a little too much too soon. I think you said you didn't go up in dosage until much later. I'll wait a couple of days to see if I adjust. @@davidl9781 Thank you so much David! Things are getting better for our area and we are grateful to have our basic services restored and stable. I'm glad to hear that Zepbound is going well for you, but I"m sorry to hear that you're having gastric side effects. I didn't experience that, but you could be right that it is because I took it slow. I didn't move up to 5mg until about 4 months in. I lost a total of 40 lbs at the highest. I have been off of it for over 3 months now. Life without Zepbound can be challenging since all of my old cravings and hunger came back pretty quickly. Thankfully I did establish some great habits, but I do find myself slipping more often than not with how hectic life has been. I've gained about 10 lbs back since I've been off of it, but have been holding steady for months...so overall VERY happy and I hope to make some more dietary changes and get back into that the hard way once life slows down a bit. I'm glad it's going well for you!

    4 years and the incompetent idiots at ShelterLogic STILL have not fixed the error in their instructions telling people to use 3" carriage bolt in the top crosspiece instead of the 3" bolt with the curved head. On a 28' shed that cost over $1000 (which comes with the 20' shed instructions). I came up short on 3" carriage bolts and went out and bought the extras individually at the hardware store (much more expensive that way but no other nearby choice for bulk) and then I discover this 4 year old video when I am trying to figure out at what point on the curved corner feet you are suppsed to measure to get things square 😡

      Hello! I am working on a detailed blog post with ALL of the details, but to answer your questions: I am using Noom and Noom Med for my weight loss. With Noom Med (which is an add-on to the regular Noom program), you have access to clinicians to meet with them as frequently as possible to discuss your progress. They are the ones who prescribe the medication monthly based on your BMI. When started, my BMI put me in the “obese” category, so thankfully my insurance covered the medication 100%. I am very lucky, as it can be a quite expensive medication. Once your BMI gets under 25, then you start titrating down from the current dose of the medication to the lowest level to transition off of it. My BMI just finally got under 25, so I am now in the process of transitioning off the drug. Let me know if you have any other questions!

      Hello. I'm a Project Manager for a local General Contractor. We have a regular subcontractor who does all of our framing (both wood and metal). They had never framed an arched structure before, but they were familiar with metal framing in general and were able to develop this solution. The main reason for this video was to break down the detail for how they made the adjustments for the Quonset arch. If you can find a subcontractor who is familiar with commercial or industrial framing, they should hopefully be able to make that adjustment. Best of luck!

    Thank you for your video. I am always very appreciative to those that take the time to video projects like this. 1) Cheap? (To answer arg6193’s comment) Yes, absolutely, compared to building out a wood run in structure. Prices have about doubled for lumber and for ShelterLogic products (as well as just about everything) compared to pre-Covid. But doing the numbers, I agree that this is more cost effective and has the added benefit of being portable. I started using it for our alpacas, and now it is in a different pasture for horses. 2) The instructions could be better. Most companies want to communicate instructions with just pictures without any words and sometimes this can be confusing. I would suggest to #ShelterLogic that they video an installation and provide it on their site as well as a QRcode link in the paperwork. It would save some frustration for all. I’m like you and I’ve put other ShelterLogic products together, so, I knew that the poles did not need to go through the sleeve, but I think the instructions make it look like that it is a step. But looking back at it, the picture is shown with an “i” with a circle around it. I’m guessing this is a “NO, don’t do this” warning of some sort. 3) For the Enclosure piece, they do include the rope to run through the grommets to secure the tarps to the corral panel sides. At 5:47 in your video, the roll of rope is on the ground to the left of the box or at least that is what mine looked like 4) They provided (2) hooks so that the end panel and the top panel ratchets in the back can both connect but I found that there wasn’t enough distance and caused the ratchets to get too close to the tarp so I ended up connected them differently. 5) I was hoping the video would show how you used the rope to secure the enclosure panels. Wrapping them around the corral panel and through the grommet definitely works as instructed but I couldn’t tell if the two back panels were supposed to be connected through the grommets together to provide a more solid back piece or not. I personally didn’t like using the rope and I would almost opt for using zip ties instead. Now that you’ve had it up for a couple years, are there things that you’d do differently or things you’d modify?

      I'm a Project Manager for a local GC. Me and a three of our guys did the arches ourselves. I think there might be a time lapse or a video in this series going over how we did the arch assembly. We used our our normal framing sub for the end walls and exterior sheathing / siding. We do a lot steady mix of industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Thankfully they were able to bang it out easily, even with the strange curve that they had never dealt with before. Honestly, the biggest pain in the ass was tightening all the bolts after everything was fully assembled. My husband and I did that ourselves. He stood on ladders and scaffolding inside to hold the nut in place while I climbed on the roof to tighten every single one.

      @@hawkeyegrace That's cool. I've been kicking around the idea of a Q-hut for a while and was curious. Thanks!

    Well I am totally impressed! You showed us one person can do this setup. I also have a tractor that I need covered before the snow flies, and this looks like the quickest and most affordable option for me at this time. I appreciate all your tips in there as well.

      I'm so glad it was helpful! It definitely would have been easier with at least 2 people, but manageable with one if you can dedicate the extra time. :) If it's going to be in an area without shade, I would highly suggest covering the top with a thick "sacrificial" tarp on top. It doesn't look as clean and nice, but this one was in direct sunlight and the sun definitely wore through faster than I had hoped. The cover started wearing away and splitting due to sun wear in a couple of spots. The most vulnerable spots are the tight high points of the ribbed arches where there is the most tension and the sun wear starts to show as white fabric splitting. I waited too long to put a tarp over this one. I bought a heavy duty tarp and a couple days before I had time to put it on, a BAD wind storm came through split this top behind repair. I had another shelterlogic structure (farm corral top) that was experiencing the same issue, and I purchased a replacement cover for that one and threw it over top of the one that was starting to wear as soon as I noticed it. Now that one is holding up strong much longer than the original since it has a double layer. I know that isn't as feasible with these full garage tents since the replacement cover is so dang expensive, but for the farm corral top that extra layer has helped tremendously.

      @@hawkeyegrace Yeah, that's a great idea to get a protective tarp to cover the original. You know they make these things to not last very long so you have to buy another one. I actually thought about using one as a frame to just put OSB board on the sides and metal on the top, but I'm not sure it's heavy duty enough to hold it.

      @No_bread-and-circuses ShelterLogic makes 2 custom covers that are guaranteed for 10 and 15 years with prorating after 1 year but they are big bucks. 2 to 3 times the cost of the whole original complete shed with the cover with a one year warranty

    Thank you for your video you saved me much frustration by pointing out that the back panel should be installed before roof panel, Thank you again

      I'm so glad that helped! I made the mistake of accidentally squeezing the poles into the pathway that was meant for the strap only, and that gave me the worst trouble! I'm also hoping this helps others and they don't make the same mistake as me!

    did all the trash come from construction workers? blown in through a busted vent? carried in by racoons?

    • @hawkeyegrace
      @hawkeyegrace Рік тому

      Based on the majority of the contents, it looks like it was trash left from when the home was originally built. Some of the construction debris was from when we gutted the kitchen and a lot of the rotted flooring and trash left in the abandoned house fell through. Some of it was also a result of replacing all new plumbing and electrical, so I had to haul out the old materials. However, the bulk of the difficult to clear junk (old beer cans, trash, random household goods) looked dated and was left from the original construction workers when the home was built.

    What keeps it from blowing away what’s the anchor system

      This particular one, I first just temporarily weighted it down with 5 gallon buckets filled with very heavy rocks that were zip tied to the framing system, but eventually I did get the screw-in ground anchors. I have purchased several different screw in type anchors from many different manufacturers and they all aren’t created equal, however most seem to do well if you anchor several on all sides with many anchor points.
