You and I spent a couple of virtual hours yesterday while I learnt to do this stitch. I knew we were going to get on well when you talked about the 'sticky out beads' -we speak the same language. Its not always easy for me to read patterns as I am left handed. This way of learning is a joy. Thank you so much.
You are my goto teacher for everything beaded ! As a lefty, I sometimes have trouble switching the idea around in my head, but for some reason your instruction is so clear & precise I never have a problem. Thank you, thank you,, thank you!!!
Thank you so much , Jill. This new PWAT tecnic saves me from the agony of stringing and crocheting although some with great patterns. Thanks also to Gerlinde for her creativity and sharing this with us.
Thank you Jill. I was stuck at one point, but after watching your video again, I see this pattern is really not that difficult. I'll be waiting for your next video on how to do those designs. THANK YOU AS ALWAYS JILL!!!
Thank you so much Jill . You are a great instructor who walked me through so many stitches including peyote , which I really feared & thought it impossible. I want also to thank Gerlinde for for creating beautiful stitches & patterns.
Thank you. This is fantastic. I always have had trouble getting started with peyote stitch and you have given me the confidence to continue just by showing how to do it. I look forward to other parts of this series.
Thank you so much, Jill! This is EXACTLY what I searched for! You are gorgeous. I started beading a few weeks ago and already made quite a few pieces with netting, russian spiral stitch and the crystal netted rope stitch thanks to your super to follow tutorials! :)
I am new in beading..And I learned a lot from your videos. You do good explanations!!.. Making new beaders like me understand the fundermental technique and differences making us wanted to learn more from you... Thank you very much :)
Jill, I love this stitch!!! Thank you for the tutorial on how to do it. You made it so easy that I figured out how to make one in odd count by myself!!! Love it and you
Wow. this is lovely. I just tried it with 15/0 delicas in metallic dark bronze, Nozue Sonoko Beading Thread, and I think maybe a size 12 needle. Started with 4 beads and 13 rows. Kind of bead/thread/work intensive, but OMG. You guys should try it out! So sleek and awesome, it really shows off the shape of the delicas in a gorgeous way. You get the benefits of the peyote/delica combo, but also a very well balanced flexibility while keeping the sape of the bead aligned with the shape of the work. I love it. Thank you so much for showing the way!
Thank you Jill , I'VE been waiting for this video for long.I already made a bracelet but I didn't know how to end it , and here you're making it so easy ,Thank you again Jill , waiting for the next videos .
Great tutorial Jill, I am looking forward to trying something new and also future vids of using patterns with this peyote stitch. I have always used clear 3mm irrigation tube down the centre of my regular tubular peyote to give it that firmness. I measure how long I want it and peyote right onto the tube, but keep it on the tube when I finish up.
This was a great overall basics video. As many are, I am very excited about this stitch and currently in the end phases of making a bracelet with 8/0s. I look forward to the upcoming videos. There's always something new to learn!
Great tutorial as always. Would like you to do the double seam join too. I tried learning it from other videos but you are my best beading teacher online. Many thanks
This technique is fantastic! You are great at explaining the whole process! love it! Do you have any videos that explain how to read a premade pattern? or how to make a pattern? I could not find anyone on your youtube channel
Wanted to learn PWAT today (yeah, I'm late to the party), and I went straight to your channel, Jill, because you're the very best teacher on YT! If anyone knows, did Jill ever make other videos on PWAT, specifically the join to turn the rope into a bangle? And on reading patterns?? Anxious to soak up more Jilledge (Jill knowledge).
Thank you for this. Really helpful. I’ve started making a Peytwist rope but it’s really stiff and doesn’t want to curve into a bracelet or necklace. Anyone any idea what I’m doing wrong?
FRAMERICA.... i am yr subscriber and happy with your tutorials... but pls i request you if you can show how to make or draw patterns for PWAT not crochet with flowers and other designs..will appreciate a lot.... thanks and GOD BLESS U
I absolutely love this design, thank you Jill. But i do have a question. i have been trying to make my own design with PWAT but on attaching it it seems to eat up a line and i have rhombuses, which means that there are diagonal lines going the other way too. What should i do?
You are a great teacher! It's such a pleasure to watch and learn from you. It's still kind of hard for me to read more complicated pattern for PWAT. I tried few times with no success up to now. Question! would you please tell me what are those beads you used in this video? I love this shape and warm colors!! Thank you for this tutorial!!!
does this project stay stiff? I got about 1/2 way for a bracelet, it will not bend. Let me know if maybe the tension is the issue, thank you if you can help. Sam
Great tutorial, thank you! I think this new stitch is definitely a life saver for people like me who don't like crocheting but want my jewelry have the similar look. Thanks for the Facebook group info as well! Could you also do a tutorial on the double seam PWAT?
Once again a great detailed tutorial. Thank you so so much have to try this. Any idea about how many 11/0 are needed for a 7 1/2" bracelet. I'll be using Delica beads unless you think one of the other are better.
Is there a video available on how to bring up the edges on the first row, when you have to follow a pattern? Bringing up the edges on the working ends is somewhat easier (although I really struggle), but when I have to bring up the edges on the first or beginning row of the rope when I have a patttern I need to follow ......is a disaster! I have no idea where I start on my chart and if I start at the funky bead turn end or the high end of the row.
Great tutorial, as always! Thank you! Did you or will you do PWAT with a double border/accent color? IE 2 accent beads on each side of the flat Peyote piece? How about showing us how to read a pattern? I learn so easily from your tutorials, is why I'm asking. The Facebook group for this stitch is an awesome international group of very talented beaders. They've taught bunches and I just joined less than a week ago. Highly recommend the group.
Dear Jill, thank you for the tutorial. Very helpful information as usual. I was just wondering if we can use bead crotchet patterns for this technique? I mean the 3 version draft-corrected-simulation patterns. If so how can we determine where we connect the tube?
So in your video, you are using size 11 beads. You made a comment that for the purpose of this demonstration, you were going to "dictate" we start off with 11 rows of flat peyote stitch. What would be the so called "normal" amount of rows of flat peyote stitch using size 11 beads be? I like the thickness of 11 rows to start, but it's a bit squishy is you get my drift. I loved the video. The demos were very clear and your explainations were wonderful. Only watched about the first half, need to finish my beadwork, then I'll go back and complete it on how to build up the ends and attach the end caps. Also, would you recommend Delica's for this rather than just plain seed beads?
Hey Jill, thanks so much for this tutorial, its super easy to follow and looks amazing! Is it possible to do this technique with fewer beads per row to make a smaller overall version or do we need to stick with 10 beads?
Great video! I learned this very quickly thanks to your clear instruction. However, I like using 8/0 beads but had trouble in the beginning making it a cannoli, wouldn't bend well, had to do 13 rows instead of 11. It looks awesome but very large inside diameter, won't stay round. Any suggestions as to what to put in there so it doesn't go flat? What did you use?
8/0 works it just takes several rows before it becomes circular. Will also need to coax into circle once you have built the rope with several rows if you are using 8/0.
Your video is EXCELLENT! I watched it many, many times to learn what to do. It worked GREAT. Thank you!
Jill's instructions here are so clear and easy to understand! Much appreciated!
Your video taught me how to PWAT. Your lighting, camera angles, your overall production values are really appreciated for their clarity. Thank you.
Thank you Jill for your PWAT instructions. I’ve tried to follow other instructors but kept getting confused. You’re the best!
You are super at teacher!!! I've learned to odd and even peyote along with this twist. Will continue to watch your videos. Thank you so much!!!!

Its not always easy for me to read patterns as I am left handed. This way of learning is a joy. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Jill. Started this project with the Northwest Bead Society class today. Your instructions are very clear.
I love the way you teach us new stitches. You are my go to teacher. Thank you so much 😊
You are the best teacher! As a beginner, you have me convinced that I can do anything and try everything!
You are my goto teacher for everything beaded ! As a lefty, I sometimes have trouble switching the idea around in my head, but for some reason your instruction is so clear & precise I never have a problem. Thank you, thank you,, thank you!!!

Jill you are amazing . Thank you for your great beading patterns. Just finished your carrier bead necklace.
Thanks, Jill! This is great. I've tried to do bead crochet but it gives me heartburn!! 🤒🤕. This is sooooooo much easier!
Thank you for a great and easy explanation to this Peyote with a twist. 😊🎉❤
Jill, I love this stitch!!! Thank you for the tutorial on how to do it. You made it so easy that I figured out how to make one in odd count by myself!!! Love it and you
Your video taught me to make an 8 mm, 22-inch necklace on my first try!
Thank you, Jill for all your videos.
Anxious for more of your great teaching on this technique. Thank you.

Very cool stitch! Thank you for sharing this!!!
You are such a great teacher! I think I've got it now!!! Thank you so much!

Thank you, Jill--you helped explain this difficult stitch. Please consider doing a video on the double column seam and how to read a pattern. Thanks!
Great tutorial as always. Would like you to do the double seam join too. I tried learning it from other videos but you are my best beading teacher online. Many thanks

I also LOVE your necklace !
I love your tutorial, it is amazing and easy to follow. What size beads did you use with your example?
How do you do an invisible join to make it a bangle style bracelet?
😂🤣😂 magnetic clasps, a perfect needle holder while stitching 😂🤣😂 💜
This was very informational, do I have to do 10 beads around and if I can do smaller how do I adjust for the glue end closure
Thank you Jill!!!
Thank you for your tutorial ,very great,I enjoy it and waiting the next

Thank you Jill. I would love to learn how to read a pattern.
Are you still planning more videos about peyote with a twist? I am very interested. I'd like to know how to make a thinner tube.
I love the way you teach. God bless U :)
merveilleux tutoriel . merci beaucoup
FRAMERICA.... i am yr subscriber and happy with your tutorials... but pls i request you if you can show how to make or draw patterns for PWAT not crochet with flowers and other designs..will appreciate a lot.... thanks and GOD BLESS U
I was reading an article about ancient Egyptian beadwork and the bracelets looked exactly like this
Nice. D easy to follow. Do you have a tutorial on reading PWAT not crochet patterns?
thank you

You mentioned it but I’ve searched and can’t find it. Did you ever make the video about turning a bead crochet pattern into peyote with a twist?
does this project stay stiff? I got about 1/2 way for a bracelet, it will not bend. Let me know if maybe the tension is the issue, thank you if you can help. Sam
Love your tutorial easy to follow just wondering how to do like a larger one with 18 beads around how many rows would you do do to start?
How would you add more rows of colors?
Would this be a good stitch for a lanyard? If I use 11/0, how many do I start with?
Great tutorial, thank you! I think this new stitch is definitely a life saver for people like me who don't like crocheting but want my jewelry have the similar look. Thanks for the Facebook group info as well! Could you also do a tutorial on the double seam PWAT?

Nobody can find the group on FB. I have a question… you show a small part but I’m not sure how to make a piece about 6” long.
jill hoeveel pareltjes heb je nodig voor die ketting in gram
Can you make a necklace using this?

Per fare la lavorazione più sottile quella al centro con quante perline devo iniziare?o se hai fatto un video dove posso vederlo?grazie
Thank You
Are you going to have a pattern for the Peyote with a twist?
I love this. I was just wondering if you can use a peyote pattern and convert it to the peyote with a twist? And if so how do you do it?
I have noticed lots of the same questions I have but no answers. Are the answers somewhere else.
i can't find this group on facebook,,.:(
Did you use Delicas?
Thank you, would you share the brand and color of these beads please?

You can use as many or as few rows as you like! And Peyote with a Twist works up beautifully with either Delicas or seed beads.
When will you get magnetic clasp back again?
Hey Jill, thanks so much for this tutorial, its super easy to follow and looks amazing! Is it possible to do this technique with fewer beads per row to make a smaller overall version or do we need to stick with 10 beads?
Able to learn Peyote With A Twist easily from this video. NOW, I would love to learn to graph my own pattern, where to start???
Great video! I learned this very quickly thanks to your clear instruction.
