You know, I was wondering why they were called shift lock. It also helps figure out why you'd want to do manual gears in the game

Only drift on sharper corners. Initiate it from the outside and slightly before the corner comes up.
Steer hard into the corner, tap the brakes.. then just tap steering in that same direction every now and then to keep the "drift" going. Only countersteer when you want to end the drift. Only let go of the gas or brake if you're about to go too wide. Also avoid using handbrakes.. use it only if you really really need to.
So in short (if you're drifting to the left):
Hold ↑ ←
Tap ↓ (While still holding ↑ ←)
Continue holding ↑ ←, but let go of ← every now and then if the car's about to turn way too much.
Let go ← of and use → to either end the drift, or initiate a new one to the right
This isn't even drifting by the way. I don't know how they even had the audacity to call that thing drifting.
use mazda rx-7 and only drift on sharp corners and make sure your brake power is strong like really strong.

Which car should I use in the Shift Lock (drifting) and Riot Club
Mazda rx-7 as it is the best for both as that is the best possible car you can get.

Because Difficulty level varies, you may have set yours to hard or easy

For these missions videos are not really helpful as you cannot see what the guy does, when he brakes or not, when he uses nitro or not, etc. Unfortunately I am one of those people who cannot get this to work properly, so I guess that ends the story for me. I have played lots of racing games and still have to find one where drifting is doable for everyone, not only for the elite. Pity.
Play some of the old Burnout games! Burnout: Revenge and Burnout 3 Takedown were my two favorites growing up. Super simple drifting and racing but with high skill ceiling and certain difficult races if you want to challenge yourself.
