- Terry's story. A man who has been on the street for long time, through drugs, betrayals and also prison. He is on a waiting list for a kidney transplant. Struggling to get by he is still on the street trying to get money for food and a bedsit which he needs more than ever before in order to cope with his health conditions.

This man has been through some really horrible dreadful times through out his life and yet he has never given up hope. Despite his past life and his present circumstances he sounds optimistic and hopeful. He sounds like a decent respectful kind person who is determined to better himself. We need to wish him and all those going through the same a better future away from the present horrible existence they all suffer. No one can predict how our lives are going to pan out. We are all at risk of losing our health, families, friends and jobs at any time. Those of us who have all of these things should never take them for granted. No one should disrespect or look down on anyone else. We are all here to help and assist each other through out our lives. Thankfully there are really good people in this world who are kind for kindness sake and not expect anything in return.

This guy has been at the worst low point, 3 years sober, he has a story to tell, and parents that have a problem with their children regarding drugs show them this. Good luck Terry I hope you are safe.

Terry, Terry, life has been very unfair to you. You are still young, making the change to better your life, I wish you very best of luck. God bless. 3 hard years, you are now clear but with other medical problems to deal with, you can do it. Just don't loose your bedsit. It is so valuable and important to you. We all need somewhere to live and somewhere to call home where you can watch tv and relax and security. You don't need a mansion. You now have a 'job' earning some money and make it meaningful. Rice and noodles can be very cheap, shop around. I know Morrison's sells Savers
Long Grain rice 1 kg for 42p. Good stuff. Also there is food bank everywhere now. Do get something that is right for you. I know you can't commit to a proper full time job because of the
dialysis. This is a good start of life selling Big issues. You will get there and make good friends.

Not sure about kicking people out of their flats if they're still unemployed after six months of moving in, but I like when he said about not giving people on benefits more money. At least not enough to buy a mansion.

We have known the days..
I used to be homeless and live in a tent in some woods in London but I never caught pneumonia. I used to sell the Big Issue when I was homeless to make money. It was probably the drugs that caused him to catch pneumonia because when he was on drugs it must have damaged his health and weakened his immune system. By the way most homeless people do not take drugs or get drunk.
