Purchase the EDC items at: www.amazon.com/shop/urbanknifeguy
    bashcraftgear.com
If you like the content, you can support the channel by shopping at the Urban Knife Guy Amazon Store and Bashcraft Gear store to buy the knives, gear, and kits for urban EDC and jungle survival that I use and discuss in my videos as well as swag and merch. Thanks!

If, say, I was thinking of buying something EDC, how would I find your shop on the app? Without coming and finding this link? I’m dumb when it comes to apps but would like to support content creators.

The Waiter is a fantastic choice. Add on the pin and the mini screwdriver to the scales and also the Quattro screwdriver and you’re covered for a lot of things. It’s amazing and truly underrated.

You can add a pen to that Altoids kit... just cut a plastic ball point (or gel pen) refill to size. Seal the end with a small bit of tape (to prevent ink leakage).
You can also use a segment of 550 paracord sheath (gutted of inner strands and cut to desired length) and slide it on the pen tubing if you want to add a thin protective layer & pen grip. [You can also use a paracord color to indicate ink color.]
Gently seal paracord ends with a bit of heat/light flame without burning the refill tube.
    Happy Trails!

A good budget option is keeping an eye out on Olight sales and promotions, as they often give lights away

I know it exceeds the budget limit you set for yourself, but I would recommend to use the Sportsman rather than the Waiter (+9€ here in the EU) for its better toolset or even the Climber (+17€ here in the EU) for the fantastic scissors.

Agreed that if not for the budget, that would be great!

    Nice kit!
You probably have room in there,
for a couple of water bags,
& a few water purification tablets.
Even though I live in a rain forest,
I can’t always trust the water.
    Nice paper clips,
I’ll have to try to find a few of those.
    Keep your smiles on!

Altoids tins, fill them with miscellaneous items from around your house that might be useful and you’ve got yourself a nice comprehensive kit for emergencies or everyday minor mishaps. Always a fun little project that won’t break the bank 😊

This is how I started. Coin bags from the bank filled with free IKEA tools, bread ties, hotel sewing kit, safety pins and loads of other bits of crap. Doing it like this helped me see what I needed/used and what could be left at home. Now I’ve got all the toys, of course 😂

A pre-threaded needle sealed in a straw and a spare shoelace are always practical.
Your lighter takes up too much space, replace it with a mini bic.

I always ask people this...why a knife? i never use it. wouldnt the space for a knife be better spend on a decent powerbank that you will use? You already have a knife in your multitool and its enough...if you going out in the wild alone maybe, but for almost any situation a powerbank is more usefull than a knife.

    • @simonh6371

I use a knife blade every day! At work we get deliveries almost daily, on days off I get stuff delivered by Amazon and I open those with a knife, although for that I do tend to use the smaller blade on my SAK. In this configuration he doesn't have a multitool, the blade on the Waiter is the only one.
There are different types of EDC channels, those centred around ''tech'' which generally have no knife or tools, and those centred around knives and tools, which don't focus on phones, powerbanks etc., and there is also a division between urban and wilderness EDC.
Guess which categories this channel falls into? (The clue is in the name).
