Oh my goodness! Where do I start?
    1. I LOVE that door! What a great system!
    2. Your very own storm shelter! Call me jelly!
    3. I'm so glad we don't live near each other! I don't need the competition at garage sales and such for canning equipment......haha We shop the same.
    4. I adore the muscle shelves and I love how you adapted them to fit better.
    5. We're neck and neck for # of pressure canners......haha You can never have too many.
    6. Storing in jars vs the box is fantastic. I am always afraid of rodents. I just picked up 4 big rubbermade totes to store tp in.
    7. Your pantry is EPIC and I love it! Nothing gives me the warm and fuzzy like a full pantry.
Congrats on some great planning, prepping and pantry.

I have an old non-working upright freezer (and it was free) in my storage room. It works as a mice-proof pantry and holds all the package/box stuff that I will use short term... gravy/taco/ramen/rice bags/oatmeal/etc. Just close the door and no mice.

What a awesome idea. My dad used to use all the old fridges and freezers as worm farms and would weld the fittings for a tap on the bottom so he could collect the worm "juice". We sold worm castings, worms snd even the liquid as fertilizer....i like this idea better.

We've done the same thing. It works great. In the summer months, we crack the door open and run a fan during the day. Probably don't need to, but we don't want to risk any trapped humidity.

    1) Look into “Azure Standard” for bulk items and see if they have a drop off near you.
    2) Aluminum cans work wonders to keep items you do NOT want rodent to get into. They have various sizes!!
    3) Add bay fry bay leaves to your rice, beans and pasta to keep weevils or “Noble Eco 1 Qt. / 32 oz. Pantry Guard Food Service Safe Insect Killer Spray”
Just a few things to consider!!

Facts! Actually we use less food then most Americans, most folks end up throwing away 50% of what they buy to eat!
But we protect our food more, we tend to eat more of it! And we actually shop less then most folks, who go to the store every other day! I shop twice a month, but I do buy more when 8 shop, it all even out!
Hopefully we will break the 10% mark, of folks preparing for these lean days ahead of us! Right now still only 6% of Americans prepare!

I love how organized it is!! Our mice always eat our organic items ,not the cheap stuff.. I guess I have snobbish mice , lol I miss living in Amish country, we lived in Lancaster County ,Pa.. It was great, but I expect there are Amish/ Mennonite communities.... I learned so much working with them..I just stocked up on many kinds of cheesecloth , the fine weave AI think 90, I wash that and reuse. For your coffee, get unroasted green coffee beans. Once coffee is roasted it goes stale in a few weeks. Green coffee beans can be kept fresh for months, and bought in bulk can be a fraction of the cost. You also don’t have to invest in an expensive roaster. You can roast a pound of beans in a cast iron pan, a wok or a Dutch oven in about an hour.

In the event the power goes down and you want to vacuum seal some jars Go to Harbor freight and buy a couple of brake bleeders. There’s a tip that goes on it that fits in the hole of that vacuum lid and you just hold it in place while you pump with your hand on the break bleeder and it will vacuum seal without electricity need it! I suggest buying two so you always have back up.

I have a crazy phobia about having all my preps in one place. I have a fear of having no access to my preps if there’s an earthquake or hurricane or even marshal law so there’s food and water in EVERY ROOM except my bathrooms. I have some long term food stored in suitcases that’s labeled “kids art projects” just in case THEY come to confiscate our supplies....Yep, I’m a freak 🙄

Take a metal lid off of an old jar, like pickles or something. Mix 1/2 and 1/2 plaster of Paris (bought on line) and flour. Put some in a lid a slide under one of your shelves. Do several. When the mice eat it, it will harden in their intestines and then they die, usually not in your area. If an animal eats that dead mouse, they won’t be poisoned. If you notice that they stopped eating, add a bit of oats. If you notice they stop eating that, add some chicken scratch. So on and so on. You need to change things up so they are enticed to eat it. This works. When I do this near my chicken area, I put an upside down bucket over it with a rock on top and I cut out little access holes for the rodents. I also add a lid of water because I’m a nice hostess 😂. If I had a dog or cat, I would use a small bucket in the house with a brick on top.

Best not to give the Mice a water source. When they eat the Mix, they immediately get thirsty. The plan is to make them go elsewhere to find a Water source. Otherwise you'll have that Dead Mouse smell, & a mystery as to where it is. Also Screw multiple lids to a plank of wood, as the Jar lids full of mix will disappear, it happened in our loft. This mix really works, but has to be done every Winter, when they come in to nest. Also they will use TP for nests. 👍

With the tomatoes separation, I cook them down some before canning And using a more meaty tomatoes like San Marzano ll or Amish paste or mixing with a juicy tomato, you won't get any separation. Don't need to can the water. Came across this by accident. With my tomato juice, I wash, core the stem, quarter, then toss in my Vitamix, seed, skin and all saving ALL the goodies. Seeds and skins are pulverized so much, people were surprised when I told them the seeds and skins were in the juice. But you have to bring to a low boil or simmer in stock pot to cook out the air caused by the Vitamix. A very hearty great tasting tomato juice. And great for adding to chili or whatever cooking. And yes, adding whatever broth instead of just water to whatever cooking is always better tasting with more goodies too.
Also, you mentioned a "Foodsaver Freshsaver" for vacuum sealing canning jar dry goods. I looked online and couldn't find it. Thinking be much more efficient than a regular vacuum machine like you said.
Thank for the great video 👍👍

    I really appreciate this. Everything is super nice and economical. It's not just a room full of prepackaged process sugar items that can kill up a nation. When I see some places and all they have is sugary items to the roof I be feeling kinda sorry for them because I'm like it's a house full of snacks that could make someone sick if that's all it is for a period of time. But canning your own meals is so warming to see and safe because that's years of healthy eating if anything was to happen keeping everyone happy and healthy. Sugar just makes us want more sugar and dehydrated fast till it.... I want to build this somehow in my closet. Hope you put out a video for tinctures in the future. Thats the best looking canned chicken ever. On rain country homestead channel I saw that you could just sit the rings on top and the glass jar edge stops it from even touching the sealed lids and a flat surface can sit on top so more pint jars can make a second layer without ever twisting the ring on the jar at all. By that diatomaceous earth can be a bag of food grade lye incase preserving unwashed farm eggs one day. Again I love this. They say it ain't tricking if you got it lol. May God bless you and yours in Jesus Christ name Yeshua HaMashia for it is written;
    Jeremiah 29:11
    New King James Version
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
    Amen

LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR VIDEO......I would agree.... in the event of an earthquake.....all that food would end up on the floor and a total loss and what a shame that would be after all that effort you put into it....and with the weather being so unpredictable today......It would be wise just to reinforce those shelves.....especially that your jars come all the way to the edge of the shelves...THANK YOU FOR SHARING.....GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY keep up the awesome work

You can use your old oven roaster to put stuff in like powders and gravy mixes. pr put it on the canners that dont work. Just a idea for you. You should buy birds eye thin baby diapers, they have multiple things can be used for,arm slings, head bandages, toilet paper, wash cloths, cheese cloths for straining and filtering ,carring stuff. Ect. Just a tip for you.
