Thank you sir. Slightly less complicated to install versus the Add a Zone.

Or,,,,,, add extra wire. ..if u have a 4 valve system buy a 8 wire line. Now u have a built-in backups
And no fancy expensive do dads taking up space in already cramped box.
    Just smarter not harder😅 😊✌️👍🏽

What is a doubler use for?

Doubler allows you connect two valves on one set of wires and control each valve separately from the controller so you do not need to run wires back to the controller.

Hello- I understand how the DOUBLER works. Here is my question. My timer only has 6 stations, but I have 7 valves. Can I tie 2 value solenoids together at my front yard, and run them both off the timer on one station? Water pressure is not an issue for me as they are both drip systems. @@EasyIrrigationRepair

Hi @@ronhummel9298 In your situation (since you have enough water pressure to water two valves simultaneously) you could probably just wire both valves together if your controller outputs enough power to run both at the same time. In this case you would not need a Doubler since both valves just run at the same time for the watering time set on that station.
If you wanted to have both valves operate independently (ie you wanted to water different amounts of time per zone) the Doubler would allow you to use a single station on two different programs. Program A would water one valve and Program B would water the other. The Doubler allows you to use the same station twice in essence adding an additional station to your controller for watering that 7th valve on its own.

I did wire the two valves together, but my Orbit BHyve timer faults out on that station sporadically, so I will probably try the Doubler and use your suggestion about Program A and Program B to independently control them. On the timer side, how would the wiring be done since it's running off one zone? Thanks- @@EasyIrrigationRepair

@@ronhummel9298 The two valves wired together may be drawing just a bit too much power but may be right on the edge of its specifications which may be why it only faults sporadicly.
For a “Dual program” (Program A and B) you would not need to run the jumper wire between stations since you are using the same station twice (once on Program A and once on Program B). When you program the start time for program B just add up the total of all the watering times on Program A and then set your start time after it ends.

      Example:
      Program A Station 1 - 6 run for 10 minutes each = 60 Minutes
Program A starts at 8:00 am so end time would be 9:00 am
Make your start time for after 9:00 am. You can make it for 9:05am or you can leave a longer gap in time to account for any water time adjustments you make during the year on your Program A without having to adjust your start time for Program B to keep it simpler.
There is a section in the product installation instructions for this type of install (Option 2) but if you have any questions you can always call in. We are always happy to help!
