One of the best "sleeper" comedies ever! It was always funny and the characters zany antics were fun to watch. Being scared of jello was one of the funniest things...I rewatched it during the pandemic just to laugh...NBC was firing on all cylinders with this, Friends, Seinfeld, Will and Grace, Cheers and Frasier.

Just watched first four seasons of 3rd Rock, because I couldn't stop. Funny as these blooper scenes were, they pale in hilarity to the nano-second captured and aired as they break character and recover at the speed of light. Don't blink, or you'll miss it !

Great compilation, thank you so much for sharing it. How could any actor keep a straight face for 6 seasons acting with John Lithgow? His face is simply hilarious, even when just blank! He is such a classic actor and a natural comedian. And doesn't Jane Curtin have just the most glorious face! How she played the 'straight' role on the show must have been tough; she is so funny too. I once knew a guy who was almost violently anti-TV. He would watch nothing on the box, not even the news, and would sneer at anyone who did watch stuff. But...he passionately worshipped Third Rock, and never missed an episode. Very odd fellow.
find youtube video "Lisa gets a gold star" interview with French Stewart and Kristen Johnson, could be 1997 or even earlier. in it, French Stewart says something like this. people were just glad to fantasy and go away from daily shows which French believed were just hurtful, and this show was a remedy. Kristen says then people like this show because everyday human behavior could be easily dissected from the viewpoint of an alien, and seem funny that way to people who behave exactly like that just without no offense. beautiful short video

Incredibly underrated!
Jane Curtin breaking up and laughing in hysterics is marvelous.
The writing was razor sharp. Probably one of the greatest sleeper’s in television.
The part where John Lithgow keeps laughing when Jane Curtin farts, that made my laugh so hard!
