I worked for security at a nuclear plant. Ammunition was considered contraband but not as serious an offense as a handgun. The best advice is that if you have a backpack, duffel bag, or whatever that you use to take a firearm to a range for practice or hunting, use that bag exclusively for that purpose. Get a different bag for everything else.

Interesting to watch. I wonder if you’re aware that the age for alcohol consumption in some countries is not always the same as in USA; consequently the country ship is registered must surely be relevant - apart from actions to recognise & respect laws of country whose waters your vessel is currently in. Display of ID is mandatory at all times while in office as well as the entire "grounds" which is open to the public. Over decades of working in the operations center I never heard of or saw a security report come in at our location or any other (I worked at a regional hub responsible for over 10 locations) about a worker being targeted because their badge was displayed.
What I have seen is that workers transiting from work/home have been targeted and had their backpack/purse/bag stolen. Whether it be on their person or left in their vehicle. It's why when we are in any sketchy area the only thing my GF carries is her phone in her pocket.

So on our last family vacation on Carnival last November. The Uncle in our group "cleaned" out his backpack in the cabin before going ashore in Roatan. Well he had several SPENT shells in his backpack. He tossed them in the trash can in his room. When we got back on board, security was waiting for him. Took him to the cabin, he agreed to have them fully search the cabin. He explained that he had taken his backpack to the range before going on vacation. We had flown to the ship and nothing said. Thankfully he didn't have any more or a gun of any kind with him. Security cleared the room and him, THANKFULLY!!!! No other action was taken, thank goodness Carnival handled it very reasonably! On his return for identification, the mother of the bride was arrested as she assaulted two officers because she demanded the officers release her son.

@@DonnaBorn138 I think limiting the number of alcoholic drinks people can buy per day is a better idea. If someone is buying drinks for other people then kids won't get as drunk. And whats the point in limiting drinking to people 21+. Its probably people 18+ who were getting drunk and they were probably getting drunk on land so why is cruising different. I doubt alcohol contributes to that many overboard incidences otherwise ships should not offer alcohol at all or drop the number of drinks even more.
I would rather people not get drunk because many are loud or rude and that affects other people but I dont want people telling me that I cant have a second serving of chicken nuggets if I can afford the second serving.
