What proof is there that your spouse loves you??? That your spouse married you? Longevity? No divorce? What your spouse says or does to or for you? Or is it enough you want to believe your spouse loves you? With many marriages starting in fornication, moving onto adultery, abortions and divorce, sometimes murder, being married is no proof of love, is it? So how do you prove love...or prove hate for that matter? Some people absolutely hate and denounce unrighteousness and injustice - does that make them hateful people that need to be destroyed? Criminals might think so. Communists might think so. Also, there are many things we believe, yet, we have no faith (no trust) in them. I believe water can quench my thirst and, at the same time, unless there is clear evidence to the contrary, I must also choose to trust that the water isn't poisoned. If it's good quality well water, not only do I believe its water, but, I also trust it, even though I don't necessarily know beyond doubt that on that particular day it was not poisoned by a crazy neighbor. I also believe Biden and Trudeau are our Western Leaders, yet, I've never personally met them. So do I trust the media who tells me who they are? Do I trust that they are good Leaders. No. Not even a little bit. While I do believe we have a MSNM and that our Dear Leaders exist, but, I do NOT trust them. In my case, I place my trust in Holy Divine God and not in anyone or anything created, not anymore. My first 35 years of life experience told me that I could marry my husband having known him only 5 months, and 31 years later we're doing fine. Could I have proved to anyone our love for each other was real? Beyond doubt? No. Yet, I knew...just as I know God's love for me s not a figment of my imagination, and that His enduring Truth is even more real to me than is my (created) husband who, with lots of proofs and with no doubts, is my very best friend on earth. He, by the way, is an Evolutionist so sometimes our conversations are quite interesting 😂 The psyche (soul) exists above the physical and material realm and below the spirit(ual)...where experience, knowledge, beliefs and faith (trust) battle it out between the Source of Truth & Love and the Source of Lies and Hate...and some of us (like Spawning Salmon) have been Truth Seekers all our lives, it's like we're driven ever forward to accomplish something that only gets revealed day by day, year by year, and mainly by God's Holy Spirit and with God as the Living Word and with God's own words. However, not all Truth Seekers have the privilege of being born into and raised in national Christendom (the West) with it's civilized rule of law and it's spiritual NT Christian Bibles available even in our hotels. Instead, some Truth Seekers are born into cultures where neither rule of law nor bibles are available to protect their rights and develop their character, and provide insight into our Creator's Plans for His human creation. Yet, they still, almost blindly, seek a path of love and truth, no matter what it costs them. In many ways I admire those Truth Seekers most of all. Well, I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone, I'm merely expressing my beliefs and encouraging others to believe as do I...but, Jesus never imposed Himself on me, so neither do I ever impose my beliefs about Him on others. Yet, I must "show Him off" because He has answered every question I've ever asked, even if it took years, and He was so patient with me during my immature stage...so, yeah, I recommend Jesus to anyone who cares to listen! By the way, I do not go to church, I do not attend any of Christendom's many religious organizations and denominations. I follow only Jesus. I read my Bible, pray, trust and obey. That's it, that's all. Anyhow, Dennis, you've given me things to think about 😏 and I wish you all the best life on earth has to offer.

Excellent testimony. We all have to start somewhere. I started when I went to a fortuneteller with tarot cards in NYC. She laid the cards down in front of me and they described my past, present, and decisions I had just made for my future with absolute precision. I was just a dumb pot smoking kid out of high school but I had the good sense to ask: Who shuffled the deck? Then later when I read the Bible through for the first time I learned the distinctions between virtue and vice. And it all hinges on the Ten Commandments, which none of the churches obey. Christians deny the Law Christ obeyed, while the Jews deny the Bible as a whole. Can't have one without the other.

It is a large book so I would challenge you to read it or at least part of it with an open mind. If you do that, you will be able to put all the facts together and decide for yourself. You sound so much like me before I found the truth - I remember a very heated argument with a friend about how silly things that are in the Bible sound. I was so wrong. I now don't need more evidence as my journey has brought me to a place in which I can "hear" Him answer me when we talk. @@RafterQ I'm familiar with Josh. His books are only convincing to those already in the fold. He's just another garden variety apologist. You speak of your "journey" and how you were "so wrong," but nowhere do you explain what you were wrong about, or how you found out. You said *"I now realize that the facts were all around me"* and yet nowhere do you present any! This is a common behavior with believers, and points to one explanation; you made an emotion-based decision to give your life "meaning," and facts had nothing to do with it. If they did, you and so many other believers would have so much more to offer than bad apologetics writers who make their money by selling to the flock. The facts are all around us, right Lynne? OK, then let's hear about some of them! Nobel Prizes are earned when people show that something astonishing is true! 😄

As a spiritually-oriented psychoanalyst, I agree what is said here, but might add that faith in God is helped by knowing that God put faith in us when we were created, and that helping to build a sane world is an outgrowth of building a sane self, one that engenders faith that, even without knowing our next step, we can look inwards and find a wise and loving direction.

People can do what they want, but it is really terrible when we Jews lose our own to other faiths. There are so few of us to begin with, and now THIS! It's a shanda! MACHZEV!!!
The profundity of the gospels can often be so mind boggling. Recently, while watching the movie Schindler’s List, it suddenly struck me that in the same way Jesus the innocent One was killed so we the guilty might escape punishment is pretty much how the Jews in 1930s/40s Germany were killed for no obvious sin with the net effect that their holocaust is what saves the guilty Islamists from being targeted for retaliation today. Had the world never witnessed the holocaust, it is arguable that the rampant terrorism of Islamists would have triggered several attempts in diverse places to annihilate followers of that faith by now; even though amazingly the same Jews are so hated and wished dead by the Islamists.
JESUS teaches us LOGIC, REASON, LOVE for others (including how to love self, since each of us was created by GOD ALMIGHTY)......and THE HOLY BIBLE teaches us to seek HIM!
I like Andrew Klavan and agree with nearly everything he says about politics and culture. But is a great misconception to think he converted from Judaism to Christianity. His "Judaism" was an empty ethnic identity with shallow observance and Jewish illiteracy. Actual emptiness. Very typical situation in America at the time that Klavan was growing up. He found Christianity which was presented to him as a very attractive alternative with far more substance than his "Judaism". It's really a shame. Klavan is very bright, and I am certain that deep inside Klavan has inner doubts about Christian orthodox tenets.
I went from Methodists to Baptist to atheist. Realized there is no God. Did some research on biblical stories and found most, if not all to be false. So here I am and finally happy instead of concerned for a soul I probably don't have. Another biblical falsehood.
It's too bad he never really studied the Torah which is his birthright. He would have learned that all the truth he thinks he found in the Gospels originated in the Torah.

@@judithmargret5972 ..Sorry ...but denying legion of Scripture merely because it flys in the face of your sad "dry" theology...does not prove your point...for instance where is your "sinner's Prayer", "Altar Call", or "asking Jesus into your heart" in the Bible?..it not there, because all that was literally invented by "faith-only" revivalist Evangelicals 1000s of years after St Paul and Peter...that is provable history....
of course "the washing" of regeneration", in Titus 3:5 is Water baptism...the Greek word for "washing" there is "Louton" (have you ever heard the British call the Bathroom a "Lou")...it means "Bath in water"...read it and weep:
Strong's Concordance #3067
loutron: a washing, a bath
Original Word: λουτρόν, οῦ, τό
Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter
Transliteration: loutron
Phonetic Spelling: (loo-tron')
Definition: a washing, a bath
Usage: a bath (of water, not the vessel), water for washing, washing.
...Biblically Water Baptism when one receives Holy Spirit and becomes in a child of God have you also never read ?...John 3:5, Galatians 3:26-27, Act 2:38...the Bible is very consistent on this matter ...on the other Hand your "dry" theology is modern, unscriptural and human...

As for what you accuse me off, my sad, dry theology, when you have a religion that denies Scripture of course anything that's truth is sad and dry to you.
As for altar calls, sinners prayers, and asking Jesus into your heart, you're right, they aren't Biblical, and I don't believe they are to be used, neither does my church.
Do you always bear false witness against anyone who disagrees with you?
Anyway to the subject, you would change all of Scripture to make it agree with your twisted theology, but truth is stronger than your twisting of it.
Water baptism is nowhere stated as the means of salvation, believing on Jesus is the only requirement, water baptism comes when we are born again.

I absolutely loved it when he said “…. This is the person I’ve been talking to all this time.”🏵
I agree that Jesus / Jeshua can change a life. For about 4 years, I experienced pain from a pinched nerve. Physical therapy helped me cope, but discomfort was always lingering. One day, Jesus healed the spot. Similarly to Andrew, I expressed sincere appreciation to God and said, "thank you for doing this for me... what can I do for You?" The response I received was, "can you tell people that I care about them more than they know.... and Jesus loves them more than they realize." That's a message I've found a lot people tend to receive gratefully. Not all -- but most.
Why would anyone have a reason to believe you?
Praise God! He healed you physically, mentally, and eternally! Me too!
A Truth Seeker always finds their way, but, there is no denying it's quite a journey. God bless this man for never giving up!
What does a "truth seeker" find?
@@chikkipop The Source of Truth. Jesus. All else is reflected truth. Most religious beliefs and humanist philosophies have some truth, but, none of them are the Source. Truth Seekers are like salmon swimming up the river to the salmon spawning grounds..there is a call upon them they can't ignore...no matter the hungry bears and jagged rocks that hurt them as they swim against the current...they just keep moving forward, they can't help themselves. A Truth Seeker in the West typically knows the name of Jesus, but, Truth Seekers want to actually know Him, not just know about Him, so they rarely fit into the religious institutions of Christendom. Truth Seekers in the East typically don't know the name of Jesus, but, they stand for Truth even if it gets them killed e.g. if a young man tells his village chief it's wrong for that chief to kill a man so he can have his wife, and then the yong man gets a spear through his heart for speaking so fearlessly, I guarantee that he'll be greeted by Jesus and enter Paradise. Holy God plants Truth Seekers all over this earth! Truth Seekers are also fearless Truth Speakers...it just kind of comes with the job 😏
@@catherinecastle8576 *"The Source of Truth."* That's so funny! Imagine thinking like that, completely lacking in nuance, as though *Truth* with an uppercase "T" is an actual thing.
*"Most religious beliefs and humanist philosophies have some truth, but, none of them are the Source."* Sadly, religions are the cause of the kind of confusion common to all believers, who learn of an unseen external "source" which is no more than a human creation. That you have been indoctrinated to believe otherwise attests to your willingness to submit to a comforting story, and the willingness of religions to scam their flock in order to remain in business. Religions know most people *WANT* to be duped, and they take full advantage.
*"I guarantee that he'll be greeted by Jesus and enter Paradise."* I'll bet you do! And when you have *evidence* I'll be the first to nominate you for a *Nobel Prize!* 😁
But back to *reality:* It astonishes me that people so bound up in their delusions at the same time characterize themselves as *"Truth Seekers!"* Of course, you are anything but!
Prove otherwise. Provide solid evidence for your claims, as REAL truth seekers will do. When you can do this, your knowledge will change the world. Until then, you're just another common and self-deceived "believer."
Let's see how fearless you really are!
@@chikkipop can you prove that i'm wrong? So far you're doing no better than what you accuse me...being opinionated. But, that's fine with me. I started adult life telling people "the Bible is nothing but a crutch for psychological cripples". So I am not lacking in compassion for you 😁
Dennis, are you married?
He, by the way, is an Evolutionist so sometimes our conversations are quite interesting 😂
The psyche (soul) exists above the physical and material realm and below the spirit(ual)...where experience, knowledge, beliefs and faith (trust) battle it out between the Source of Truth & Love and the Source of Lies and Hate...and some of us (like Spawning Salmon) have been Truth Seekers all our lives, it's like we're driven ever forward to accomplish something that only gets revealed day by day, year by year, and mainly by God's Holy Spirit and with God as the Living Word and with God's own words.
Another "truth seeker" has fled.😎

What "truth"? Could you explain?
@@chikkipop well, I believe that we are eternal beings created by God. Over 66 books of the Bible were written by men dedicated to that premise and in the New Testament part of those books, specifically the book of John 14:6 it describes how you can know the truth and be set free. It says that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one gets to the Heavenly Father and eternal life without trusting that only Jesus can get you there. In my lifetime, I’ve seen people try to find meaning for life in so many people and things, but I really believe it’s only through Jesus that you can. Blessings to you! Happy Easter!

There will never be *"One Nation Under God"* as long as there are thinking people in this country. His "testimony" won't do anything but confirm the absurdity of his belief.
@@chikkipop Actually it is the other way around from my view point. Many people who were given that argument have done research and every one of them that I know (a few that did research to prove your point) have now come to realize that there is major evidence to prove Andrew is absolutely correct. I am one of them. I sincerely hope that you will do your own research for yourself.
@@RafterQ *"there is major evidence"* I challenge you to provide some of this "major" evidence. And the idea that we need to do "our own" research about something which is supposed to be a confirmed fact is silly. If something so important is a fact, the evidence & "research" should be widely available. I look forward to seeing what you have found!
@@chikkipop If I were you, I would start with a book by Josh McDowell "The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict". It is new because it combines two previously written books into one. It has taken many years because I thought it was silly and you had to not be a thinking person to believe. I was so wrong. I now realize that the facts were all around me, but I was smarter than that!
@@RafterQ I'm familiar with Josh. His books are only convincing to those already in the fold. He's just another garden variety apologist. I think I still have a paperback copy of his original book that someone had given me, and it was laughably unconvincing. Like reading Strobel's book, or "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis, it quickly becomes obvious that these books don't hold up to legitimate scrutiny.

Yessssss!!! The mystical experiential power of the gospel!!! The power of his cross and resurrection is true.
If Klavan parents had been religious, specifically orthodox Jews, he could have avoided so much pain...it's mostly secular Jews who go through this.
JESUS teaches us LOGIC, REASON, LOVE for others (including how to love self, since each of us was created by GOD ALMIGHTY)......and THE HOLY BIBLE teaches us to seek HIM!
Utter nonsense, Suzanne.
