This is crazy. The amount of dopamine I got from this video, reminding me of Ads I had TOTALLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT yet could fully quote. This unlocked some deep shit in my brain!
WOWW!!! I Remember So Many Of Those AWESOME Ads.... The Smoking, The Sunlight, The Clorets, The Welch's, The Crispy Crunch Couple... and The Black's (Among Others)... Man are these incredible memories! Thanks Bro! Especially with the Global Logo.... Would love to see memories from Vision TV....
Would LOVE To See those clips from Awaaz E Punjab... That show was Citytv's BEST Believe it or not.... In fact, people would be drawn in like magnets every Sunday.... if not for the locally produced videos then for their ads too....
I picked up the first season of Wiseguy for 4 bucks at Dollarama a few years ago. As you can imagine it's very much a late '80s series, and some of the tropes used wouldn't work anymore. Specifically Vinnie frequently has to find reasons to sneak away to use a payphone or other available phone to contact his boss Frank McPike(Jonathan Banks) or his tech support Lifeguard,(Jim Byrnes), and risk discovery. These days he'd just text them, and the characters would probably have half or a quarter of the lines as in the '80s. Ken Wahl unfortunately broke his neck in unclear circumstances in 1992. The result was chronic pain problems. When he took part in the 1996 Wiseguy reunion movie he found the 16 days of filming almost impossible to complete, and decided to retire from acting. Peter WIldman of the Frantics in the Swiss Chalet ad. Jeremy Ratchford and Roberta Weiss as the original Crispy Crunch ad couple.
I wondered what happened to that guy. I had a driver on paratransit, that worked at global, but I don't know if he knew who I was talking about, I think he did. I also love y&R. also remember the news theme, good memories.
Virtual hands up how many people watching from Ontario would like to go back to 1989...AND STAY THERE.
🤚
Me,for sure,it would be so nice to go back to a time when Canada was not a total dumpster fire.
I agree 👍..good old days
