The fact that the flashback scenes from the first two original movies that directors looked at that and tried to replicate with future films like Terminator Salvation amongst the others and failed miserably just goes to show that for a brief second in the flashback scenes from each movie that they turned out to be the most brutal apocalyptic machine ruled planet Earth that you could think of in a fantasy setting I mean just the whole scale on how the buildings and wreckage look the skulls on the ground the hunter Killers roaming the streets or boundaries just goes to show you how epic they were in the original two films and could never be replicated
I couldn't have said it better, though I do think Genesis managed to have that ambiance (in the beginning at least). That's why I actually took just shots from T1 and T2 for the video, except for the very last shot ;)
