Lovely video; I cannot agree more that tailoring is such a great way to re-introduce old or hardly worn pieces into your everyday wardrobe! It took me almost 7 years to work up the courage to transform a dear, handwoven dress into a jacket, but I am so happy I finally did it and have not looked back since. Rather than lying around as a dress I used to love, but as I grew older found slightly too short for my liking, the jacket is now one of my favourite pieces to wear again. So yes, take time to properly consider it (maybe not 7 years though), but it's definitely worth altering items to suit your current style or needs, as even the smallest changes can make such a big difference to how you feel in the garment (as the video shows). Plus, there are so many great ways to use leftover fabric, so nothing is lost :)
