Excited to finally try this layering technique. I’ve orders a 1/8 compression bit to get those tighter cuts. Hoping to be able to get one on the machine soon.
So I’ve been watching your unbelievable Camera angels and details on those close ups, truly brilliant work, not only video footage, But the woodworking! Extremely knowledgeable work you’re doing! Cheers to you! Almost as every day is your Birthday! Needless to say I’m living my dream shop work through YOU!! Tell me this isn’t Self Taught, you had to have studied somewhere? Please let us know!! Cheers to you!! My small shop/laundry room would have you spinning in circles. Some what embarrassing lol.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I am all self taught. I've never taken any sort of professional training for woodworking, filming or anything like that. Keep going! My first "work shop" was the back deck at my parents house, and just kept going from there!
🤣 I think I meant to say thin scraps, not small, most of what is in the bucket were offcuts from when I built a table out of some really thick cherry and was left with those really thin pieces I knew I'd use some day! :)
Is there any concern about the the sticky tape “gunking” up the cutter for the times it cuts through the bottom of the work piece or is that a non-issue in your experience?
Amazing work btw sir. You are so knowledgeable on this stuff. I am more in the “hit and hope” phase of my CNC journey. Thank you for sharing your skills.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm still in that stage with some stuff and that's exactly how I learned. Making mistakes is a good thing as long as you learn from them. With most double sided tapes it definitely can be an issue, this particular tape I haven't had that issue with though. It also comes off the workpiece and cnc bed without leaving residue which is really nice!
@@ToolsToday awesome! I should have read the description. I’ll be sure to use your affiliate link when I order some. And thank you for the encouragement. Is that your own shop btw or is it a shop you work in that they let you use for personal projects as well? It looks amazing.
Not a problem at all! I am a full time employee at Toolstoday as a content creator. The shop is a rented space in the basement of what used to be a shopping mall that I have all of my tools in and everything in. Maybe I'll have to do a walk around to show kind of where it's located in one of these vlog videos. It's definitely a different location than you'd find most workshops.

That cool changer is amazing, that must really speed making stuff up
Definitely, it makes a big difference not having to change the bit manually every time!

Sweet.. really like the onion skin trick ..thanks
“Small scraps”? Jeepers, those scraps look better than the good wood I have in my shop! 😂😂

Really nice work
Thank you!
To remove thin wood from double face the I use a fillet knife. The flexible blade allows me to cut under the wood and not bend it.
Congrats to you and your wife... Eli and I share a birthday!
If you use the painters tape and CA glue method, it would have worked out better on the Michael name.
Great video friend.
Definitely would have worked a bit better in that situation.
Nice work
Saya gak ngerti bahasa nya tapi saya suka melihat video seperti ini
Nice work! BTW do you have plans or a video on your lap top stand?
💯👍
What model is your drum sander, please?
It's the Supermax 16-32
