I’m still sore from tripping in my vegetable garden and landing flat on my back between rows. Why don't you take the big branches and tree trunks out onto the bank? At the latest at the next narrow river or culverts you can take out the branches and trunks because they block the drain. But first of all "out of sight, out of mind", as we say so nicely here.
Did you just say you wanted them to take out the TREE TRUNKS!!! Are you serious? Think about it….how much weight would you like them to carry to the bank before their backs snapped in half? Geez

Don’t understand why you didn’t cut up those big branches that are going to get clogged up just down stream?
They don’t need to explain anything. Maybe it is a straight shot to the river, maybe they weigh a ton to lift out of the water, maybe if they got through the clog, they would have ended up where they are going now anyway. 🤷🏼♀️

Kleiner Tipp aus dem Heimatland der Stihl-Säge. Man sollte immer mit einer geschärften Kette in den Einsatz gehen. Die arme Säge tut einem ja schon fast leid! Und ein paar Stunden Training fehlen dem guten Mann auch noch.

You could angle the saw cut about 10 degree to help the free part drop and release toward downstream instead of just closing kerf
