The award-winning international phenomenon THE X FACTOR is back. In Season Three of the hit competition series hosted by Mario Lopez, THE X FACTOR judges will travel the nation searching for talent 12 years old or over -- both solo artists and vocal groups -- who are willing to brave the panel for a chance to make their dreams of becoming a superstar come true. Auditions for THE X FACTOR were held this spring in Los Angeles, CA; Charleston, SC; New Orleans, LA; Long Island, NY; and Denver, CO.
Contestants will audition in front of THE X FACTOR judges, including Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubio, and an audience of thousands. This will be the ultimate test to prove they have the vocal ability, charisma and stage presence it takes to become a global superstar or breakout music act and win a recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.
Those contestants who survive the first auditions will be divided into four categories: Boys, Girls, Over 25s and Groups. Each category will be mentored by one of the show's judges. Not only is it a competition between the hopefuls to stake their claim for the coveted win, but it's also a showdown among the judges as to whose acts will dominate the competition and make it to the finals. The judges may have their say in how the competition progresses, but it will be up to America to decide who ultimately has THE X FACTOR.

***** the funny thing is (and for some reason most people in the states don't know this yet) beibers replacement or younger versions has been around for 4 years now (was discovered on the xfactor in Australia when he was 14 and is 18 now and still going strong) jai waetford ...but guess since he isn't from the states or Canada or the UK people in the states don't really recognize him...they would rather recognize someone with absolutely 0 talent and a severe amount of autotune like jacob

I really hate the way they did this season.. Like why did they even decide to do this? They really lost a lot of good acts I can already tell that the live shows are gonna have people they shouldn't have made it that far. It's gonna be extremely easy to point out who's the best. X factor i beg you to go back to the way it was.

Carlito Olivero, Tim Olstad, AL Calderon and Carlos Guevara are my predictions for the 4 Chair Challenge. Why? Not because I like them or not. It's because of this video, if you pay close attention, those 4 are the ones with more "time" on the video.

Seriously think they made a mistake getting the young ones. I don't understand where they think at that age they're ready. We saw last year how even though Carly was really good, she was honestly just too young. Their voices need to fully mature in order to see what they really have. I think they should change the age limit to 16 like in the UK.

I don't think Stone Martin will go far tbh, I mean I get it... He's cute and young, girls will fall in love with him but is he good at singing? Nope (at least from the audition it doesn't seem so) and even thought ice cream guy was a jerk he had a great voice and let's not forget that girls like bad boys and Spanish language

on the show you are asked to wear the same outfit, hair and makeup when going to the producers audition and judges audition. and they were shot in different days so i'm not surprised they had to wear the same thing again here since there's no bootcamp

I don't mean to be an asshole, but if I'm not mistaken there will not be a Judges' Houses stage this year. The Four-Chair Turn Around stage will be the deciding factor for the top 16, that's why they make it seem so "intense"!

Josh Levi and Al Calderon are the only ones who could sell records after the show.. Maybe Carlito, but I don't like his voice.. and Stone Martin was just a waste of the 10th spot.
Or maybe Zack Beeker could gone solo instead of Stone Martin, I don't think he's group material tbh but I do think Stone could've gone into group since he doesn't have a great voice

Not to be rude, but if you mean Jeffrey Adam Gutt (X-F S2 contestant as well) he is part of the Over 25s top 10, and he will make the top 4 of the Over 25s.
John Lindahl, maybe next season, the streak of INtensity members making it to to the liveshows has to stay alive, hopefully when Ellona makes it this year.
