Lioness Chased From her Meal By Rival Pride | Maasai Mara Safari | Zebra Plains

- A lone Enkoyonai lioness with a warthog meal was acting very nervously. Two lionesses from the topi pride arrived chased her off and took her dinner!
Warthogs provide a large percentage of lions meals outside of the migration season in Kenya but this was during the migration so a less common meal choice.

About Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos:
The purpose of the channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day. The main character. Housefly😂😂😂
Congratulations Congratulations. your videos are real lessons. It doesn't need audio, it doesn't need subtitles and it doesn't need translation; you learn a lot just by watching them
Those two ladies made short work of that little pig offering. Well done and thank you, Rob the Ranger. Great work.
I love how you get STRAIGHT to it Rob without all the talking.....💪🏾
Me too
Best wildlife channel on UA-cam hands down.
...yea, that I thought there was something wrong with my headphones
💪😀🤳
Thank you my friends
Thanks Again Rob for sharing this sighting. I truly enjoy watching your videos all the time. Your video quality is TOP NOTCH every-time. Stay Safe ❤️🦁
That crunch tho.
Fascinating! You can actually see rosettes on the first lioness!
The 1st lioness in this clip...look at her fading spots. I swear her light spots look just like a leopard! Wow!
Just when she got tucked in for her well deserved meal, 2 opportunist come in to reap her hard work. Thanks Rob for this video.
At least she was full by the time the bullies arrived.
I love it when lions are being pestered by flies. 😂 They are so funny in their response to it. I can totally relate to their irritation.
The best picture I've seen yet
I love Lion stories!
I from Kenya 8 years ago I see lion Long time ago I miss Africa animal😥😥😥
Nice Abdi. I grew up in Kenya - primary to university there. But have also been to Somalia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Burundi. Basically whole of Eastern and Southern Africa has lions. My nickname is actual Panthera or in Spanish "El Panthera".
14:50 hilarious chasing it's own tail. Never seen a lion do that before lol
wow, these two hungry lions devoured warthog to satisfy their meal ////
Absolutely beautiful video 👍👍
Beautiful video!!
Thank you very much for this great video ! Fantastic one as usual ! thank you for all the great work sir !!
What was bothering them that made them keep jumping while eating? Snake? Bugs? Or their tails confusing them hitting the tall grass?
Bugs
I love watching lions eat warthog...they eat it all like a delicacy bones and all.
Love to watching your videos.... Specially lions eating. Wild cats eating
That free meal had a sting in it's tail, literally! I'm guessing an ants nest or something because as they took chunks out of their ill gotten gains, something or rather things took bites out of them. They kept jumping away and snapping around in the grass. Well I guess it's true, "there's no such thing as a free lunch" lol. Best video's on the web as always 😊
Eating very good together
Awesome sighting like always Rob. Big hog they are eating. Great video. Many thanks for sharing. Rob do the live show sometime buddy.
The cat got king tusk.
Great video, thanks Rob!

Hello my friend is really nice videos I like your videos I like it
At least the first lion was able to get a decent meal before the others showed up.🤷🏻♀️
Love all your videos of lions! Wish we will meet someday in safari:-)
I can hear my maasai guys chatting in the background..
awesome footage rob
As a casual observer, this seems to provide insight into the greater feeding efficiency of Hyenas. Great video!
Lions need a lot of prey, big, substantial prey. It Is not easy for them to find food, they have to make several attempts.
Hyenas also feed on strepped carcasses, they also eat bones, so they have a better chance of fending food. And they are also skilled hunters.
But lions hunt bigger and more dangerous prey, like buffalo, they are the only ones who can hunt similar animals...
Outstanding video
Do they have a prefferd section to eat if there was a choice or is it all the same to them.
They start where it is softest and work from there, not so much about taste but ease of eating
Thanks Rob you are my favorite Channel I subscribed a few months showed a buddy of mine subscribed immediately!
It's okey then, the 2 lionesses haven't eaten for a week.😁😁😁
Vídeo muito bom parabéns
Wow mutton party good for see
Hello Rob. Question, it seems to me they are leaving the organs alone for now. Do they eat the organs last after they finish eating the flesh off the bone of the warthog or any other living creature as well?
Thank you, excellent video 👏
I hate to say it but those pork ribs look delicious!
Free meal
Tuhaf aslanlar😳
The great circle of life
I'm also a huge fan of all your videos, how about more on wild dogs & hyenas hunting thank you.

Nice
they ate well that day.
🦁🦓
Wonder if it’s fleas or flies that keep biting the lionesses behinds.
Awesome. 🇮🇳
todo bien
Its gone green, wil they eat it in any condition?
Hey Rob i have always wondered what the warthogs warts are made up from and do the predators eat these so called warts.. I really do like your channel it is very informative and has good videoagrafy keep the videos coming thanks for the video's
Did the lioness that made kill invade their territory?
Other way around
I'm curious, your intros of you, are you recording yourself with a camera stand or someone else. Pretty steady there
Mostly on a tripod, some of the recent ones in Kruger were shot by my wife though
@@robtheranger thx for the reply. I always find it funny imagining people prepping up and talking to an object/camera. when I make videos by myself, I always feel strange. I just need to get desensitized of it.
Nice video
Hahahah they have ants in there pants hahahah
Good video
Wow her skull shape is very oblong, even more so than other lions it seems.
It's the two that make them unsymnthing.

🦁🥩
Was the Topi giving chase one of the two eating?
Yes, the first one to the meat was the one that chased
Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos thanks
These 2 lionesses seemed really tolerant of each other. Was funny how their faces were squashing together as they ate around the 20m mark. They must have a really strong bond.
A lot of meat on that hog how much do you think he weighed?
👍👏
The 3rd lioness that chased off the first one ...never came back..did she?
The one that chased is the one that started eating first after the chase, the one that was chased (the original one that caught the warthog) is the one that didn't come back
Rob how is Brandon? & are things slowing down?
National geographic picture quality
wowww
Out of all the videos I’ve seen I think this maybe the 1st one where I saw lionesses chase away another lioness from their meal. Normally it’s males.
Actually when it comes to meal, lionesses are more hostile to lioness of other pride than to young male especially nomad males..
Wow man. :D
🤠
did the warthog made it out
Those lions have some leopard pathern in their skin is that normal?
i love watching rob videos but they talk to much to me that's disrespectful to the lions

واجعلني اسير في خطاه مااحييتني ياالله
وعز يامال العز 😍💪🔥
20:30, they kissed each other by mistake, eewww!
Rob 1 more ? for you. It doesn't have to do with this vid just so you know. I was curious to why a leopard is able to kill a caiman and a half a pride of lions can not take on a medium to small croc even when the croc is out of water?
Hi I think your thinking of a jaguar that lives in Brazil and the rest of all the Amazon's. The Jaguar has the strongest bite force of all the big cats and are a water loving cat, so will happily swim to attack a caiman, which also live there not Africa. It's worth watching some clips of them to see the impressive jaw muscles they have. They are how ever far more endangered then the African Big Cats and the most difficult to film by a huge extent. Probably on a par with the incredibly rare Snow Leopard in the Northern and Central Asia's high mountains. Hope this helps :-) 😊
I am watching this video in 2024 it’s 5 years old I wonder if that lioness still alive?
The one that was chased, yes.
Wassup with their tails
Probably sitting on an ants nest.
Poor warthog...
So you went all the way to Sub Africa to watch a hair covered female gnawing on pork...I can see that at the local ribs joint.
Mmmmmmm🥓🥓
They seem to go for the actual meat before the nasty organs.
Enjoy these videos when you can because if things don't change soon the only lions we and our kids generation will see will be in the zoo.
Why aren’t there any videos of the male lions when they pride gets tooking by another male or maleswhat happens to them jus a ?
Males that lose their territory without dying in the process become nomadic. There's plenty of videos of old nomadic males available. Sometimes males lose a pride but takeover another so there's plenty of videos of males with prides that they have after losing other prides.

A French in the background. 🙂
Lucky she had maybe half, to kill a warthog was not that easy
You do keep the noise down on the videos and don't do all that talking , she did eat her a good piece
😋😋😋😋☝️☝️☝️💪💪🙏🙏
Wonder if they eat the skin n fur too. When really think of what it actually is, pretty gross an animal eating so of another animal lol
I thought lions ate organs first favorite?
