Ian what a beautiful job you did with this video! Straight and to the point. I only wish I could afford this. The quality shows through and through. Hopefully I will win the lottery before April 2018. That is my due date to go on the road but I think it will take a bit longer. In the meantime if anyone would like to donate one to me I would be forever grateful! April is my birthday month and I will be 65 so I want to be on the road for quite awhile before I truly become a senior in my mind. As long as I look at the green instead of the roots! Haha!
This is an absolutely outstanding overview of the Arctic fox 11:40 I have owned two artic.fox 1150s and we will be taking a delivery of our new artic.fox 1140 wet bath with the rollover lounge probably around May 15th 2023???

Gaskets on slides will harden - freeze at what temperature?
I am new to camping, using my SUV for equipment transport and a mattress for sleeping in back.
At some point in time, I would like to trade my SUV for either a truck camper or a self-contained camper.
Need to know if I should investigate the slide-in camper first or the truck? Since I could live-in a truck camper, I would like to get the slide-in with the features that best suits my needs, keeping in mind the size, cost and features of the truck.
Would appreciate comments from experienced truck campers. I am single, so my needs are not for a couple or family.

According to the specs on THE New 2018 NORTHWOOD ARCTIC FOX CAMPER 1150...
It states that the interior height is just 6.58 FT HIGH.
With all due respect, how tall are you? You seem to be very short because there seems to be a whole lot of headroom with the cathedral ceiling but the Spec Sheet States - Only 6.58 Feet High... I just want to know because I am 6'4" tall.

not sure what site your on, but it clearly states that ALL of the truck campers have a 6'7" interior ceiling height
Whoa, Nelly. At nearly 4,000 lbs. dry, with this unit by the the time you add water, batteries, rifles, fishing poles, food, beer, clothes etc., etc., plus the lovely couple and their dog in the 4x4 crew cab diesel one ton long box dually, you have now exceeded your truck's GVWR by 1,200 lbs. My Ford F450 has a max payload of 4,646 lbs. Not much weight left over to stock all those endless storage spaces. I'd have to buy a gas engined, single cab, 2-wheel drive one ton dually to carry this. Unless I leave the clothes, beer and the wife at home? Hmmmmm.....

The payload on our 22 ram long bed crew cab dually 3500 is 5440 lb with the Cummins high output Diesel and the aisin transmission.
Do you have to use a dually only for this truck camper?

How much does it weigh? Can a Ford 150 truck pull this?
April, unfortunately a half ton won't have a large enough payload to haul the 1140. You will need a one ton dually to effectively haul this Truck Camper. Thanks for watching!

Now that the dealership has sold itself to the devil (camping world) will we no longer see these truck camper reviews seeing that CW typically only sells garbage bumper pull, class A B C and 5'ers?
I am actually really excited about the transition! Not only will it allow me to review all sorts of new makes and models, but I will continue to review everything American RV stocked, including Lance, Arctic Fox, Wolf Creek, Travel Lite, Camp Lite & Cirrus truck campers. We built a great truck camper enthusiast following (such as yourself), with American RV and I intend to continue that now with Camping World!
