This round table discussion moved me to tears. To have straight friends surrounding you this way is a real blessing. Everyone's story is different; I discovered that I'm gay at the age of 62, but the discussion still pertained to my situation. Thank you so much for filming this discussion.
Thank you for this. The journey is real and this has had a valuable impact. I would invite you to listen to Nichole Nordeman's "Dear Me". The lyrics to this song have opened my heart to so much! Keep moving forward.
really enjoyed hearing from you Mike and your team all but the one guy I believe his name is Ian who used a very hateful nasty homophobic slur 3 different times [ @48:51 @49:00 @1:11:39 ] was very disappointing to me as a Gay christian who has grown up in a very small ultra conservative mid-western town that slur has been used to bully and dehumanize me on a near daily basis I would hope and pray He ( Ian ) learns how to share his past of what he says was full of shame and guilt without continuing to engage in that kinda language. I understand that it does take us as humans time to retrain our brains to be better more compassionate allies.
As Christians, the Bible says to test every spirit and to not go by our feelings. Just because something feels good, does not make it good. When we hear from God, or think we do, it should line up with Scripture. God does not contradict Himself. As Christians, we are called to judge other Christians. If you don’t believe me, read 1 Corinthians 5. We are not supposed to be judging people that are not believers. I do not mean condemn anyone or judge someone in their process, but to judge rightly between what is wrong and right. There’s a difference between someone that’s sinning but has a repentant heart verses someone living in sin and is deceived thinking they’re ok. It is very dangerous because it’s leading other people astray.
Well that’s very dismissive and arrogant. Him posting this is the MORE that’s to be done and said. If you don’t want to hear it there are billions of other videos to watch in this platform.

There is a less theological read: The Children Are Free: Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-sex Relationships Jeff Miner, John Tyler Connoley

if sounding rude and unhelpful isn’t your MO, you could at least talk about what the MORE IS to be done and said
