I used to have low blood sugar when I was a kid. The doctor told me to carry a candy bar and hard boiled egg with me. When I started having symptoms ate the candy bar for the sugar and hard boiled egg for protein that keeps the sugar from burning off so fast. I did the same for my daughter when she had low blood sugar.

Ransom is the Oklahoma mud master. My youngest daughter is 32 and she planyed in the mud whenever she could. We called her the Mud Master! My and the family have made Jojo a good dog!
A suggestion with Missy have Ransom take a chair and sit on it when you are feeding her and put food a little closer to the chair each feeding while Ransom sits in the chair and talks quietly to Missy while she eats her food. This worked with me and a shy weaning horse when I was about Ranger's age. I am 65 now and seeing this video reminded what I had been able to tame a young horse at 12 years old or at least made her ( the Foal) less afraid of people.
Ransom needs a special feeding dish with a little grain. Each time Missi sees that dish she knows that’s a treat. He should go in and just stand with that special dish. This is what I did with all babies to get them tamed. (Cows, horses, even the pigs)

Drinking 8 swallow @ a time, about 8 ounces...best for preventing Dehydration... sipping Water is not enough! Especially best practice is 8-16 ounces 1 hour before getting the heat! With Hypoglycemia, low blood sugar, the hard candy, Orange juice with 2 tbsp of sugar (2 sugar packets) stirred in, both are great first aid choices. Just remember... Never try to make a person swallow if they are NOT alert. For that instance, Sugar can be placed under the tongue while waiting for EMS to assess & assist. Retired RN, worked at our Summer Camp x 19 summers. Only 1 child had heat related illness.

A few things I learned early on when I was little. 1) I always approached the animals on the farm with my hand palm up. That way they were curious if I was offering food and less leary I was going to try to catch them. 2) With the young ones it worked better if I sat on the ground. I was much less a treat to them. 3) It helps to have a small bucket of feed. While they`re eating you can start touching them ( I think it`s called sacking them out) and getting used to being touched.
Boys love mud!! My grandkids I have 15 and 8 of those are boys. Like ransom loves learning to rope, then they love making battlrfields for their tanks toy soldiers, and for their Rmc cars and trucks. Lol all with MUD !!! Mazy does well with her bunny all the walker children are doing wonderful

Gary, try cutting back on her feed and let Ranson go in with a feed scoop with some feed with molasses mixed in. Have Ransom get a little close and either squat or sit down and hold the scoop out for the calf to come to. Might take several tries but after a while Missi will come to the scoop. Now, Ranger’s goat is neat to watch with him, unfortunately not the cuddly type. Missi was my favorite animal to watch, I can’t wait to see her be haltered trained. My mother-in-law lived two doors down from us, she had the pool. I loved I didn’t have worry about all the maintaining it needs. I loved it we swam daily or evening. Grandma got to see her grandkids daily.
I'm glad your doing better Cassie. If you feel that way again some honey will get your sugar up pretty quick. I had a dog that was diabetic and when she would bottom out I would put honey on her gums she would bounce back quickly. Bonus it's from God. Stay cool out there at school.

My blood sugur has been tested at 39 - 49 frequently due to my medical condition. At that low your brain gets confused and eyesight blurs in and out. Scary situation for sure.

Girl take it from a diabetic. Low blood is harder than high blood. From someone who's been in that situation, eat you a snack around every 2 hours per day to keep your sugar up and eat a good healthy meal in-between 3 times a day. NO SKIPPING MEALS!!! My mother-in-law lived two doors down from us, she had the pool. I loved I didn’t have worry about all the maintaining it needs. I loved it we swam daily or evening. Grandma got to see her grandkids daily.

I'm glad your doing better Cassie. If you feel that way again some honey will get your sugar up pretty quick. I had a dog that was diabetic and when she would bottom out I would put honey on her gums she would bounce back quickly. Bonus it's from God. Stay cool out there at school.

My blood sugur has been tested at 39 - 49 frequently due to my medical condition. At that low your brain gets confused and eyesight blurs in and out. Scary situation for sure.

The best way I have always seen done, and I have done it also, is to just sit fairly close and just sit there and let her come Ransom. Will take a while but better in the long run.

Girl take it from a diabetic. Low blood is harder than high blood. From someone who's been in that situation, eat you a snack around every 2 hours per day to keep your sugar up and eat a good healthy meal in-between 3 times a day. NO SKIPPING MEALS!!!
