9:10 is estimated that in Uruguay we consume 10kg(22lb) of Yerba Mate (hot herbal drink) per person per year. A normal Mate (cup) can hold around 100g (3,52oz) of yerba (herbs) so that means that every uruguayan drinks around 100 mates a year! We are the champions in Mate consumption!!!

Toda la zona tiene una vegetación mediterránea de arbustos y pinares altos. En los alrededores hay bodegas y almazaras de gran nivel. Una maravilla de balneario!

On election day everything is closed because the entire electorate has to vote on the same day* since we have compulsory voting. There are a few exceptions but 2.400.000 or 90% of the electorate voted on that day .
