- The GSG MP-40 is a reproduction of the legendary firearm. The GSG is assembled in a completely different manner from the world war 2 relic and with different parts.
There is an improved safety that has a better feel and more accurate reproduction is on the market. This guide is a simple installation or how to completely disassemble the firearm to get to the hammer, springs, and other internals.

What did you do to your hand guards to make them look so realistic?
You basically use some paint, stain, and other things to turn the plastic into a fake "bakelite." I plan to do a video on that at some point, but if you search making fakelite, you will be able to find a tutorial.

If you look up "fakelite" tutorials, there are others that show you how to do it. I've thought about making a video myself as well.

was the furniture painted brown? Or can you buy?
It was painted to look like Bakelite. There’s various guides online on how to do it if you look it up. I may make a video on it as well.

I have disassembled and reassembled my pistol a lot over the last 2 years. Not it refuses to reassemble now I have a new saftey. So I tried to check out whats going on inside the trigger mechanism area. It fucking flew every which way immediately. Now having a very hard time getting all the springs back in and even putting that back together.
Hagedorn was very disrespectful when I asked him for help and he gave me all the wrong screws.
All these youtube videos are not really helpful. Can anyone just video chat and answer specific questions. The mp40 study group is so gatekeepy with this information.. like be more helpful people.....
I did not disassemble the trigger and this belonged to a friend so I don't have easy access to help. You might try the "GSG MP40 help page" group on Facebook. They seem to be fairly friendly and are also knowledgeable.
@@GearyGunderson they werent so helpful, so I came to youtube. I figured it out eventually lol. Works fine with a missing spring 🤷♂️
