Pastor Jacob Frederick

Pastor Jacob Frederick was born on October 29, 1932 and Born Again on April 12, 1968 at a revival meeting in Decatur, Illinois. Shortly thereafter he enrolled at Tennessee Temple University to study for the ministry. In 1971 he and his family moved to Mattoon, Illinois to help establish the Calvary Baptist Church of Mattoon. Later that church moved to Gays, Illinois.
In 1981 the Fredericks moved to Flora, Illinois, to establish the Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Frederick remained there until 1992 when he returned to Mattoon to again pastor Calvary Baptist. In 2008 he retired from the pastorate and stayed busy preaching in many churches throughout the central and southern Illinois area.
This message was given The Crown College of the Bible and Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee during a college chapel service on March 22, 2006. This may be the only video recording of Pastor Frederick in existence. This video is uploaded by written permission of the late Pastor Clarence Sexton.
Pastor Jacob Frederick is the grandfather of our current pastor, Paul Frederick.
