I have a set of those tires that i have yet to put on my X Maxx just because I love the chevron type Madmaxx tires I have on there now they're actually for the Kraton 8s so I had to buy a 24mm nut adapter to make them work but OMG they have so much traction now.
How do you feel about those trenchers and the weight? I really love the way they look and want to get a set. Have you run into any issues with the trencher tires?
Absolutely no issues and it seems that it can handle the extra weight just fine. Yes, they are a tad heavier.. but it’s a perfectly balanced tire if we do say so ourselves.
I’m glad to see that Traxxas did in fact come out with sledgehammers for the Xmaxx because I really did like them stock on the Maxx V2, it really did improve handling on that truck, my only complaint is that they should have given us a rim option, the black rims that come stock on the V2 look better in my opinion
I know this video is a couple months old but did u say that you had a Traxxas tough body or did you mean you made one yourself ? I didn’t know they made anything like that ?
Seems like the Sledgehammers are our favorite on every car right now!.. its the fact that they perform AMAZING in all seasons (being best in winter 🥶). Thanks for supporting us!
Have you been running in wet conditions? if so, make sure you plug the breather holes on the inside of the rim to make sure moisture can’t get in there. 😉 if you forgot todo that, just poke about eight holes in the tread of each tire. It wont hurt it and it will spin the water out.
Feel free to comment!
Just stumbled across your channel. Cool video with tons of Traxxas rides I see. New sub from me. 👍
Great vid guys. Awesome to see a father son having fun with RC. Such a great hobby.

Agreed! Thanks for the comment! 💙🧡
Lol traxxas is pretty cool
Just discovered yall's channel I subscribe
Thanks bro 🧡💙
How bad do these balloon compared to the stock xmaxx tires? I like my sledgehammers and trencher lp and badlands on my 4s maxxes.
About the same, but since the tread is more blocky and it’s slightly wider, they don’t blow out as much
How about a x max bumper with a light in it so i dont have to cut it out eveeytime i need a new bumper

Traxxas does make a tougher body for their cars, but this is way tougher. This is the “Indestructible Brute Body” from Proline!

Thank you bro 😎
I wish I could get my daughter to come out with me
He’s a boy but that would be nice!
Which tires perform the best for you? Great content we need sway bars for the X-Maxx.
