Christianity is a far bigger shackle than slavery ever was.

It was always Christianities goal to spread the gospel and make people, slaves or otherwise, conform to 1 god. Its known as monotheism. Its what monotheist religions do. Before the Romans became Christians, when they were polytheists, they didn't care what religion you were So when . Neither did the Greeks or the Aztecs for that matter. They took over another city state or empire and you could keep your god/gods, your religion they didn't care. As long as you did what they said you could go and worship whoever you wanted. Only after christinity spread did it become an issue to be anything other than christian. And for the most part we are still living in a christian society. If you r not a christian your a sinner and must be converted.

@@danblaize5742 We've always been here. The internet has just opened up the door to many more schools of thought. I am 35 so I remember how isolating it felt early on questioning Christianity. There were forums and stuff back then but not how it is today. Much easier to find other black people who felt like me. Thank goodness for my mother though. She allowed me to converse with her about my viewpoint and in a lot of ways encouraged me to keep asking questions and seek my truth. She isn't an atheist or agnostic by any stretch of the imagination but she is a thinker. My father wasn't having it though lol. I still remember finally telling this man I don't believe. My foundation isn't any of the above mentioned ideologies which are Eurocentric ideologies of compartmentalization. I base it on the ancient Sacred Science(s) of Original People which is holistic. Everything is everything. You are your parents, they are their parents and so on and so on. That is Truth and can be readily proven. That doesn't need philosophical debate or in depth scientific studies to come to that conclusion...its basic common sense. I've always questioned the Bible and how we guide our lives based on a book that MAN translated...(KJV).. How do we know that those books in the bible are not a perception of how those men thought and not what God interpreted... Also if Adam and Eve were the first beings..When did the cavemen and Neanderthals come into place.. Dinosaurs existed but was it before Adam and Eve or after? Why weren't Dinosaurs in the Bible? It is said that Adam and Eve were created approximately 70,000 years ago, but its said Cavemen were around 1,000 000 years BC.. (Before Christ)... Two things will happen: not only will you start treating that God like your servant, but you will also never become better as a humam by overcoming hardships/evil. You would remain a nasty sinful peace of work if God fixed all the problems of the world as they came. Furthermore, it was always in God's plan to let evil be. Evil exists purely as the means for our salvation/holy ascension. Use sin/evil to your advantage by overcoming it with God's help by following his natural laws and commandments as a guide. Thinking there must not be a God because of the evil in the world is a very common pitfall and one of satan's best lines.

It is incontrovertible that religion is man made, divisive, and a tool used to control people. That said, religion and faith are personal.
