White tiger, I feel like you can ride it a little shorter then the gremlin and astropop where it feels very versatile and fun. I’ve ridden all 3 and have had the most fun on the white tiger. White tiger - really fun and has this amazing glide that I haven’t felt in any other groveler before. Gremlin (squash tail) - feels like a little paddling beast, even in a 5mm suit it was super easy to get into waves. I’ve never tried it as a swallow but I feel like that would make it a really solid board. Astropop- it’s like a little rocketship, super fast and fun
I'm 6'0 190lbs intermediate and I surf the Gremlin as 5'11 with the stock dimensions (34.9L). Does super well in weak and small waves and also works great in 4-6 foot when its more powerful. Super easy to turn, slides right into the wave, paddles great, and has speed. Really like it and looking forward to a 5'11 Red Tiger with 31L
Gremlin!! Pyzel Boards are epic. Living in Florida, we are surfing small waves majority of the year. You really need a board that is going to allow you to have fun on small waves. Easier said than done. I rode one of my friends gremlin and I loved it. It really gets up and goes. Speed is super important on smaller waves and gremlin has it. It's an art to put more volume on a stick but still keep its maneuverability. I'll get one when I can for sure. Pyzel keep doing what you're doing. Keeps us frothing for more. YEEEEEEEEEEW!
For me the White tiger would do it, seems like such a fun and fast board. Especially the one in the video looks so good with the whit and red!! Ngl that I am also very excited about the breadstick.
Pyzel Funformance surfboard Astro Pop is sick dope. I was at a point in my surfing where I was starting longboarding quite a bit, and not quite enjoying the waves. I rented the Astro pop on a trip to Puerto Rico, and I fell in love. Perfect amount of stability and performance. I'm sure all 3 board models are fun, but Astro Pop won my heart. Thanks Jon for the great info!
My man and I both turn 50 this year! He is teaching me to surf and he makes it look so effortless on his older boards. I'd love to buy a pair of astropops for our birthdays so we can surf together. Fingers crossed, Im hoping to win one for him. He loves Pyzel and JJF!
I live in San Diego. So each one of these boards go great here. My favorite of the three is the white tiger. It does what I wanted the gremlin to do. I come from skateboarding and the white tiger is a very playful, maneuverable small wave board.
Congratulations @travj25 ! You won the surfboard giveaway...stoked to get a Funformance Surfboard under your feet and see how your skateboard skills do!
I am 5'8" and I ride a 5'6" Astro (Astro Glider) and it is my favorite board and it handles waves from waist to 4' to 6'... That White Tiger would be the evolution for sure.. Aloha Jon
Dream boards. In my opinion John Pyzel was the best goofy foot surfer at Rincon. The guy rips!! Great vid!! Im definitely going to change up my quiver. Salud
I love the Astro Pop, its such a fun board ! I can't wait to try the White Tiger and the Red Tiger... and the Gremlin of course ! Thanks for the great demo John ! 🤔🤨😛🤙
Have only had the astro pop so far and it blew me away in punchier waves in northern and even the fun reef breaks in panama, really interested on how the gremlin and white tiger feel would be fun getting to compare them all myself but guess we all dream that.
I took out a white tiger out on small Florida waves and I felt like I had the "Eye Of The Tiger." I was able to chase sections down the line and with the speed it gets, I was able to perform maneuvers with power. RAW!
I had an Astro pop I loved, fast and smooth but also could surf it both more high performance than I would have expected and because of the swallow and slightly tighter tail held in overhead waves better than I would’ve expected. Always preferred it as a quad with much smaller fins than I usually ride, or a 2 + 1.
I have only had quick tries of both the Gremlin and Astro-Pop that belong to friends, both are really fun boards! I have a Phantom and a Ghost (which I am in love with) and I am in the process of ordering a Padillac from the UK. Pick me Jon - I will have a FULL Pyzel quiver then!!!!!!!!!!😁🤙💥
Great video explaining the difference between these 3 outstanding boards. My favorite board is the Gremlin. I like the concept of this board being a scaled down version of the Phantom. I could surf my favorite spots on Oahu waist high or overhead.
Came because of my Wildcat, stayed for the White Tiger. The Wildcat introduced me to twin pin fun, and love the speed and flow. Pretty sure I won't ride anything else until I get my hands on a White Tiger!
Am riding the Gremlin 5'4 in epoxy & the foamie Gremlin 5'0 at USM Melbourne. Love how you have managed to keep these feeling so similar despite quite different constructions & widths. Love them both & they are my first Pyzel boards 🙏🤙
Demoed the white tiger recently… immediately thought to myself “this is a better version of a fish”. All the glide and wave entry of my twinnies but a lot stickier and more stable in the wave. I love fish but on the WT I was going to sections and turns I would never hit on the fish.
Gotta get your Aus manufacturer 3rd Rail to offer stringered epoxy!!! You will get WAY more sales than the electrolite construction....... especially in these board models!!
For me the white Tiger is the best board. Before the surfsession I just stand on the beach close my eyes and I can imagine how I rip on that board just as hard as John John does. And then I have a shitty French beach break summer session. But still always so stoked :)
I am really liking the White Tiger the more I see it......should be an awesome board for here in HB. Plus watching JJF shrink his boards down by 8in, says a ton about how nicely the foam is distributed!! Thanks for the insight Pyzel!!
Never rode a pyzel, but I like to try a white tiger! The white tiger looks very speedy through smaller sections, turns well, and is something that I would enjoy! Great video!!🥖🔥🔥🔥
my favorite board is the gremlin because no matter the conditions everyday is a good day on that board! goodluck everyone and thank you pyzel for making awesome boards!
I’ve never ridden one of your boards and from everything you’ve said about each one it sounds like the Astro Pop is a fit for me. I like swallow tails, and it seems like the best one that would scale up for a guy like me who is 6’3 at 222 lbs. I’m thinking 6’8 to 6’10. Let’s go!
Finally in my shortboard era and went for the White Tiger. After discovering the White Tiger, I got to say Pyzel has boards for any type of conditions.
My favorite funformance board just simply based on looks/style, is probably the Wildcat! After watching Finn take that thing to pipe during the triple crown, I was convinced that that board is the board I need lol! 😂 The only Pyzel board I’ve ridden tho was a Phantom XL back when I was still learning, but now that I consider myself a solid intermediate, I definitely need to start trying out more Pyzel’s! 🤙🏼
My favorite Pyzel Funformance surfboard is now the White Tiger. The flatter rocker through the nose and the tail is perfect for generating speed my home break in San Diego. These are the best surfboards in the world. Trust me, I’ve surfed almost every Pyzel model at one point or another thanks to OfferUp deals lol.
For funformance gotta go with the white tiger! I never liked the tail of a fish but loved their ability to be fun in small waves. With the white tiger's flat bottom and wider design, I can see the speed. I like speed.
The dope-ness is real! All 3 of these boards look like fun rippers, but, my vote is for the Astro Pop! Why, you may ask? Simply put, I am an old(er) man who likes things that look retro, but, perform above their pay grade! That cool fishy swallow tail looks like it would be fun and and it kind of reminds my of a shortboard version of my current favorite, sorry Mr. Pyzel, but it is my 7'6" Lopez Little Darling (did I mention I am on the older side?, well not THAT old, but some days I feel old enough), But yeah, the Astro Pop looks like it smells like the late 70's but without the shag carpeting, more post-punk than Disco, Moogs over double neck guitars . And man you gotta love a quad! Or a thruster! We also have some shoulder season waves here that it looks like it would be super fun to ride on where I live in the Azores. When things start pumping in the winter, it seems like the board would be able to handle it. Well, really, I should say, I could handle the board in those conditions.... maybe. :)
My favorite? Been riding an Astro pop for 3 years and it’s the best board I’ve had. Why? For SoCal, it rides anything up to head high and it FLIES! Love this thing even tho it’s beat to hell haha. Very curious about that white river…
I think the Astro pop looks chunky in pics online, but in person it’s a proper blade. I’m 6’2” and ride a 6’0”… always getting random dudes asking about it on the beach / in the water
White tiger hits the spot for me. It has the widest usability range of the boards in terms of conditions and that’s what’s gonna get you out the door and into the surf most often! The wide tail and therefore flattest exit rocker also helps promote “flow” in your sessions and that’s what really lies at the heart of this whole surfing business IMO!
For me I would say the white tiger for sure, it seems such a nice board to ride in all conditions, I am not a very good surfer but I feel like I could surf this board anywhere in the world. Also the type of red looks amazingly good and the thing I like the most: John John surfs it so what else do you need? 🤙
Do you guys have any program such as like a "gift a grom or something like that? Because I want to try one of your boards, but my parents said they can't afford it 😭
What about the Breadstick??? I can neither conform or deny I am asking for a surfer with the Initials Koa Rothman😂
White tiger, I feel like you can ride it a little shorter then the gremlin and astropop where it feels very versatile and fun.
I’ve ridden all 3 and have had the most fun on the white tiger.

I have the gremlin, and its a really fun and fast board to ride! I had no problem surfing head high to slightly overhead waves. Love it! 🤙🏼
I’ve used the same 5’6” Astro pop for 3 years now!! Thing has probably 30 repairs but still is such a fun board in small-head high waves
Gremlin!! Pyzel Boards are epic. Living in Florida, we are surfing small waves majority of the year. You really need a board that is going to allow you to have fun on small waves. Gremlin=Flow state!!! Frothiest of flow and zero bite! Love the GREMLIN! Would love to try the White Tiger, sounds like a sweet ride!!
Very helpful. Now need a video comparing the red tiger, shadow? Highline?

My fav is the white tiger because it’s the most approachable short board you have and I’m just learning to rip a short board!
great summery with great choose of oldy music🤟🤟
i had a 5'7 astropop.was amazing.might try the gremlin in electra eps...🤔

White tiger reminds me of a fun performance mini Simmons. Something special for those summer days or in between swells in the winter❤
The Gremlin is my favorite because the Phantom is my daily driver. Having a groveler with the same feel as my daily is unbeatable 🤙

I was just there in Waialua Sunday asking the same question before I bought the Gremlin
Astro pop is the best funformance by far, work smarter not harder. Shred even the worst waves 🌊

White Tiger all the way! Full frame, like Jon said if you would add a fish tail it would look like a fish. Great design and is very versatile. Mahalo!
my favorite board is the gremlin because no matter the conditions everyday is a good day on that board! goodluck everyone and thank you pyzel for making awesome boards!
Roses are red
I love my white tiger
So does John too

The white tiger looks sick! Never had a Pyzel so im not sure.

After watching that footage of JJF surfing it who could argue 🤯
Very important explaination. I have my gremlin and phanton
I have the 6’ 0” Astrofish FunFormance it’s so damn fun! So good for my size (I’m a big guy) turns amazing as a twin!

so you've ridden the Gremlin and still prefer the WT? I'm torn on these two models, also for San Diego
@@cwr8618 I love the WT for sd waves. It’s all I’ve been riding this summer

Can you do an Astropop in squash?
How mental was that board break down? Looks like my new favorite is the white tiger, would be a Florida cheat code 👌🏼
How does the red tiger compare? Obviously more high performance but can it do what the white tiger does?
White Tiger, hands down!!

White Tiger seems so unreal!!!
