- Columbia will replace its universitywide commencement ceremony on May 15 with "smaller-scale, school-based celebrations," university officials announced Monday, after weeks of pro-Palestinian and counterprotests on campus.

I'm an an old man but visited Lebanon in 1968 as a teenager with my parents. It was a rich, dynamic and peaceful paradise of the Middle East. The people there were incredibly friendly. Beirut was jammed with tourists. Food was great, the girls were stunning and there was a natural easiness about being there. My mom bought a bunch of jewelry. My dad played cards with new friends at the hotel pool. I wanted to live there.
A few short years later I saw pictures of the hotel we stayed at. It was completely destroyed by war.
That was Arafat's legacy. He sowed death and destruction everywhere he set up shop. He made the "palestinians" the most dreaded guests in the Arab world. He died a billionaire. His people still honor his memory. Go figure.
Because the people know the truth on the ground and not what u see from news it’s hard to live in paradise next to a country oppressing humans in the most brutal ways it’s hard for humans humans to know how bad others have it especially if you have it so good

Yesterday HAMAS attacked the crossing where the aid to Gaza was delivered. Hamas wants the escalation. All this whining about starvation is fake, if you attack the crossing passing aid.

Maybe the diplomas should be mailed. Students can wear their gown to the mailbox, toss their tassel and thank the handful of classmates responsible for that.
I guarantee you students will still get their diplomas.
Typically the actual diplomas are already sent the mail after graduation ceremonies. This has been common practice for decades.

Do you know that Gaza is the worlds largest open air prison and concentration camp, holding over 2,000,000 Palestinians a majority which are children.
Somebody get this kid a history book. Tell that to the 200,000 Gaza's who went to Israel every day to work. Israel removed all traces of Jews from the Gaza in 2005, including digging up their cemeteries. They easily could have been turned the Gaza into Singapore. But instead of taking that aid money and all that free concrete and building monuments to their people, stretching for the sky, they built terror tunnels. The leaders of Hamas live in Qatar and are worth BILLIONS. Where do you think that money came from?
