Jerusalem's history is so rich, but it's sobering to think about Jesus' prophecies regarding its destruction. In Luke 19:43-44, He warned that enemies would 'build an embankment against you and encircle you' and seeing how that came to pass with the fall of Jerusalem really shows the weight of His words. It’s a reminder of how fleeting even the strongest cities can be and how important it is to pay attention to the warnings in scripture. The fact that these predictions still hold relevance today makes it even more thought-provoking.
Great video and loved the historical accuracy in regards to Jesus prediction on 70ad. I would though suggest that the disciple never asked about the 'end of the world' but they asked about 'the sign of you coming and the end of the age'. Thats not the end of the world and Jesus described prophetically what was about to fall upon that generation. Jesus said they wouldn't even finish preaching in all the town of Judea before he returned. What happened in 70ad was Gods judgement on apostate Israel where Jesus said that this generation will be responsible for the blood of all the prophets. Jesus said to the very disciples that this generation shall not pass until all things were accomplished which was done. Jesus is now on the throne and death has been defeated.
But it is also written the walls of Jerusalem shall be rebuild while they fight the enemies with one hand and build the wall with the other hand. God bless Jerusalem and israel.
