- I'm back from my vacation! So here's the video that should have come out before my vacation, but the important thing is that it's arrived! I saw Puss in Boots a lot after its release and when videos for Death were already very popular on UA-cam, but I still decided to make a video for this character too as soon as I found a suitable song. The character is definitely menacing and a dangerous presence within the plot. The final fight is definitely one of my favorite fight choreography of late in animated movies. There's something I love about Death's facial expressions. The way he can smile and smirk so cynically and then look so angry and intimidating next minute.

He's a villain but technically not evil. He's the physical embodiment of Death and as such he isn't really doing anything wrong. He's basically just doing his job.

Kind of. He is doing his job, but he’s jumping the gun out of spite. He says as much in the crystal cave that he might as well do everyone a favour and take the last one early.
Puss has personally insulted him and been so frivolous with his lives that Death is incensed.
And he has a point, without Death following this vendetta Puss would have wasted his last life.
It’s not exactly petty, but it’s not exactly heroic either.
He has a genuine grievance with Puss and that puts him into the role of antagonist without necessarily being evil.

He’s annoyed that Puss took for granted something so impossibly precious that he had in abundance and wasted it so flippantly on the most pointless things.
Add to that the personal disrespect to say he laughs in his face constantly.
It’s pretty clear he’s hung up on the former and Puss’ own arrogance.
If he kept pursuing him, and let’s face it, he probably could, it would be a petty grudge.
But when Puss starts taking his life seriously is when he backs off. He wanted to do the world a favour and be rid of a hubristic fool, but he sees that change and relents based on his principles because that’s just it. The idiot he came for no longer exists.

This movie confirmed my belief that wolves are great villains and anti-heroes. Death is one dark, intimidating and cynical character with a cool design and love it

Fantastic work for Big Bad Wolf! Can't wait to see tribute to Jack he is second my favourite villain from this movie plus I think that he is kinda your type of villains! By the way I know some several songs which in my opinion will fit him so if you interested I can help you!
Funny how this movie revived this song's popularity despite not even featuring this song due to it fitting this character.

This song fits him perfectly. When I first watched this movie I immediately thought of this song in regards to the character. Especially ironic since he is a wolf.

He's one of my favorite villains now and I hope we see more of him in future films.
That's Great! I definitely like the Death of Puss in Boots, as he really turned out to be a threatening opponent who taught the cat to appreciate every life. I am very glad that you used this song for him, as it is one of my favorites and I think this song is perfect for him.

This was an Absolutely Amazing Tribute for The Death Wolf.
Death is the best Dreamworks villain. What makes him a great villain is that his whistling shivers my spine and is terrified to listen. I love line his underrated line "I'm Death, Straight Up" cause of how he is in a good way. All his reasons are understandable, he doesn't get mad at Puss cause of he is surviving, he's mad cause he didn't value of his previous lives. And the fact that he shape shifted as a wolf is a great parallel to the main protagonist who is a cat.
Very nice! Death is a pretty intimidating villain and this is a good video to him. Good song choice too, great job!

He's definitely the best part of the movie. I mean, even without him, it would have been better than I expected, but Death elevated it from merely decent to genuinely really good.
I think this was the perfect song for Death, mostly because the art styles for both the original music video and this movie were so similar. But it also fits the personality of essentially death itself so to speak.

Holly hell this was absolutely amazing tribute for Death the Wolf and I do say a very cool and scariest Villain in animated movies. Perfect song choice to and love the Vocie overs pretty great job. Can't wait to see the next one.
I love how Death's defeat wasn't a beat down but Puss changing as a person which killed Death desire to kill him since he now had no reason to do it which is probable the best for the embodiment of Death to be defeated
After all, the whole point was that death cannot be seen stopped, only delayed, so beating him in a fight would cheapen that plot line. That's why Puss calmly accepts that he and Death will come face to face once more. If he hadn't, Death would have probably finished him off right then and there.

i have to say when i see the movie for the first time i was waiting pretty much nothing because the first movie was pretty much forgetable so i was like well let's see the second movie and wow this movie blow my mind he was so good clever wiriting interessing theme a really good evolution and the death oh my god the death he was just so good pretty much little know about him but was a real menace to puss and i think this guy is one of the most badass villain right now

Fits him perfect and this animation style also resembles the music video of the song and the editing ofc with the pausing to hear the dialogue/audio of the actual scene needs a bit of work like the first one just a cut off with a millisecond too soon and then something makes a somewhat similar sound of static and so, but it’s still The New Beginnings Of This Chapter Of The Arkham Asylum Channel And Their Supporting Inmates!!!! Just keep doing what you keep doing as always Arkham!! Which is Keep Up The Great Work And Keep Practicing To Improve And As Well As Relax Every Once in a while gotta take care of your needs and health beforehand! That was really well done. I think a lot of folks jumped on the death bandwagon (Yes, I'm calling it that) a little too soon, and few videos ever really showcased his personality itself (more just his role in the story). This video, however, does both. There's a really nice blend of both personality and action oozing throughout the video, showing the confidence of a presence that is inescapable. You did well, nice job!!

i know you didn't ask or anything but i felt like sharing such a coincidence, but i too am making a video on this movie with this song, but mines more focused on puss's character, since i feel the lyrics do kinda make more sense from his perspective than they would death's, i just think its cool we had the same idea lol

Again like other people say he's technically not a villain he's just doing his job I mean a job is a job...
I wouldnt mind a solo film in this "Shrekverse" im dubing of this character and his back story also if they ever do a 3rd puss n boots movie maybe have death go up against Shrek... And if any character has to like die in the movie maybe have puss die in this eventually death will claim him and like he says no one hasn't beaten him yet but yeah you can kinda think of this version of death/El lobo as this version of negan from the walking dead or more likely lord beerus from dragon ball super to a degree...
But yeah another great tribute man keep up the hard work on these your editing skills are amazing and just adding dialogue in the tributes is like the icing or cherry on this cake of awesomeness major props...

Can someone please tell me why the physical embodiment of Death is a wolf? Because I can’t get wrap my head around it.
(Plot wise) think it’s to play in the whole predator and prey dynamic of a canine and a cat
I mean it makes about as much sense as the physical embodiment of death being a human skeleton. Or just a bit of void in some robes, or buff blue dude wearing skull mask, or or a pale woman with a 90s style outfit. Who dictates what death looks like?
🧐🤫 listen everybody I know it's hard to argue because the movie put such focus and hype on the character but the truth of the matter is death is not the villain of the movie. He is an force of nature that puss to overcome. Jack horner was the true villain of the movie he just wasn't given that much focus. You know a prestige on complex movie villains that have good reason to be evil. For example the movie 2012 was the world changing and all the humans of the world had to build a mechanical ark and get on it to survive it. The baseball game that a physical form so puss would have to come to terms with how he's lived his life so far.

Gotta say i dont feel this Tribute that much, but i think thats mostly because Death is such a unique and fascinating character that its hard to make a tribute that pinpoints his being.
I think it was pretty on point. Idk if you’ve seen the music video for the song itself but it’s actually kinda similar to this and his character.
(The Wolf official music video, a man being chased by wolves or these supernatural creatures, something that he can’t escape and in the end he faces them head on the protect the ones he cared about).
Of course not the same scenario EXACTLY here, but almost. Death was after Puss cause he wasn’t appreciating life, so he was basically just trying to make him… well, as death he couldn’t exactly open his eyes so he had to put a little fear in him that he only had one life left to live. I think the song kinda does fit with Death and his mocking of Puss’ fear of wanting to live and not understanding why death is after him, when really he just needed to get his act together and stop thinking he was “immortal”, as death put it.
I’d say check out the original “The Wolf” Siames music video animation if you haven’t. I feel like they’re lowkey similar.

Also this entire debate is very subjectiv by nature. Different people will have different feeling and experiences leading to different perspections. So while u may find it on point, i simple found it a bit lacking. Not bad, just a bit underwhelming compared to his other work
