Robbie Mcholland you’re a clown if you don’t think that is one of the best overtimes in the history of rocket league. There may have been missed shots and opportunities but the sheer amount of well placed shots and perfect saves was amazing. Both these teams are the peak of rocket league defense and combining them in that overtime will go down in rocket league history.

Grand Finals will probably overshadow this series, but anyone who has watched the game 6 here know that the gameplay on that match was by far the best rocket league gameplay ever played.

yeah but looking back i kinda feel bad for PK they got completely screwed on the bracket they got they are probably the 4th best team it was just they got the side were the 3 best teams in the world were on so sadly wouldn't get anywhere. not really a fan of PK but still can feel for them when the competition is that much higher with these 3 teams

To be fair that Kaydop shot was really good, after watching it a few times I really don't think Aztral would have had it, Yukeo's bump actually made it closer. No, they didn't lose the series on this goal, but rather on Aztral HUGE opportunity and miss at 20 seconds of the end 1:00:00

People aerial in rlcs. In fact after season 7 we saw more aerial plays and flip resets. It's just stupid to go for it every time. You must have a weaker understanding of the game

If Aztral gets some target practice in they will 100% win. He missed a crazy amount of shots. Even considering the pressure his accuracy wasn't on point here. His challenging is aggressive but strong. So if he manages to hit more net there is almost no way for them to lose.

I genuinely don’t understand how people are calling game 6 the “best game of rocket league ever played”. I watched it live and just saw it as another intense LAN game, and had to come here to watch it a few more times after people started saying it was the best game ever. Like, emotionally and pressure wise, yeah it was nuts. The long overtime and all of those saves were really intense. But actually gameplay-wise, it really wasn’t that great. So many missed opportunities, useless touches, and plain whiffs. I’m not trying to start an argument or anything, just genuinely wondering what makes all of you say it is the “best game of rocket league ever played”.
I can see where you are coming from but just look at other sports. The games that are refered to as "the best" are those who are the most entertaining and exciting ones. The word "best" can have two different meanings in this case. On the one Hand it can mean the best in terms of skill level and on the other hand it can mean the best in terms of entertaining level. Thats how it is judged normally.

@@shank8120 yeah i see both angles like in the moment this game was so exciting to watch always something happening was a blast but also if your trying to judge purely from a skill stand point there were definite flaws but then again as alexander said most don't just based on that best is a very opinionated thing for the most part dependant on what they enjoy but i certainly would rank this game in my top 5 for most enjoyable games ever watched live maybe it is my favourite but i just don't know.
@@shank8120 This is my personal viewpoint as someone who believes it is probably the best. Take it with a grain of salt of course. This is my take as a mere mid C3 player.
Weve seen in the 2 days before and as this series progressed how good these teams are. Yes, it's true that if they played their "normal" level then the game would have ended faster. But thats the whole point really. They didnt play their peak because both teams were blocking passing lanes so well and getting stops at the box so often, but there was high pressure applied on midfield. Some ping pong hits are necessary to draw out the defense and stalling offense. However, when rotations are stalwart and disruptive play in the form of boost starving and the occasional demo happen, its hard to get a result even from sustained pressure. VIT and DIG are very strong counterattacking teams; commit too much and you get punished. The midfield play is them trying their best to mitigate that, which in turn, has reduced their offensive options. Both teams gave respect to the defensive capabilities of each other and I believe this resulted to some shots being off target because they see that it might just take that much to avoid the defender. Its a messy game for sure, but I believe for different reasons other than simply playing bad with no cause.
Its like watching Inter vs Barcelona at Camp Nou in 2009 in football or Spurs vs Pistons in the NBA finals in 2005.
