Demo of the effect of acoustic treatment for recording acoustic guitar

This is just presenting some recordings I made quite a few years ago (15?) when I was building my home studio to see if the acoustic treatment I installed made a difference. Watch the descriptions and listen to before/after to see what impact my treatment had.

Wow! Huge difference. I found an untreated room in my home sound much better than my treated studio for recording guitar. It is a much bigger room and doesn't have the low end resonances. I am now going to have to try some treatment in that other room!

My room was definitely a worst case - concrete floor, hard walls, empty room, etc

This was pretty much a worse-case to start with. Bare garage, concrete floor, etc.

Yeah I guess I thought with the concrete floor you wouldn’t be able to get as many of those reflections killed off as you did. Sounds like a great live room now.
