    I finally found a left-handed reviewer Channel, I am happy now. It is hard to get a good review for left-handers I'm glad that you're doing that thank you so much.

    I'm left handed myself and found a victorinox trekker which the liner lock is back to front for right handed people so it's great for us because we can actually push its a great feeling

    Great review,
    That Boker knife looks alot like my Cold Steel American Lawman. I really like the RAT !, it's a good size knife for me to carry. I have the same problem that you talked about, some knives I love to carry need to be 1/3 inch longer in the butt of the knife, in order to feel a more secure grip.

    I really love the look of the Tenacious, but I’m worried about the bulk and weight of it for EDC. For anyone who carries a Tenacious, do you find it to be cumbersome in the pocket at all?

  • @christopherc7687
    @christopherc7687 10 років тому +1

    I like the CRKT, personally. I've carried one of these for years. Love the spear point. My current carry knife is the M16-13Z, with partial serrations. It weighs next to nothing, and performs very well. I am so good with these knives that I can open any of them with either hand, even in total darkness. I own a stiletto, and when I want to, I can use the 'flipper' and open it as fast as the stiletto. Excellent design, and I highly recommend these knives as EDC to anyone. The Ontario Rat is also very good. Spyderco does nothing for me. Never has.

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  10 років тому

      Thanks for the comment, I was going to get the KZ which is a Zytel handle instead of stainless I think but chose this one for the swapable clip. I'm not a huge fan of Spyderco either and love the RAT II.

      Living Survival
      My favorite feature of the M16 series from CRKT is that with a torx driver you can completely disassemble the knife for cleaning. I've got a ton of knives both fixed blade and folders without that convenience. I also like the Ka-Bar Warthog folders, although they aren't ambidextrous at all. Cheap folding knife at about $18 each.
      Great video!

    I've got to agree with PM101 on the black coatings on blades. For a self defense yes but any other no. You can see the use and wear more. Without coating you can reverse or hide wear if you ever want to sell it or just keep it looking nice. You can polish it, bead blast it, re stone wash it, etc.. And it's like new again. At some point I have removed evert black coating from most of mine.

    Good video in all. It would had been great if you had opened all the knifes side by side in order to better compare the different sizes.

  • @BibleTeacher4U
    @BibleTeacher4U 9 років тому

    Just a note: the Esee Zancudo does NOT!! have ambidextrous thumb studs, I'm surprised you being a left hander did not point that out. I bought the Esee Avispa and it really sucks for lefties, there isn't enough thumb stud on the left side to open the blade.
    Also my only complaints with the Tenacious are with the handle shape and design. The finger choil sucks for lefties, I wish they would have milled it and the liner down just a little on the liner side. As it is the G-10 and the liner digs into my finger. Also, the handle shape seems awkward in my hand, too wide toward the blade and too narrow on the butt.

    All of these have right-handed frame or liner locks. Sure, a lefty can use them, but they aren't left-handed knives, or even fully ambidextrous. CRKT makes a lefty (www.crkt.com/M21-02GL), as does DPX - with the liner and frame locks reversed for us southpaws. I was hoping this video would show others like that :-(
