I just upgraded to the fold 5, just waiting for it to arrive and I am very excited. For me, I've always watched closely with how they were developing and as soon as I saw this one closed flat, I knew I'd be happy to give it a go. So I'm upgrading from the Note 20 and the fold 5 was actually on sale for me, ended up being cheaper than a fold 4 😅
Only in Murica , Unlimited means actually 40gb then lower speed and 480p. You guys are getting farmed over there like the Matrix. Everywhere else in the world mostly , for example Europe, i pay 5$ for real, i mean real unlimited internet, unlimited (in my country ) calls+video and 250 minutes in roaming. Also the speed is 5G and 4G where 5G isn't covered, like rural areas.
Getting "farmed"? Cell phone plans in the US are more affordable than most other countries, why do you think people don't have the need to use What's App here? We don't get charged per message, unlike some parts of Europe, on top of the fact that most Europeans countries don't even have true 5G. You may need to sit down here.
@@ajwilson313I’m looking into upgrading at the moment, and I’m financing the phone separately to the contract. Getting a Vodafone SIM only contract. Truly unlimited 5G data with no speed throttling, unlimited texts and unlimited calls. £16.50 a month.
Please, I want your help. I have an S22 ultra phone. When I open the camera application, the primary camera and the 10x camera make a sound. When I looked a little closer at the camera, I saw that when the camera is off, the lens is lower, and when I turn on the camera, the camera rises higher and makes a sound. Is this normal?
I've had my ZF5 for two months as well, but I truly miss the side key gestures like swiping up and down. Hopefully they have a update to bring back the side key gestures.
I want to thank you for this review... I never thought of the connectivity between samsung devices... that is a good selling point. I just which they weren't so expensive.
@@TacoTechTalk I wouldn’t get the open plus open it’s not that much different the fold 5 pretty much same spec the fold 5 is just slightly better with specs Wait for fold 6 that will be a good upgrade from the fold 5
I bought the Oneplus 12 over the Fold 5 because I can't any UA-camr talk about how much it will cost to replace the inside screen. I don't have $300 lying around for insurance either. Don't want to buy the Fold 5 and later have to pay over $300 just to fix the inside screen. My first Android phone is the Oneplus 12. I'm a iphone fan boy since the iphone 3.
Very fair point. For some switching to android I wouldn't recommend a foldable anyways, to much change in both the hardware and software experience. But Welcome to Android. Oneplus 12 is a very good phone to welcome you to the green side!
Samsungs and even other manufacturers Foldables are notorious for having this issue, currently mine does open up at 180° but I wouldn't be surprised if overtime it starts to require me to give it a nudge to open fully up
I'm just being hard and honest. Its always a love hate relationship with Folds. I love them for the different experience and multitasking capabilities. But then for my normal usage which for me is watching UA-cam, texting, or scrolling socials, I miss a regular slab sized phone.
Not fully. Im back to using android, was on the pixel 8 pro currently on the s23 ultra. Watch is a galaxy watch to go with the s23 ultra. I use windows for work and a MacBook for UA-cam. I use galaxy tablets and for earbuds it's a mix between Sony Wf-1000xm4s, galaxy buds, or my air pods depending on what I'm doing. So it's a mix. lol
Opens up pretty much fully is a worrying statement.😂 if I spend that much on a Folding phone then I'd expect it to open fully especially after only a couple of months!😂
I meant it more that you don't have to force it to open fully flat, from past experience with previous folds and seeing other reviews, there's a chance that overtime and sometimes rather quickly the hinge does not fully open flat on its own and you have to not force it but give it an extra push. But I totally get your point, yes with how much they cost you expect to not have this issue
@@TacoTechTalk agh I see how it was meant now, thank you for clarifying. 👍 Durability and longevity are the only things holding me back from just going for it. Great video as always, keep it up! 👍😎
I'd love to try the OnePlus Open but the more reviews I watch the more my excitement dies down. It's the software for me, yes the hardware looks amazing and one may argue potentially better than the Z Fold 5, but Samsung's one UI software specifically for foldable is unmatched imo
I love the Fold 5. I used it during my international travel and found I didn't need a separate tablet or laptop. Seriously made things lighter.

Awesome to hear! Excited for you mate!
just bought a used Z Fold 5 of Ebay and love it and saved a fortune.
Also, can the fokd and the flip be used in different countries?
How do you fix it when the inner screen refuses to come on? Especially after folding it.

I pay $40/ month for truly unlimited. Never throttled and I use over 300gigs of data a month.

@gazw9595help.
@gazw9595 we pay for breathing essentially.
I have the Fold5 and it's a Beast I love it❤
Absolutely a beast!

This is the best phone I have ever owned. It's a phone a tablet and a computer when connected to a monitor.🥰
When you have your Carbon Fiber case on it where do you put the Spen?
Brought mine in August last year and still the best
Loving my fold 5!
i just ordered the OnePlus Open. I've always had bad experience with Samsung phones.
Damn fair enough, here is hoping the OnePlus Open is a good experience for you!
I've had my ZF5 for two months as well, but I truly miss the side key gestures like swiping up and down. Hopefully they have a update to bring back the side key gestures.
I hope so too! It was annoying sometimes since it was triggered accidentally sometimes but still a very useful gesture
I want to thank you for this review... I never thought of the connectivity between samsung devices... that is a good selling point. I just which they weren't so expensive.
The rear camera is pretty good. Not too fond of that front camera but good thing you can take selfies with the main camera!
Excellent Video my Friend 👊🏼👍🏼
Thank you! I appreciate you!
Really digging this phone bro! I can’t wait to see your thoughts on how the OnePlus Open and the Fold 5 compare to each other.
Love to hear your loving the Z Fold 5!! And I would love to try out the OnePlus Open, but money is tight so may have to wait a while lol
@@TacoTechTalk I wouldn’t get the open plus open it’s not that much different the fold 5 pretty much same spec the fold 5 is just slightly better with specs

That's a good point, I was excited at first to see the OnePlus Open but I'm more than satisfied with the Fold 5

Going to buy that next week
Samsung has a lot to thank LG for with most of this software usability.
This phone is fire
Agreed!
@TacoTechTalk I'm coming from the duo and this is a nice upgrade
do your phone opens 180 degrees ? my feels like im opening it on 180 and then stays like 179-179,5 and i dont kno if this is a problem ??? PLS HELP
Samsungs and even other manufacturers Foldables are notorious for having this issue, currently mine does open up at 180° but I wouldn't be surprised if overtime it starts to require me to give it a nudge to open fully up
had to return the fold 5. Front screen is too narrow, and strains the eye
Damn, that’s understandable, hoping they make a version similarly sized to the Oneplus Open, I’d be more than inclined to get that version
6.2 front screen not 6.7
a dream, but it's still very expensive and I'm very afraid of breaking it 😅
Someday bro! But I feel you, I'm afraid one day I'll open it and the screen is gone
I've had ever fold since day one and never had a problem.
I love it but man it sounds like you hate the phone 😮 but hey it's an option piece 😅

Good informative video 👍. Chelsea sucks though. Manutd for life
lmao buzz off mate, nah jk, Chelsea will be back! lets see how you do in the derby
That noticeable crease in the center of the screen is a hard pass for me
Understandable, I've gotten used to it at this point but there's not denying that if you look for it and see it, it's there and can be annoying
"i beleive its the blue colour" - while clearly holding a blue phone 🤷🏻
Ik ik but I was referring to the official name, sometimes phone colors aren't as straightforward as you think 😅
nice
"Promosm"

I totally understand that! Definitely not a phone I would recommend for the long run. At least not yet. And thank you bro!
Move over, the OnePlus Open is currently the King of foldable.
it's not though

Its over hyped the one plus the Samsung still has better screens and performance its got the better binned chip
Software is not good on the one plus, and they are dealing with condensation issues within the camera lens lol major drawback
