Because they meant the personal music collection, just like a cloud storage for photos and videos, to free up space.
If you want to upload your own music publicly, you just need to upload your song as a regular video file to UA-cam.

Why would you remove the option to see both your uploaded music and the youtube music catalogue as a single library. This was one of the stand out features of Google Play Music!
Yeah what the hell I used to start radio from uploaded content as well, and it would work fine.
I was also indignant at blocking this option on UA-cam Music. All of my playlists have been degraded because of that!
@@Rafaellrg Not to mention when they make a playlist (autoplay) YOU CANNOT DELETE a crappy song if you even look at it. NEVER GOES AWAY and I HATE THIS, will prob NEVER use it again

I now fully support UA-cam Music
This Feature was major factor of why i loved Google Play Music, the ability to upload my music library from my computer to the app, without need to plug in my phone to my computer and Bascally have to stuff my phone of music files, so with UA-cam Music I was worried the feature wouldn't be avaliable but now that it is i support YTM.
But only Google Music let me play on my smart speakers for free,
UA-cam Music refuses playback of bought/uploaded titles on smart speakers, without active YTM subscribtion.
It's so rare that "how to" videos answer the question in the first 20 seconds! Thanks!

Music you have uploaded can only be played by you (in your account) and other UA-cam Music users will not have access to your uploads.

To do this from phone just open the web page of UA-cam music in Chrome and change to desktop site and you could find the option for uploading there😎

What to do when you used "free music" fom a 3 million subscribers channel and a few months latter that music its not free anymore and you start to receive srtikes?
I’m quite sure the tracks you upload using UA-cam music won’t get you strikes. Unless you’re asking a question unrelated to this video.
The only 100% free and safe music to use is from the UA-cam audio library. You can still monetise your videos without getting fear of a copyright strike. Never trust anywhere else that says their music is copyright free because it is you taking a risk by using it in your videos. There is a link to the UA-cam audio library in the description of all of my UA-cam gaming videos. I hope that this helps.

Thanks for that. For some unknown reason it wasn’t letting me upload by the upload link but dragging and pasting worked. I had to upload an album that I had deleted because I needed to edit the song titles.
