I'm a muslim, from my point of view, the true Hinduism are closely similar to Islam, without the practices of modern caste, the reason why hinduism are like this now, they don't practice hinduism at its true form, caste are the system where everyone needs to try, not like modern caste where nobody can go to other caste and if they are still in form of human, need to do good deed to come back to brahman, I don't understand why Indians today don't come to this conclusions and should be at peace actually and never let the 6 worldly test makes they failed.. i study hinduism very closely because what happens now in indian society and also india where dr zakir naik is banned and bjp(HINDUTVA) do all these problems...its sad to see now society becomes like this..always fights and everyone wanted to proof they are better or they are wrong... 😢

If hear the speech carefully, at the very beginning he is telling that hindus believes Pantheism (worship of multiple Earthy objects as gods) and then all he is quoting is from the Hindu Scriptures. Which he is doing to let all know that the practicing Pantheism is wrong as per the Hindu scripture itself. Another important things is he is trying to find the similarities between Hinduism and Islam so that we cant forget about our differences and come to the common terms in order to increase unity between us. And to find unity between groups is itself a great work no matter whoever is doing.

What I was trying to tell is that Dr. Zakir Naik is trying to emphasize about the similarities that Quran and Hindu Scriptures and he is telling about them there. The main concern is in practise, the hindus completely(almost every one of them) follow Pantheism, but in hindu scriptures, there are a lot of places where where Monotheism is being told. And, it is quite similar with the concept of god in Islam. To find similarities means to find unity in between. This was his cause. And mine too. To know more deeply you have to read about Islam, it is quite interesting and liberating. Its hard to make you understand through this written text. It would have been better if we could have a friendly conversation with each other in person. I always believed that through better understanding about each other, we can reduce misconceptions whether it is two individual or it is two communities. Peace. 🙂

Not all is equipped with qualities and capacity to read and understand Vedas. You know Vedas consist of prayers and praises of deities or not ? Along with charms and magical remedies ? Ayurveda and such things ? There is hardly any practicality or route for life people can get when they read Vedas. It would take years to actually understand vedas and then they might know what to do and what not. The principle of vedas ? Not all can do that for sure. Hence there are other methods for different people of different nature's. For such purposes different books like puranas and ithihasa are there. They give different guidance for different people and through such tales and short books the values Live in society.

Hindus believe in many Gods who perform various functions; just like Angel's in Christianity and Islam. The worship of idols helps with a point of focus for a particular desire through prayer. It does not mean they believe that the Idol is god or has any powers intrinsically. Unfortunately when Islam and Christianity invaded India they used idol worship as a excuse to convert people. Have you heard Hindus, Buddhist, Jains, Jews or Parsi converting people and speaking ill of other religions.

It doesn't mean we take objection to people trying to manifest that divine in their own humble ways ( even if it might be ignorance ) - we want everyone to EXPERIENCE in their own ways and evolve with this experience. Ajmal Ishaq God doesn’t speak in the ignorant and arrogant language of humans. In Hinduism, it is called Nirgun ( without any goon or characteristics ) Brahman ( existence/consmos) .. Nirgun doesn’t have ego issues. It doesn’t care about humans and their petty problems like make image or not. It is a state of pure sweet bliss which all humans have to reach. That is the god in Hinduism. Everything else including our devas are subsets of this with limited finite characteristics.

Supreme God in Hinduism is Brahman. Not Brahma. Brahma is a role given by Brahman (the supreme reality). According to Bhagavad Gita Krishna is God the supreme reality.

Which he is doing to let all know that the practicing Pantheism is wrong as per the Hindu scripture itself.

What I was trying to tell is that Dr. Zakir Naik is trying to emphasize about the similarities that Quran and Hindu Scriptures and he is telling about them there. The main concern is in practise, the hindus completely(almost every one of them) follow Pantheism, but in hindu scriptures, there are a lot of places where where Monotheism is being told. And, it is quite similar with the concept of god in Islam.
To find similarities means to find unity in between. This was his cause. And mine too.
To know more deeply you have to read about Islam, it is quite interesting and liberating. Its hard to make you understand through this written text. It would have been better if we could have a friendly conversation with each other in person.
I always believed that through better understanding about each other, we can reduce misconceptions whether it is two individual or it is two communities. Peace. 🙂

Bcoz you can get the whole philosophy of Vedant in Bhagvadgeeta n you have to read only 700 verses.
Not all is equipped with qualities and capacity to read and understand Vedas. You know Vedas consist of prayers and praises of deities or not ? Along with charms and magical remedies ? Ayurveda and such things ? There is hardly any practicality or route for life people can get when they read Vedas. It would take years to actually understand vedas and then they might know what to do and what not.
The principle of vedas ? Not all can do that for sure. Hence there are other methods for different people of different nature's.
For such purposes different books like puranas and ithihasa are there. They give different guidance for different people and through such tales and short books the values Live in society.

The whole verse actually says “there is no counterpart of Him (i.e. Hiranya-garbha) whose glory is verily great.”
The section quoted is discussing the nature of the Ultimate Reality and begins by saying that “THAT Ultimate Reality is Fire, the Sun, Wind and the Moon.” It is an affirmation of pantheism and not monotheism. The keyword here pratimā which Dr. Naik takes to mean “image” in the context actually means “similarity” or “equivalent” and is referring to the glory of Brahman/Hiranyagarbha. Pratimā in a different context can also be an iconic representation. (Sanskrit Dictionary for Spoken Sanskrit)

The whole sections read:-
He has filled all, He is radiant, bodiless, invulnerable, devoid of sinews, pure, untouched by evil. He, the seer, thinker, all-pervading, self-existent has duly allotted different functions to the various and eternal Prajā-patis or creator gods.
Again it is referring to the all-pervading and pantheistic nature of the Supreme Being who has empowered the various creator gods (including Allah).
3. “na saṁdṛśe tiṣṭhati rūpam asya, na cakṣuṣā paśyati kas canainam”
His form is not to be seen no one sees him with the eyes. (Svetasvatra upanishad. 4:20 )
The whole two verses read as follows:-
“His form is not to be see; no one sees him with the eye. Those who through heart and mind know Him as abiding in the heart become immortal. ‘You are unborn’ with this thought someone in fear approaches you. O Rudra, may your face which is gracious protect me.”
So it is a prayer addressed to Rudra/Shiva

He didn't understand even one of those shlokas. "Of him there are no images" - means that with limited human capacity we can't conceive or realise the divine. It doesn't mean we take objection to people trying to manifest that divine in their own humble ways ( even if it might be ignorance ) - we want everyone to EXPERIENCE in their own ways and evolve with this experience. That's is why we are fine with all manifestations of the sargun brahman - we understand it as a fundamental human need to find uniqueness unlike the Muslims. Big difference!

This is taken out of context. He conveniently didn't quote the next 2 verses because it's talking about pantheism & how the universe is one with god and the different parts of the universe are god. It's not referring to Allah or monotheism, it's a philosophy called Advaita. The whole paragraph -
"And it thought to itself: 'Let me become many. Let me propagate myself.' It emitted heat. The heat thought to itself: 'Let me become many. Let me propagate myself.' It emitted water. Whenever it is hot, therefore, a man surely perspires; and thus it is from heat that water is produced. The water thought to itself: 'Let me become many. Let me propagate myself.' It emitted food. Whenever it rains, therefore, food becomes abundant; and thus it is from water that foodstuffs are produced." - Chandogya Upanishad 6.2.3
*2. "There is no one in the world who is his master" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 6.9*
This is again out of context. This verse is referring to the innermost self (atman) as the ultimate god which 'has no master', not Allah's god/monotheism. 2 verses before -
"The Lord of prosperity, as abiding within ourselves (atman), as the Immortal residing in all beings" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 6.6
"The one God hidden in all beings, pervading the universe, the inner self of all beings, the overseer of the work..." - Svetashvatara Upanishad 6.11
So is Allah the innermost self of all beings..?
*3. "God has no likeliness" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 4.19*
This is out of context. The line is again talking about the innermost self (Atman) as being god, not Allah's god/monotheism, this completely changes the meaning. Just 2 verses it what 'god' is-
"As the Benign One hidden in all beings" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 4.16

Krishna is saying that one who prays to demi-gods or see's god as separate entities distinct from the inner self are stolen by material desires, so they should pray to the true self/soul which is Krishna himself. This is called Advaita philosophy. Here is the context -
"I am in everyone’s heart as the Supersoul. As soon as one desires to worship some demigod, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to that particular deity. Endowed with such a faith, he endeavors to worship a particular demigod and obtains his desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone." - Gita 7.21 - 7.22
Plus Krishna says you can worship to him any way & there's no restriction on method -
"In whatsoever way men approach Me, even so do I reward them; for it is My path, O Partha, that men follow in all things." - Gita 4.11
"I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to him." - Gita 9.29

The god of form is Saguna, and beyond form/no-form is Nirguna Brahman (the ultimate) which is what this verse is referring too. I can keep going on, but all his points so far are wrong.

This is taken out of context. He conveniently didn't quote the next 2 verses because it's talking about pantheism & how the universe is one with god and the different parts of the universe are god. It's not referring to Allah or monotheism, it's a philosophy called Advaita. The whole paragraph -
"And it thought to itself: 'Let me become many. Let me propagate myself.' It emitted heat. The heat thought to itself: 'Let me become many. Let me propagate myself.' It emitted water. Whenever it is hot, therefore, a man surely perspires; and thus it is from heat that water is produced. The water thought to itself: 'Let me become many. Let me propagate myself.' It emitted food. Whenever it rains, therefore, food becomes abundant; and thus it is from water that foodstuffs are produced." - Chandogya Upanishad 6.2.3
*2. "There is no one in the world who is his master" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 6.9*
This is again out of context. This verse is referring to the innermost self (atman) as the ultimate god which 'has no master', not Allah's god/monotheism. 2 verses before -
"The Lord of prosperity, as abiding within ourselves (atman), as the Immortal residing in all beings" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 6.6
"The one God hidden in all beings, pervading the universe, the inner self of all beings, the overseer of the work..." - Svetashvatara Upanishad 6.11
So is Allah the innermost self of all beings..?
*3. "God has no likeliness" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 4.19*
This is out of context. The line is again talking about the innermost self (Atman) as being god, not Allah's god/monotheism, this completely changes the meaning. Just 2 verses it what 'god' is-
"As the Benign One hidden in all beings" - Svetashvatara Upanishad 4.16
