in my 3 months with the s23 i never made such horrible night pictures like that. the lens flare on this device is not by design and you should send your device to the customer service. btw, the best video mode is 1080p60 bec the OIS is most stable and the zoom goes up to (in daylight)very sharp 12x vs 10x@4k60. there is a big difference in zoom quality between 1080p and 4k. i was watching literally every s23 and s23+ review in the last months before buying and i never saw such worse night footage. there are differences between some devices but not that much!
I got a little worried about my S23 after seeing that night footage. After checking my footage from last night, I didn't notice any single flaring on lights at all. Maybe he has a defective camera or a buggy software from 4 months ago
@@codetrain020 when the s23 came out ppl noticed some blur when scanning text documents. the center of the picture was sharp but there was some kind of blurry ring at the corners of the scanned document. that was also inflicting some blur on night shots like you can see in this video. some devices was affected, some partly and others don't. my s23 has it too but just slightly and Samsung did a pretty good job with patching and since the upgrade to Android 14 it's nearly gone. the device in this video is the worst case i've seen so far.
i wish someone told me about this problem before i bought the s23. ppl still saying it's an hardware problem, that the lens which is used to make pictures of text documents, is poorly produced and inadequate. Samsung never addressed the "problem". probably it was too big to handle for them bec 2/3rd of all devices are more or less affected. in my case, i can live with it. every friday i'm photographing or scanning my sales slips from the particular week to upload them in this google app and everything is ok on those pictures. on normal pictures it's not noticeable on my s23. the new s24 lineup has problems with the display and can't produce the full spectrum of colors. i think the production in the relatively new facilities in Vietnam is the problem. from the beginning there was many Galaxy A Class devices from production in Vietnam which had displays with showing vertical lines and stripes after 2 to 3 months of using the phone. phone's from Chinese production never had that high amount of issues.
Samsung flagship devices really struggle with night photos/videos when there's a source of light in the frame.. the performance in such conditions is absolutely terrible. The truth is .. iPhone will always always have a better overall camera than Samsung flagships..
Hi, thanks for the great and interesting videos, I would like you to install and test the lmc8.4 R15 camera, I am using the leica xml file for poco x3 pro and I like it...
I have never seen photos as bad as that at night with the s23,or any other samsung phones, including the a series. I'm using the galaxy s20 and the night shots from this phone don't have any flare in almost every night photo. Perhaps the lens needed to be cleaned or something.
S21 is a still good device but as I said things changed. It has probably some software updates since I had it last time. Sadly the battery is a big disappointment 😥
@@DariuszTech In some scenarios samsung i think will be better, but in pixel 7 pro i think cam give more naturally colours.I already look many vids with camera comparison between this phones but now i waiting it from you) I want buy gift for my birthday, but its a hard thing choose beetwen pixel and samsung. Now in Ukraine pixel 7 pro price 720USD , Samsung S23+ can buy from 750 for US version.
The 10x on the base S23 actually looks pretty decent even though the Ultra has a better 10x lens. Great video once again!
Night shots on this phone have also improved since February. They used to look a bit soft, and they seem to have improved it a bit.
Absolutely

Bought one 5 months ago, same problem, but my phone is stolen now.
luck by accident, i'm not buying it again!
Nice to see your wife joining the fun! 😊
Oh yeah!
This phone is on sale in 2024. It's my chance. I can show you my review also soon for music and covers. You did so Amazing by the way Brother. ❤🎉😮
Greetings from Brazil, very good video!
I was going to buy an iPhone 14 but I ended up with the S23, the best choice I made.
Glad you like it 😊
I just got one thanks for the great video well laid out, did you sort out the lens-switching?
if you lower the video resolution to fullHD you're able to switch lenses whilst shooting

Nice vlog camera test as always 😊❤😂
Glad you liked it!!
I mean night photography and video is not the best on this device but compared to my friend's, yours look almost unusable. Perhaps a bad unit?
Great review nonetheless 👍
This video was really helpful! Thank you!
I'm glad you found it useful 😀☺️

I don't know but I definitely cleaned the lenses. I wasn't very impressed

Wow! That is the camera!
Ive got an s21 ultra and just ordered a s23....feel like ive made a mistake? Any advice on this as the camera is something i use mostly
S21 Fe is of the best Samsung phones ever in my opinion. You are not going to feel much different. I would pick Pixel 7 pro or wait for the s24 series
Nice review as always... Please do a comparison btw 7 pro vs S23..
Will do soon
This is what I want to see, thank you sir...😆👍
More to come!
Pity about sammys flagships so expensive these days, I hope Pixel 8 will get better than previous version
Pixel 7 was brilliant but hopefully they'll improve on the battery with the Pixel 8
@DariuszTech how was your experience OneUI vs pixel android?
So I guess the Samsung Flipz is the best option for photography
Suggest me
Which one I buy 2nd hand s20 ultra or s23 ?
Is s23 camera is better then s20 ultra ?
I have recently tested S20 ultra and it was nice but S23 is way better in terms of autofocus and colours
I have recently tested S20 ultra and it was nice but S23 is way better in terms of autofocus and colours
no the s25 has the fastest autofocus now faster then the speed of flash
It's nice the Samsung s23. Nice.
Good down to earth review night video let's it down
What do think about s21 , i think s21 is better in camera
It's been 2 years since I had s21 last time
@@DariuszTech I asked you, what do think about that...
I don't want big comparison

please do compare with ip 13 or higher
Video quality is insane!!!
Thanks for sharing this 😄
Bro where is the a54 vs s22 camara test? And next time upload 4K60. 24fps & 30fps not good
I'm doing s23 vs a54 comparison at the moment
yup, 30 fps is stuttering too much.
One of the best macro shots on phone camera
Agree 💯
😮😮😮let watch
looks incredible!
It's pretty good 😊
Its really struggling with stabilization
Quite affordable
Absolutely 😁
Does the Samsung galaxy s23 have 8k?
Yes
Amazing video ❤
Thanks
is this s23 or s23 ultra?
Please tell the answer.
It's the regular s23 as the title says
Night photography are not flahship level. Pixel 6 pro is better for this price, or Pixel 7
I agree. I was disappointed ☹️
Nice zoom. I ❤ IKEA 😊
Us too!
Beautiful wife❤❤
Yes she is 😍
You have a beautifull wife.
I know 😊
You should clean the cameras
Always clean before making the video
Looks fine to me
pixel 7 pro better for the same money
In my opinion yes but I will be doing camera comparison soon 😄
