Hi! I rarely comment restoration videos, but this is one of the kind! I really enjoyed watching the process, and especially the sandblasting part! The concept of this lamp-stove is fascinating, such a rare and unique piece (I've found it's early XX century!) Warm greetings from Finland :) Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Watching your video from the Netherlands 🇳🇱. Very nice restauration. I have a similair stove/heater from HALLER in green enamel and brass. Still needs some cleaning, so this video is a welcome guide. Thanks for sharing 🤠.
Hello from Farmington New Mexico USA. Wow sir great job. I really need to get one of these stoves before winter gets here because I live in my old bus and I don't have any heat
@@richardrestorationsI've seen that video, but i can't afford it, it's like 300 dollars us and I am disabled and unable to work anymore so I live on a very fixed income
Eine sehr gute Arbeit! Ich komme aus Deutschland und habe Deinen Kanal schon längere Zeit abonniert, da ich fasziniert bin, wie Du diese alten Dinge zu neuem Leben erweckst. Sehr schön.
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it! I also left a link for mica if you didn't know where to get it. I use to know a guy that collected it but have lost touch over the years Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thanks Oneshot getting stuff shipped to new zealand is really expensive and 3 to 6 weeks for delivery so I had to clean and use the mica that was there .ps I ordered a lathe in January it might get here in October on backorder, Cheers Richard
@@richardrestorations Wow that long to get your lathe sucks and sorry to hear it takes so long. I can understand cleaning it for sure! And you're welcome and looking forward to your next project!!
I live in Nova Scotia, E. Canada Amherst to be exact. I wanted to ask about the wick. `I never say one so wide. Can you buy a replacement for that today? Nice job and have a good Weekend.🙃
I am glad to have stumbled upon your video as i am in the midst of restoring a sad iron stove. May i ask what is the gold colour pen you use to colour the wordings and if it is resistant to high temperature?
Do you even care about the pittings? This is not restoration, this is just derust and repaint, just like any other common restoration videos out there.
Hi thanks for your comment this has not been repainted it has been powdered coated you can not bog metal and powder coat as for the as the final finish I like the casting texture that's my preference to retain the character of the lamp have you viewed any of my other videos or just this one Cheers Richard

Sorry, but I think your projects should be characterized as refurbishing instead of restoring. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
I'm grateful for your comment and taking the time to share your thoughts. It's always valuable to hear different perspectives.
