I have a 356ce 12-string and it’s a truly fantastic guitar. The sound and playability are just superb!
The Jumbo size was a surprise and the 12 as always sounded great. That Grand Pacific continues to impress. Great video.
Great video!
114ce actually hard to beat for the price and sound
Good quick education on Taylor's numbering system. Never been a fan of Taylor shapes...until I saw the builder's edition. That Gibson-esque slope-shoulder just appeals to my eye (and ear)!
The Builders Editions are not worth it. I tried one and sent it back.
i like the 114ce sound good
I liked the 517.
Why are they always in such a rush on this channel
Great exposé on ALL those sweet Taylors. But to my tin ears, those X18 series really don't blow you away like the extra body size suggests. The X14s & X16s are all better than adequate - not to mention plugged-in, where the sound coloring is infinite. Good job guys.
Not true at all, I picked up the Taylor 818 and 618 at a Shop and compared it to the Gibson J200 and my man, the Taylor Growls with deeeep bass that will blow you away!! All the Guitars in the room just sang together when strumming an E-Chord! I was Impressed! Never heard Bass on an acoustic Guitar like that, especially with the 818.
they all have that taylor sound except the builders edition...the koa was my fave
Played it...bought it lol
Outstanding video! Very helpful. Sitting here looking at my lottery tickets. I'll have a 900 series builder's edition and a 12 string, please.
Fair winds and following seas to all.
717e is the best sounding guitar Taylor makes. It’s all inclusive.
It would be quite nice of you if you one day could make a video about nylon string guitars as well, cause im a nylon string player.
Please give the review of eastman e40d guitar
I wanna hear that blue guitar!
he plays it at 10:25.
Are they both wearing PRS Guitar lanyards?
What song does he finger pick on the 414ce?
I found this an informative demonstration. We need to hear the guitars actually being played instead of listening to talk like in so many other videos. You could have spent 20 or 30 minutes on this instead of 10.
well, liked the sound of 114ce.
But if I would go to something after "114ce'er", then my next and only ONE pick would be 816ce DLX.
all the others are too boomy and "overwarm".
Sadly that here is no 214ce :( chosing between 114ce/214ce right now
Rush not Yes...I see what you did there. Best sounding in my opinion were the 12 string and the 717e.
ฉันชอบ 618 มากที่สุด
ฉันรักคุณ
Taylor's numbering is soooo EZ to grasp... their mid-range 3, 4 and 5 series are killer.
They were all pretty decent but I liked the D18.
I have never cared for the D18 least of my interest
Martin is not my favorite guitars
@@markstaggs7342 oh ok
Martins, all day.
@@mylerism Is it me, or do all the guitars sound similar?
6XX Taylors are by far the best sounding of any of the big guitar makers I have played and are equal to most of the more expensive small shops. It is incredible what they pulled off with that specific guitar and it’s consistency.
Not a single 12 size demo'd. The 312ce beats most of those demo'd hand down aside from volume. All the 12' are more comfortable to play if you have only modest arm lengths. I have a Gibson Sonwriter Deluxe Standard which is less comfortable to play and maybe equivalent in size to the 14 series, but which tonally beats any of these Taylors easily.
I like the price point and sound on the 114, but for that money, I'd go to Eastman and get all solid wood and a fuller tonal palette, IMHO. It's all subjective, but I really like the Eastman Dread 1D you guys reviewed not too long ago, for my price/value winner.
martin kleinman - the Taylor neck is so comfortable though, that I would go Taylor.
@@oaktree1628 exactly this, Im saving up for a 114e right now, the fretboards on Taylors are second to none
I have owned several Taylor 114ce and loved every one...for the money very hard to beat
517 sounded like a Martin
Why do you always want to rush the videos?
No Florentine cut Taylor guitars!!
As much as I love Taylor, they are pretty pricey.
I'm not a Taylor fan. Breedlove makes a much better instrument. Attention to detail, sound optimization for each guitar in their Made in USA lines. Just better luthiers.
No fillings in your stroming.
You are stroming toooooooooo hard. And it not make the instrument resonates good.
Well, whether Seal's stroming or strumming too hard, they all still sounds great. Seal is just a power player. I'm sure a lot of those watching this excellent vid may be power players as well.
Otherwise, all sound GREAT, from the low-end up thru' the GA. Possibly investing in some better desktop speakers might alleviate issues with over "resonation?"
;-)
@@DJWRailroad power player? Dinámic dont have to be disturbimg. Make the instrument sings!
