Corrections:
4:43 The Eco3x Physical TiB should be 508, and the Pro4x Physical TiB should be 420. In the video, these values are incorrectly entered and should be switched. The rest of the values and end calculations are still correct.
I'm happily plunge in the juicy rabbit hole. Thx man!
Great intro video! I can't wait to get on board with your 4x compressed plots!
This is great alternative and competition to NoSSD. Time to upgrade my Chia Farm.
Jaw dropping
Why necessary if Chia is looking to revamp format with little compression?
And what about TCO & ROI comparing to GH 3.0 c33?
Still biggest question what will be when filter will come toplay
Hello, thanks for your awesome work!
Does it matter if the 3090 has limited hashrate (LHR)?
Thank you and best regards
Can OG plots be used at the same time on another harvester while running a solver with compressed plots all connecting to the same farmer node?
Is ECC ram needed for plotting?
Hello, thank you very much for developing Chia, I wanted to ask if support for simpler video cards, such as 3070, is expected. Or only 4090, 3090, 24 gb
Thank you! Eventually for plotting I will support lower GPU cards. Right now, for the solving part, it will still be 24GB. I have some plans to make it work for lower cards, but that would be after the 1.0.0 release so still quite some time.
@@DrPlotter-qc8tk Is plotting being performed solely on the 24GB VRAM? Zero HDD/SSD usage?
I read that the minimum requirements for DrPlotter are pcie 4.0. If I use a pcie 3.0 slot would I just have a slowdown or what? Thanks!
It would slow down to 10 minutes per plot. There are some optimizations I can do with PCIE 3.0 that can speed it up a little bit, but it will be more than 7 minutes.
Is the 4060 worth it?
If you take a small percentage of proofs directed to your farmer, wouldn’t that mean it’s possible you would get nothing or the entire farmer/pool reward if we solo farm?
You can solo farm just fine, all the plot proofs that belong to you get returned to you, you can farm them however you like. I don't take the pool reward.
Hey Doc... let's get together for a talk ;)
Please windows
If you're going to have a dedicated system for this, may as well get on the Linux train. Linux Mint > Windows.
The only other system support that this market really needs to fill is the Apple M1 market. I have a Studio Ultra with 128gb of RAM that is begging to be used for something like this.
You can always install Linux and plot with other solutions
