About Martin's correspondence from the Bruce Lee Society and the BBFC. I've still got my Mum's letters from the Society and as for the BBFC letters my Mum didn't try that but she did write to the BBC and Granada back in the late 70's asking them to show Bruce Lee's movies and I've still got the rejection letters.
I kind of did the same thing with Sky about 8 years ago. I left them and they phoned me up wanting to know why and I told them "you're not showing movies I like", and the lady said "may I ask what movies are you in to?" and I told her "Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Some classic Hong Kong movies". She said "oh, we'll see what we can do". Now they're showing all of Bruce's movies and other Hong Kong classics. took them 8 years but at least they managed to get there.

Hello Stripey hope you are well just a suggestion regarding Bruce Lee A.I technology..maybe test out Bruce Lee A.I facial images over his own characters in No Retreat No Surrender where he plays as Jasons Teacher .also in the standard version of Game of Death A.I his facial image over the other look alike actors who played him as the Billy Lo character in the film...a lot of people may not like it..or maybe it could look a lot better than how the standard international version looks now..
Maybe try something with his image with the outside Game of Death footage in the new territories..so many options out there if it ever happens...keep up the good work i really enjoy your channel..i always look forward to it..its great 👍 all the best 👍

Technology marches on regardless, if Shannon Lee approves of it's use on her father, that's her choice whether we like it or not unfortunately.
Regarding the fight Bruce had on the set of ETD, they do look like sparring photos, though Bob Wall had a lot to say about that, but let's not open that can of worms!

Hi Stripey ! I was looking at some Bruce Lee videos on UA-cam and the subject of the kitten in the Colliseum scene in Way Of The Dragon came up. Someone said the kitten was owned by Bruce, but I think that's wrong. Do you have any info about this ?

Stripey I completely forgot to ask you, have you seen Steve Kerridge's recreation of the Saw in the Head scene from the Big Boss?
I know you don't use Facebook anymore, but it's worth checking out as Steve had me duped it was so convincing that I thought Steve had found the footage!
In regards to the A.I debate I am a bit conflicted, I've always thought it could help restore/touch up some of the footage as you mentioned.
But I've always hoped it could be used to give a more accurate version of G.O.D concept that John Little used for the Warrior's Journey, WJ's is one of my fave documentaries but using stand ins for Bruce always disappointed me (especially as they bare no resemblance to the man himself). I've always hoped John could revisit the Warrior's Journey and upgrade it to Blu Ray/4k but the technology is now there to complete the missing pieces of the puzzle!
Also I think having an A.I Bruce rather than an actor dubbing Bruce would be more be accurate, as its been very hit & miss in the past.

Hey Stripey, I love your videos! Stop calling Bruce's character in Fist of Fury "Chen Zhen". That was Jet Li's portrayal in Fist of Legend. In Fist of Fury Bruce was Chen Jeh. It's in the end credits & you can hear them calling out his name at the end when they're searching for him in the cemetery. Check out the end credits for your own confirmation.

AI used by one inch advert was a total embarrassment. It looked fake, is fake and simply done as a cash grab. They faked his voice, made him say shit he wouldn’t say. The advert acts as if it shares the virtues of Bruce, it’s mental just cold cynical commercialism. I said as much on the comments when I saw this rubbish posted on X. Good stuff Stripey.
I'm well stuck on the 70s... but! I'll take tasteful and acknowledged Bruce images and video every day of the week please. It's definitely got a place for enhancing what's already out there (and a bit if what isn't). No more entire new Bruce films thanks, but AI can step up and make what we've got better.
I'm tottally up for enhancement, restoration & coloring, as for new content, adverts, intros & trailers would be welcomed, new content, I'm on the fence, mate 👍
Shannon being in with AI technology has to be $$$ let's be fair. Incidentally, Peter Jackson colorized the footage of soldiers in WW1 for his 'They Shall Not Grow Old' documentary, which was very well done. Although, as some have mentioned, it'd be nice to see the old black and white Bruce footage colorized - if only Peter Jackson was a big BL fan! We have to be careful with AI cleanups too, as James Cameron cleaned up some of this older movies (Aliens for instance) using AI for the 4K releases, and it had trouble interpreting people's faces in the background, causing some hilarity (per Nerrel's UA-cam channel about Aliens/True Lies 4k).
Peter Jackson may be a Bruce fan (I don't know) "They Shall Not Grow Old" was a fantastic doc.
I have heard about James Cameron's 4Ks over the top grain removal & the weird faces in the distance 👍
There's no film on that famous challenge from that extra with Bruce Lee, the pictures everyone has seen on nearly every book etc is Bruce practicing with a extra nothing more.

I’ve been a bruce lee purist since age 8, know everything about him and everything in regards to bruce…and from what I’ve learned of bruce, he would’ve definitely been a fan of ai if done tastefully. Bruce was a passionate innovator and progressionist and was actually in talks with Hannah Barbara for a proposed animated series as part of his Warner Brothers package deal on the morning of 7/20/1973. I mean we have video games already. How could a real bruce fan be satisfied with bruce only having 4 1/2 completed films??? I say let the Ai tech reign!!!! Much love Stripey🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾

Congratulations on your grand child dude. I've been listening to a bit of Michael Jackson recently I just remembered a while ago on Google there's a picture of himself and Bruce Lee together. Was their meeting true or is a Photoshop picture? On Google it said they had a brief meeting in 1970 where they exchanged their philosophy of dance, music and martial arts together. Apparently It also said that Michael Jackson was a black belt in karate. Apparently the Jackson 5 brothers and Michael trained Shaolin Kung-fu under the instruction of Grandmaster Kam Yuen. Do any of you guys think it's true. 🤔

Instead they create Stripey from some programmed dude who is a docks worker in SoHo. Look At that hat! Do any of us think Stripey would ever wear a hat like that? The guy we see in those clips is kicking shanghaied ass in a waterfront dive bar right now!
