@@AbitofEverything4U Hey do you think they'll adapt Galactus origins of he being from the previous universe though here he could have been present and had a part in the past multiverse war and through some comic book logic because this incredibly powerful cosmic entity.
I'm excited about this one for many reasons, but one of them is the aesthetic. It looks much different than what we've seen for a while! A Jetsons-style futuristic 1960s New York looks great. The Thing looks incredible and I'm sure they're saving Reed's stretch powers for the next trailer.
I don't think some things looking futuristic and having some things that don't is a detail you should get hung up on. It just comes with the territory of the retro futurism that the movie is going for. I love it!
The landscape/time period is based on retro futurism. So it’s set in the 60’s, but a version of the 60’s in which Reed Richard’s brilliant mind was able to invent things such as flying cars and great rockets and such. That’s why in the initial cast announcement post from last Valentines, they had Ben reading a Life Magazine with Lindon B. Johnson from 63.
so the movie is taking place october 1963? or since that announcement was a year ago and we see a halloween setting scenes, could it also be set during october of 64?
@cdhans5992 Yeah, that makes sense. But I still was shocked to see a land line again. Gave me flashbacks to my childhood! @omarslayz Yeah, looking like October, 1963.
Curious if Nathaniel Richards’ inspiration for the TVA’s aesthetics came from this universe’s futuristic design. The housing/clothing styles are eerily similar.
14:04 When it comes to the outfits, the most interesting detail to me is that the Thing is actually wearing the whole suit instead of just the pants and boots like he is usually depicted.
To expand on the idea of him doing multiverse physics on the chalkboard, the hourglass looking figure below the wormhole picture is what's known as a Penrose Diagram. It's used to describe the infinite futures and pasts of light within a nonrotating black hole. The interesting thing about the Penrose Diagram is that it implies the existence of alternative universes and "white holes" by extending it into the negative direction (like negative numbers). The right diamond represents our universe and the left diamond represents a parallel universe to our own. To get from our universe to this parallel universe, we would have to be moving faster than light to escape the black hole and come out on the other side, through the white hole.
I was a fan of the 2000s Fantastic Four movies and more to the cartoon show Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes. I'm so happy to see them to the big screen again!
I loved how reed felt guilty over the four’s condition, and sue knew the right words to reassure them. I’m already sold on their chemistry. The thing looked amazing.
I hadn’t noticed in the prior leaked images of the classroom set and maybe it’s been pointed out before but I love how it’s “Fantastic Science with Mr. Fantastic”, perhaps as if he was “Mr. Fantastic” as a Bill Nye-esque character before their space flight.
Kang was probably an intern at the Baxter building who stole Dr. Doom’s time machine. He then created the multiverse/alternate timelines and TVA with the 60s aesthetic 😀
Part of me wants to see this timeline play out more. Like multiple movies of multiple characters from this universe. Spend some time in both universes until they finally crossover

Thank you for the breakdown! Watching the livestream this morning was such a cool experience. Love the Effort to market this movie! I’m so ready for July!
Absolutely loved the trailer, I think we're in for a real treat this summer!! It's surprising we didn't get any of Reed's stretching powers, but I hope we get a bit more footage at the superbowl this week!!

Also the shot with the big dust explosion on the horizon matches the shot where Johnny jumps off the balcony and flames on... they all see it happening on the horizon in the wide shot, but then Ben, Sue, and Reed rush inside while Johnny Yolos himself off the balcony to presumably go fight/stop it? I imagine the other 3 are also running to go help but obviously need a safer way down and out of the building than jumping from the suite balcony.
I think the way they're doing retro futurism in this movie, is having Reed's technology being much more advanced than the rest of the world. Therefore, in order use the phone with everyone else, they'd still need a landline
Yeah… Fantastic four has always been pretty mid for me… I mean, sometimes I did enjoy the stories in the comics, but for the most part, it was not one of my favorites. But the trailer definitely makes it look cool!
Good question. I'm not sure what Marvel expected, tbh. Looks like it's got 23M views, which isn't bad. I'm just hoping the movie is good. Would love to see a comic accurate adaption of the team.
The cloud shot looks like it takes place right before the shot of Johnny leaping on the balcony and flying away. I have a feeling he may chase the silver surfer into space which is where we get him going up and out of the atmosphere.
Looking back on the leaked D23 trailer that you reference-- it seems like Reed being a kid's science show host-- "Fantastic Science with Mr. Fantastic" was his old side job before they went into space (maybe it's how he gets the continued clout and funding for his ongoing research).... and so after they become super heroes, the public names them "The Fantastic Four" in reference to the tv show. I think the tv show stuff takes place BEFORE the powers and is how they get their name (and not the other way around), is because we see the wide chalkboard in this official trailer, but we only see it in a different room or lab... not the television studio set like in the leaked trailer... so i think Reed retired as the kids show host after getting too famous/busy but kept the chalkboard out of nostalgia and practicality. So during the tv show era days, Reed's multiverse hypothesis is still just a theory, but perhaps the first trip where they get powers is where he comes close to figuring something out but obviously screwed up (giving everyone powers) so he's torn between wanting to solve it correctly this time so they can do a second trip (so he's doing calculations on the chalkboard again with the dimension hopping diagram you noticed ) but he's also afraid that he might harm his family more if he screws everything up again (and so Sue is trying to console him). All that on top of wanting to cure Ben's condition and juggling being a scientific super hero and still being a public celebrity doing family interviews with journalists. But idk how the multiverse stuff ties into the Silver Surfer or Galactus or going into space or getting powers........ so perhaps the multiverse research is just stuff he's working on the side as easter eggs for the future and the main stuff he's working on right now is about something else entirely. Also I've watched the trailer a bunch now and the Ben voice has grown on me-- i think the fact that his voice is normal is important for scenes like the blind dating gameshow we see in the leaked D23 trailer as well... the contestant thinks she's won a date with a normal guy but then she sees it's The Thing which awkwardly freaks her out making Ben more depressed because he was hoping he could convince someone to give him a shot with just his personality at first ... poor guy :(
It would be cool if the film ends with an end credits scene featuring Peter Parker waking up in this universe and Aunt May calling for him from the living room, while RDJ’s Doctor Doom overlooks the events taking place in New York on his monitor from his throne in Latveria before turning his focus on the council of Reeds he has imprisoned.
It's so good! Especially the Thing! I love everything they did with this teaser trailer. The aesthetic is also just great with the retro futurism. I'm not really a fan of the Fantastic Four having their origins in another universe in the MCU, but we also wouldn't have this very different looking world that looks so good. Maybe they are from the main MCU, they were in the 60s, but something happened and they got pulled over to this other universe and they've just been making it work, and they'll eventually find their way back, but in the present day. And the false face being put on for the tour of the Fours' home, like, they want to appear as normal as possible, they just have these super powers, but I'm sure it's anything but. They may look happy on the surface, but everyone in the Fantastic Four is going to have some sort of trauma from the events of the movie, they're going to be arguing, they're hoping to find a way to reconcile what life was like to now what is, it's going to be great. And as for the old man, I have no real reason to think it's an old Franklin from the future, but either at the end of this movie or at the start of Doomsday, this universe is likely not going to survive, and he could play a part in warning the Fantastic Four, or he's a reason why an incursion may be happening. There's no telling why that old man is in this trailer, but he is, which means he has to be important to what's happening. I know we have a number of other MCU things happening between now and July, but we can't get to Fantastic Four soon enough, it looks great!
Another clue to the sequence of events is Sue's hair length. It's much shorter in the Baxter Building tour scene, then seems to have a couple of different longer lengths in the other scenes. So the tour seems to be a while before the other events.
Reed feels more able to predict since the post credit scene for Brave New World talks about the warning which unless the leader knows of such topics. This would be more on line as the year round movie next is Doomsday
Im excited for all three mcu movies coming out this year but this one maybe my most anticipated if I'm honest, it looks so good and the set design is awesome!
Today during Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man we got the Future Foundation or should I say Oscorp suit. I think The Fantastic Four First Steps will end the same way as Avengers Infinity War, Galactus will eat the Earth, and the Fantastic Four, along with Doctor Doom will be the only survivors.
I really enjoyed this trailer. Has to be one of, if not my most, anticipated film of this year! The Thing design was weird at first, but I've grown to like it. Think it was very jarring to me at first to see such a comic accurate design pulled into live action and seeing it in motion.
Dude! This was such a cool morning. I loved what Marvel did. I’m a space fan (even if I don’t know a lot about it haha) so I loved the hour countdown with all the talking and footage from Huntsville. Then the trailer! Wow freaking awesome man. This is going to be so damn good. Vanessa is going to CRUSH it as Sue! This has the makings to be a top 5 MCU film. I just have that feeling.
Been waiting for this since I watched the trailer earlier. Didn't see this kick-off event so that's cool. Herbie feels very cool, still on the fence about the Thing design but you know. So what I'm getting is Mr Fantastic knows about the blackholes connecting us with Loki S1's finale as well as Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. Love how Marvel is being consistent with this stuff. Also you do love your potato quality clips haha. That part with the Thing running made me think about the Hulk running in The Incredible Hulk and how Marvel have gotta give us Hulk vs Thing at some point, hopefully in Doomsday, Secret Wars or just in the future. Ultimately cannot wait for this movie!
Fantastic Video (say that again) as always, some things to note and some predictions. The comiccon footage was all shot before filming began as they ironically left to begin shooting the very next day, and all of that footage was just to give people a taste of the tone and vibe they're going for. So there's a chance that those scenes and lines and designs aren't going to be used in the movie or have been scrapped or reworked as it was more of concept footage. Perhaps during filming theyve changed patch designs or certain explanations of the multiverse. However A+ for being ahead of it. I totally agree with you. 2ndly I do belive they go to space multiple times as the line "the first time" implies they went again or are going again. My main prediction is at the end they lose and galactus eats their world and so they jump ship to our 616 (199999) Seems like doom will not be in this. which I'm in favor of as I dont want Downey to overshadow what looks like a phenomenal "stand alone" breakout superhero blockbuster. maybe a post credit if anything. however that is also a little worrysome as his and Reeds history is an integral part of the team and their arch rival dynamic and it would be a mistake to make them strangers to each other, kind of a catch 22 Some people have brought up that perhaps sue looks pregnant in some shots and let's not forget Franklin was born in space? Theories have been going around perhaps his unborn presence is what brings galactus to earth and maybe they study the multiverse and hop universes to keep Franklin safe from him. Could explain reeds apprehension saying are we sure we should go to space or into a wormhole with a baby on the way... look what happened last time. And sue reassures him that's what makes them family Additionally check out sues hair, does go from short to long shot to shot perhaps theres a big time jump where the group splits up for some years and then they come back together when galactus begins to arrive this would really make the family dinner line tragic foreshadowing of their "glory days" where they were a super family, could also explain why sometimes they're in retro clothes vs modern clothes This could be supported by the scene where sue walks in on johnny perhaps hes come back all these years later and is goofing around in his old suit and thats why theyre both surprised as neither knew the other was "home"
I have a feeling they exist in a universe where they live in a 60s esque world but it takes place in modern times. Like a mish mash of eras fused to one
This trailer looked so good, I am very excited for this movie and see the fantastic 4 enter the MCU, Johnny above the atmosphere was my favorite shot of the trailer, interesting they didn't show Reed powers.
The line about "We meet here on Sunday at 7 o'clock, on the dot, no matter what" feels a little Wandavision-y, like it sounds like a line one of the people in the Hex would say, sort of unaware why they are doing it. If Wandavision's mantra in the beginning was "For the Children" if this entire world ended up being a Hex by Wanda it'd be "For Family" My kind of out-there theory is maybe this reality was somehow created by Wanda as like, a test-run or something, or maybe Doom wants her to re-create a version of the Fantastic 4 because he needs them for some overarching reason, maybe trying to create a reality where Franklin and Valeria are born because he needs them. I do feel like the way Reed said that line tho, the 7-o-clock every Sunday no matter what has some alternate meaning for why they meet and why it's so important to be there on time. I love the design of their apartment too, all the rounded edges, they pre-baby-proofed the house, no sharp corners to worry about.
Speaking of that sky on fire shot, I believe that's Uatu warning the 4 about Galactus' coming and to shield Earth from the Surfer. This happened in the comics and when they had that art last year that had a QR code it showed the particular comic inspirations for the movie. One of them were the 1st time The Watcher met the 4.
After the disaster that was secret invasion and a few other blunders I am so so glad that F4, Thunderbolts, Cap 4 and Daredevil all look incredibly good!! Suffice to say I am beyond hyped, looks like Kevin's been cooking! Let's hope they're gonna stick to the quality over quantity approach!
it looks like they’re going for a retro-futurism vibe kinda like how fallout depicts its world. That would explain the mix between less advanced tech and more complex tech
One thing I noticed before this video (even though many of us big fans already knew), the Statue of Liberty Galactus is looking down on is Bronze, not Gold (as it was in No Way Home)
My initial reaction to the new trailer was simply: "Interesting." Heh. Totally looking forward to it, though I still don't really know what it's all about, and what the deal is with this retro-futuristic look of this universe. My best guess is that they're mainly just trying to draw special attention to the fact that this is a different universe, and taking advantage of that to bring in the look of the original comics. Also, out of all Marvel superheroes we've seen, the origin of the Fantastic Four's powers are among the hardest to explain in ways that really make sense. Like, we know WHAT happened to them, but when you try to think about the HOW, and try to apply science to their abilities, it really becomes a stretch -- no pun intended. However, if it takes place in a universe that's a lot different from our own, and given the brief look at the types of wacky universes we saw in Multiverse of Madness, it becomes a little more believable that other universes would have different physical properties that would allow for such abilities to manifest in human beings.
Great feedback on the trailer. Yeah, they didn't show us much, but I liked what we did get. I'm really curious to see how they explain their powers and also how the new universe looks and feels. Will be fun to spend an entire movie in a different universe!
As someone who hasn’t read any of the comics or watched any of the cartoons or previous movies, I am really excited about this movie now. Love the retro-futuristic vibes and the dynamic between the characters-including HERBIE!-is fantastic😉. I’m getting the impression that this is going to be a really feel-good movie-serious and emotional but without being edgy and dark. And I really hope that we finally get some clear answers concerning the multiverse without new concepts being added that just confuses us (like anchor beings 🙄).
Excellent feedback! Yeah, I really enjoyed this trailer and I do indeed hope we get some more firm answers to how the Multiverse works. I would love it if they explained what on earth anchor beings are!
I really wonder if the scene of Johnny flying into space is gonna show galactus staring back at him. His acting just seems like he saw something terrifying, equally likely as him just being scared of falling but that’s the vibe I get.
The landline being red makes me think it's an emergency hotline, similar to the proverbial red telephone between the US and USSR or the Batphone from the 60's.
I think that big scary cloud might be from like the very end of the movie, and that its actually an incursion and they have to flee to the main mcu and Reed somehow knew that this was coming and that's why he's calculating multiversal travel and worm holes, really cool idea would love to know what you think about it.
Possibly the best build up to a teaser trailer we has seen from the MCU. Ben looks like "The Thing" from the pages of Marvel Comics and finally, my personal all time favourite Marvel character has arrived and "It's Clobbering Time." Aesthetically stylish retro design appears not to over play the late 1950's and 1960's ideas of futuristic modernism. The red wall mounted telephone is perfect for the time period, as it would not have been common in 99.99% of homes. It does though almost say "Emergency Calls Only." And Yes, I'm thinking of The Batphone which was also Red but had the standard table design in the classic 1960's Batman series. I did not though get a sense or feeling of a family, as in no scene did we see all four interacting. Once again the MCU is only playing to the knowledgeable within its fan base, but, we are not the only ones who would have seen this teaser trailer. I am hoping that H.E.R.B.I.E will not be an annoying comedic distraction, as it is obvious that his inclusion is simply a marketing merchandise ploy to sell toys. The question is, has the MCU learnt anything from overplaying comedy, that dumbs down the characteristics of Superheroes. Galactus.. Ooh Yes.! But, there was no sign of the much debated Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer. It is though not clear who John Malkovich is playing in the movie, as he has been rumoured to be either Nathaniel Richards or Ivan Kragoff/Red Ghost. I am excited by what we've seen in the teaser and looking forward to seeing the full Fantastic Four movie. Very Very Funny.. Goulash with Spaghetti.. What a culinary faux pas.! Goulash is a Beef Stew traditional served with boiled or mash potatoes or dumplings. Ben never says the word Goulash he only says sauce.
Awesome feedback. Loved reading it all. And yeah, I don't know why I use the word goulash for anything that I don't recognize. It's like this mystery food to me. Sounds delicious though!
@AbitofEverything4U Thanks for replying, unfortunately you're too far away because I'd make you Goulash with Dumplings, comfort food especially at this time of the year. I do need to correct a mistake I've made about John Malkovich, as it is not Nathaniel Richards but an old Franklin Richards which has been touted around the rumour mill. That would be some twist if it were true, but it's best left on the rumour pile. 😎👍
My only question is why would they be going up the second time? I think that Johnny maybe tries to follow the silver surfer up to space, but he fails because he can’t leave the atmosphere. However, in the comics Galactus has a spaceship, so maybe he sees that and the FF go up to it
I agree...that's one of the big mysteries. What leads them to want to head to space again. Love how the trailer kept us in the dark about the overall plot, but also gave us alot to think about!
Loved the trailer and the breakdown video as always! I think as far as the technology looking outdated goes just gets chalked up to being set in the 1960s, sure it’s a futuristic version but at the end of the day it’s still set in the 60s and has to reflect that in some ways to justify it
Some things I thought of while watching this: While the pumpkins are a timeline indicator, no matter what year we figure out this is, we don’t know where it lines up with the main timeline. Most of Deadpool and Wolverine didn’t take place in the main timeline/2026 (correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it like 2018 of Deadpool’s universe?), even though it takes place in 2026 in the main universe. I think Sue is calming Reed down before they go into space for the second time. It would make sense being nervous to go back up when your first venture radically changed your family’s lives. It makes sense that they have Fantastic Four patches on the second trip because the first trip gave them powers. They probably became the Fantastic Four after that. I assume they got the Baxter Building after that as well, and maybe for some sort of heroic reason, they have to go back up. I also noticed that the suits you showed for the second mission in the red box at 8:04 look a lot more like their Fantastic Four supersuits. Which came first, the chicken, or the egg?
Yeah, I think you give a very good explanation for the two different flights. I like the idea of Sue consoling Reed before they go up for the second flight.

@DrewEichenser Great point!
I like how the first thing we see Ebon Moss Bachrach’s Ben Grimm - who a lot of people know from the Bear, where he plays a chef - is him cooking.
Good point! That was indeed a nice touch!
Truly don't understand how a single person could dislike this video. You are on top of your game, incredibly quick and in depth response
That's very nice of you to say. Really appreciate your awesome support!
3:33 it's a RETRO Futurist vibe. Syd Mead, Tomorrowland, etc. Rooted in the 60s Space Race era and the mentality that surrounds it.
Great point! Yep, that's definitely the vibe they are going for. But still...that landline gave me big time flashbacks to my childhood.
14:04 When it comes to the outfits, the most interesting detail to me is that the Thing is actually wearing the whole suit instead of just the pants and boots like he is usually depicted.
Good point! Yeah, it's sure alot more clothing than in the 2015 movie...where he was buck nekked!
thanks for being so straight forward and quick to the point. i usually watch screen crush's breakdowns but i can no longer take the corny jokes😂
Yeah, I try to avoid corny jokes...although I throw in a bit of humor when I can. Thanks for the positive feedback on the vid. Really appreciate it!
I love retro-futurism I'm so glad they are going for that look in the film it really makes the film feel like retro comics.
Good point! It feels futuristic and yet nostalgic at the same time.
With all things to be excited about in this trailer I feel like I’m most excited to just see the scenes of them just living together.
I agree, it's the first time we'll have seen a family in the MCU!

3:38 It's supposed to be retro futuristic so some stuff will look straight from the 60s and others will be futuristic inventions with 60s flare.
Great point! Yeah, I guess the landline just threw me off… It gave me flashbacks to my childhood!
He who remains mustve based the TVA on the 60s to honor his ancestor
Kang was probably an intern at the Baxter building who stole Dr. Doom’s time machine.
He then created the multiverse/alternate timelines and TVA with the 60s aesthetic 😀
@PhilipKNguyen Yeah, I did wonder about the TVA tech looking so retro-futuristic. Very similar to what we see here!

Trailer looks really cool. I really like The Thing. His personality is charming and the effects for everyone's powers are great.
Yeah, Marvel really giving us their A-game with this trailer!
I agree...that definitely seems to be what's happening in that scene!
I cried when I seen the teaser, the fantastic 4 been my crew since I was 3 . My mom favorite hero is the thing . She always says I love Ben Grimm .
That's such a cool story. I'm so glad you liked the trailer. I bet you'll love the movie. Will be a dream come true!
I think the scene where Ben is in the alley and some kids are running away from him might be the Yancy Street gang
That would be great...love that part of his history!
Looks so amazing!! Ahhh! I NEED to see more, ASAP!
ikr? Next trailer please!
I think the way they're doing retro futurism in this movie, is having Reed's technology being much more advanced than the rest of the world. Therefore, in order use the phone with everyone else, they'd still need a landline
That's a good theory!
I'm so excited for this movie, and I love the Jetsons aesthetic! I'm also dying to see the Silver Surfer and Galactus, who's NOT a freaking cloud 😂☁️
Yeah, I can't wait to see the Silver Surfer and Galactus. Trailer looks amazing!
I believe this is described as retro futuristic
Right...that definitely explains some of the low-tech elements. I was just totally thrown by the land line. Gave me flashbacks to childhood!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of Galactus cloud haha
That thing still traumatizes me...lol!
Galactus better not harm a single bolt on H.E.R.B.I.E’s precious head 😭
ikr? How can you threaten that cute little guy!
The Thing looks incredible! I was really blown away with how much it looks like the comics and the on set costume
I agree… The Thing looked truly amazing!
Really excited to see it set in the 60’s
Agreed...that was a very smart move by Marvel!
you’re actually my favorite channel that does these breakdowns, PLEASE keep up the videos and great work 🙏
That's so nice of you to say. Thanks for the positive feedback and support. Really appreciate it!
I've never been much of a Fantastic Four fan, but the trailer does look good, so I'm hoping for the best.
Yeah… Fantastic four has always been pretty mid for me… I mean, sometimes I did enjoy the stories in the comics, but for the most part, it was not one of my favorites. But the trailer definitely makes it look cool!
Food for thought: they thought that the Fantastic 4 trailer would break the internet.
Great theory...that makes alot of sense!
Also I've watched the trailer a bunch now and the Ben voice has grown on me-- i think the fact that his voice is normal is important for scenes like the blind dating gameshow we see in the leaked D23 trailer as well... the contestant thinks she's won a date with a normal guy but then she sees it's The Thing which awkwardly freaks her out making Ben more depressed because he was hoping he could convince someone to give him a shot with just his personality at first ... poor guy :(
That's a really cool theory about the classroom scene from D23 being before he got his powers!
such an underrated channel man, glad i’m here as an early subscriber before ur channel blows up!
That's so nice of you to say. Thanks for your support!
I loved the new look of the Thing. Hopefully it won for visual effects in the next year’s academy awards.
I agree...I think he looks amazing!
This trailer is FANTASTIC
It is indeed!
That would be a very clever way to end the film!
July’s gonna be a great month for wholesome heroes
I agree… Two epic movies coming out in that month!
I like your theory on the old man. Very cool!
Been waiting for this breakdown. Made my day! I hope the movie is just the debut for Galactus. He deserves to be an Avengers level threat.
Thanks for the positive feedback on the vid. And I agree, I hope Galactus is the main villain and has alot of screen time!
Thanks for hosting great giveaways always!
My pleasure...best of luck!
Another clue to the sequence of events is Sue's hair length. It's much shorter in the Baxter Building tour scene, then seems to have a couple of different longer lengths in the other scenes. So the tour seems to be a while before the other events.
Great catch!
Reed feels more able to predict since the post credit scene for Brave New World talks about the warning which unless the leader knows of such topics. This would be more on line as the year round movie next is Doomsday
Yeah, I am really curious to see what the Brave New World post credit has in store for us. I wonder if it will somehow hint at Dr. Doom?
Im excited for all three mcu movies coming out this year but this one maybe my most anticipated if I'm honest, it looks so good and the set design is awesome!
I agree...looks sooooo good!
The theme alone was enough to get me running through a wall
Yeah, that theme song is terrific!
The Thing’s design is so PEAK
ikr? Love it!
I can’t wait for fantastic four: first steps the trailer was fantastic
Totally agree!
I loved seeing that Future Foundation suit in the latest YFNS episodes. So cool!
I really enjoyed this trailer. Has to be one of, if not my most, anticipated film of this year!
The Thing design was weird at first, but I've grown to like it. Think it was very jarring to me at first to see such a comic accurate design pulled into live action and seeing it in motion.
Yeah, it took me a second to get into the Thing's design, but I really do like it. Movie looks amazing!
I’m glad to see Ben Grimm looking more accurate for once
I agree… I thought he looked great!
Yeah, I agree...that was such a cool way to kick off the trailer. This movie is gonna be peak!
Massive science vibes as the smartest man would be very much all deck on how people become invested on him for Doomsday
Yeah, I love all the science behind the movie and multiversal travel. Very cool!
We soooo need a Thing vs Hulk fight!
Ben Grimm does seem very much able to be likeable by fans of the new marvel universe this first part of the year
I agree...Ben seems like he'll be alot of fun and very approachable for fans!
My main prediction is at the end they lose and galactus eats their world and so they jump ship to our 616 (199999)
Seems like doom will not be in this. which I'm in favor of as I dont want Downey to overshadow what looks like a phenomenal "stand alone" breakout superhero blockbuster. maybe a post credit if anything. however that is also a little worrysome as his and Reeds history is an integral part of the team and their arch rival dynamic and it would be a mistake to make them strangers to each other, kind of a catch 22
Some people have brought up that perhaps sue looks pregnant in some shots and let's not forget Franklin was born in space? Theories have been going around perhaps his unborn presence is what brings galactus to earth and maybe they study the multiverse and hop universes to keep Franklin safe from him.
Could explain reeds apprehension saying are we sure we should go to space or into a wormhole with a baby on the way... look what happened last time. And sue reassures him that's what makes them family
Additionally check out sues hair, does go from short to long shot to shot perhaps theres a big time jump where the group splits up for some years and then they come back together when galactus begins to arrive this would really make the family dinner line tragic foreshadowing of their "glory days" where they were a super family, could also explain why sometimes they're in retro clothes vs modern clothes
This could be supported by the scene where sue walks in on johnny perhaps hes come back all these years later and is goofing around in his old suit and thats why theyre both surprised as neither knew the other was "home"
Fantastic theories! Yeah, Sue's hair length changing around is suspicious. And I hadn't considered her giving birth in space. Cool idea!
can not wait for this film. Praying we finally get a good fantastic 4 adaptation
Same!
This trailer was fantastic. July can’t come soon enough.
I agree...looks soooo good!
10:40 those people are Sue and Reed
Oh my...you're right! Not sure how I missed that. Great catch!
@@AbitofEverything4U happens to the best of us haha
💯
I have a feeling they exist in a universe where they live in a 60s esque world but it takes place in modern times. Like a mish mash of eras fused to one
I agree… That makes a lot of sense!
This trailer looked so good, I am very excited for this movie and see the fantastic 4 enter the MCU, Johnny above the atmosphere was my favorite shot of the trailer, interesting they didn't show Reed powers.
Yeah, trailer looks great. Will be very interested to see if we get Reed's powers in the next trailer!
Very interesting theory! Yeah, with Matt Shackman directing, I wouldn’t be surprised if it pulls a few beats from WandaVision!
Excellent theory. Yeah, I do suspect that's the Watcher coming to warn them!
I feel like they are saving “FLAME ON!” for the movie! Also Sue’s powers look like the same effect of the hex in WandaVision.
I wondered about that as well… Yeah, Sue’s powers definitely look like the hex in WandaVision!
I agree, 2025 is looking to be an amazing year for the MCU!
it looks like they’re going for a retro-futurism vibe kinda like how fallout depicts its world. That would explain the mix between less advanced tech and more complex tech
Agreed! Really like that!
Reed is definitely gonna stretch his arm across that chalkboard, right? 😂
He totally has to stretch his arm across that chalkboard… It’s gotta happen!
One thing I noticed before this video (even though many of us big fans already knew), the Statue of Liberty Galactus is looking down on is Bronze, not Gold (as it was in No Way Home)
Excellent point!
Matt Shakman seems qualifable enough for a very unique experience that the movie will be as a major force of the New F4 intro
Yeah, I think Shakman was a great choice for the movie!
Amazing trailer can't wait for this movie.
I agree… Really looks good!
Good point...yeah he does look like he's just seen a ghost!
Galactus looks really really fantastic ngl ‼️
Agreed...they nailed Galactus!
That's Sienkiewicz Sue for sure. I feel like a kid again.
Yeah, that trailer definitely brought back lots of memories!
The landline being red makes me think it's an emergency hotline, similar to the proverbial red telephone between the US and USSR or the Batphone from the 60's.
Niiiiiice! It could indeed be a version of the hotline / bat phone!
I think that big scary cloud might be from like the very end of the movie, and that its actually an incursion and they have to flee to the main mcu and Reed somehow knew that this was coming and that's why he's calculating multiversal travel and worm holes, really cool idea would love to know what you think about it.
That’s an awesome theory… Yeah, maybe Reed‘s trying to figure out a way to escape to a different universe at that point!
Possibly the best build up to a teaser trailer we has seen from the MCU.
Ben looks like "The Thing" from the pages of Marvel Comics and finally, my personal all time favourite Marvel character has arrived and "It's Clobbering Time."
Aesthetically stylish retro design appears not to over play the late 1950's and 1960's ideas of futuristic modernism.
@AbitofEverything4U
Thanks for replying, unfortunately you're too far away because I'd make you Goulash with Dumplings, comfort food especially at this time of the year.
I do need to correct a mistake I've made about John Malkovich, as it is not Nathaniel Richards but an old Franklin Richards which has been touted around the rumour mill. That would be some twist if it were true, but it's best left on the rumour pile.
😎👍
Oh wow… An old Franklin Richards would it be even wilder!
Especially excited for Galactus!
He looks amazing!
Super excited for this one!
Gonna be peak!
I love the 1960s futurism.
I agree… It’s a really cool aesthetic!
Loved the trailer and the breakdown video as always! I think as far as the technology looking outdated goes just gets chalked up to being set in the 1960s, sure it’s a futuristic version but at the end of the day it’s still set in the 60s and has to reflect that in some ways to justify it
Yeah, that's a great explanation for the mix of tech. I do admit though, that gave me major flashbacks to my childhood to see that landline!
Love teaser trailer, hope they fixed Thing mouth when he is talking
Yeah, the Things’s mouth was the only issue I had… It seemed a little off
The scene with Reed holding Sue while she's going invisible is her giving birth
Interesting! So they are in space when she gives birth? That would be cool!
