There are so many "how to do" videos out there, but this was a really great step by step guide showing exactly what I wanted to know and a huge amount of what I didn't!- excellent
Thank you. I am changing to a new company. During the past two weeks, not only have I had dozens of interviews. But today I've made an active effort to recreate my profile, learning hashtag nuances and make sure that I am endorsing others to make the people who are connections reputable in their industry.
I've sat through a lot of incredibly boring videos about social media content creation, but Judi Fox is so charismatic, and very animated and she got a few laughs out of me. I will seek out more boring material that she'll hopefully make entertaining. I really didn't expect to thoroughly enjoy a video about hashtags in linkedin.
Amazing video as always! Hashtags are so important to almost all platforms but each have their own best practice - really well explained! Personal branded vs Niche hashtags is something people do not talk about enough.
incredible video!!! I was trying to figure out for hours how to add them to the profile without having them in my tagline!! turning on creator mode now
Excellent Video! Nice editing! Usually, in most of the videos, people are begging to like, share, comment & subscribe. And it's always taught that you create good content. It will happen automatically. And on other hand, I don't post comments on videos often. But, your video compelled me to appreciate it. "Great work!!"
Luckily, as a social media marketer, I've already been doing some of these things on LI for awhile now. I did pick up some other tips though, ie limit to 10 (I usually do 15 which is half of the recommendation for IG) and put branded hashtag in content with call to action. Also, I never thought to put branded hashtag in DM to lead directly to already personalized content providing full scope of business. Great stuff, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the tips! LinkedIn used to provide hashtag suggestions when I started typing, but it no longer does. Have they recently changed this feature?
Great information and suggestions. I'm unsure about how to use the personal hashtag. Should I add it to all content I post on my company page and on my profile?
Yes, a personal hashtag is a way to create an organizing "file folder" of all your posts to scroll that is easier to find than clicking on "see all activity" and then clicking "posts"... plus if it's a company with a few employees or you have content that can be shared then having a hashtag will get more reach on all the posts.
Great video! Question: why get people to follow a branded hashtag vs following the company page (ex: @company)? And if doing both, wouldn’t it reduce the effectiveness of each strategy?
thanks for your information, But I Can't Use your suggested method for finding the niche hashtags (5:20"). when I search for a hashtag, LinkedIn no longer shows the numbers that use that hashtag and goes straight into the posts or contents. is there a better way to find proper hashtags in 2023?
Thanks for sharing. This taught e the distinction between personal branded hashtags and niche hashtags. On another note, what do you use to create the B-roll infographics in this video?
Thank you. Good tips! I can't seem to find the number of followers for hashtags as per your instruction (video time at 5.22)? Has LinkedIn changed this since this video was produced - do you know? Is there another way to find it?
@ushakesavan6384, did you find an answer to your question? I too find this puzzling. It's too bad the author has not responded to your question. Another comment above has the same question, but no answers there either.
I love the tips but am missing something; perhaps my LinkedIn is set up wrong. When I type a hashtag as you do in the video within LinkedIn, I never get the bar at the top you are showing with the hashtag name and number of followers or even the ability to follow or post to it. Instead, I get a list of posts containing the hashtag. Do I need to turn something on or did LinkedIn change the UI to exclude this since you made this video? Thoughts?
Thank you sooo much for these great tips!!! I’m a newbie digital marketer with no followers that are in my niche. Ugh 🤦🏼♀️ hopefully with your tips they will start following and actually do my call to action
I'm having trouble switching the Creator mode option on for a LinkedIn page I manage, as a Super Admin. Is this not an option for companies/organizations?
Hi, thanks for this useful video. When I type a hashtag in the search tab on LinkedIn however it doesn't show me how many people are following that hashtag. Do you know how I can fix this problem?
Hey Judy, first of all thank you for these inspiring and helpful insights on Linkedin. I love your presentation style, energy and charisma. I am very interested in the tools (apps) you used for this lively way of presenting. Would you share the source with me? I would be very grateful to you. 🤗
Thanks for great content, really informative for a newbie! Does anyone know how to comment/like others posts as a company page? I can do this only as personal profile. Is there any switch? Thanks!
Thank you. I swear I would be super successful if I were not digitally inept to a point of, not finding an article of mine so I could post it. Plus a gazillion other computer hurdles that take from creation time.
I tried researching the hashtag the way you suggested and it no longer take me to a landing page that says how many followers are on that hashtag, has that changed?
The video is great and very helpful, thank you. I'm stumped though -- I'm on LI on my Mac and when I type a hashtag into my search bar I don't see the number of followers/follow button. It opens to categories Posts, People, etc. related to that hashtag. What am I doing wrong? ^gr
Thanks for reaching out, Geri! Here is a workaround... use this URL *www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/CUSTOM/* replacing "CUSTOM" with the hashtag you are searching for. Be sure to omit the actual # symbol :) -Mitch
Hi I have a LinkedIn account and I am also a digital marketer. I also have a lot of connections and I want to know if I can create a company page for my client from my account. Then how can I give someone else access to that page? How many company pages can I create from a LinkedIn account?
Hi mam I am a linkedin user since 2013. I need to know about what mean by my hashtag option in my profile and what is its benefits ? Regard Muhammad Noman
Good question! You can change your settings so that people can "follow" you (as opposed to "connect" with you). To make this change, go into "Settings", then "Visibility" (on the left-hand side of the page), then click on "Visibility of your LinkedIn activity", and you should see the option to "Change" in the "Followers" section. Hope that helps! -Jason
You can't target people to that level of direct specificity but you can create an idea of the audience by layers things such as people recently moved or people interested in urdu, hindi or other extremely broadbrushing and encapsulating of indian people. But if you just want brown people living there who originally indian it is a bit more difficult
Hashtags don't work if LinkedIn won't show or share your posts anyway. Hashtags have done nothing for me. Nada. And I use a very specific hashtag that many people are interested in. It is for rendering program and I check posts for that hashtag and am subscribed to the hashtag itself. I am sure LinkedIn doesn't share or show my posts because even with that hashtag I will have like 4 impressions after 4 hours. That seems almost impossible. I just think it's weird that Linkedin only shows some posts, unlike twitter. They decide which posts they will show me. But if I follow someone or follow a hashtag, I really want to see every single post of theirs. And vice versa, I want those who follow me to see everything I do, especially that hashtag but it isn't happening. Hashtags accomplish NOTHING it seems. I am comparing this to twitter.
Good video but .... Linkedin MAX 5 hasthtags !!! 10 is not true ! Linkedin gives you already in Creator Mode the hint to with these 5 chosen hashtags ! So max 10 ain't true !
You misunderstood her and what she said is true. She was talking about the 5 you can use via Creator Mode vs the 10 advisable to use at the end of your content.
@@coach.b no ... I totally understood what was said here ... but 10 Hashtags in a post ??? It's Linkedin ... they only want you to use 3 to max 5 concerning the new alogo !! And that is normal as more posts ... is more content ... so they want you to tyhink about using your hashtags ... and since years they don't want you to use more than 5.
Well to be honest arguing over the difference of 5 hashtags on a post are not going to make or break anyone's posts or strategies and if we are chasing the algorithm it will be a losing game since the algorithm is ALWAYS changing. If you look at my posts from August 2021 vs. January 2022 - I currently use 3 to 4 hashtags. Nothing will ever stay the same and I was giving the best advice at the time and giving people AN OPTION of up to 10 because there are people who will always want to throw on MORE hashtags. Again, if you write good content it will never really matter what "tricks" you do. People will always love good content! It's all good! 😊🦊#foxrocks
And in the video I talk about having picked and researched your top 10, but I didn't say to use 10 at the bottom of the post :) Almost all the posts they show in the video as examples have about 3 to 4. I want all my clients to HAVE 10 READY - so they don't have do any research to pick a good hashtag. Hope that makes sense.

Hi I have a LinkedIn account and I am also a digital marketer. I also have a lot of connections and I want to know if I can create a company page for my client from my account.
Then how can I give someone else access to that page?
How many company pages can I create from a LinkedIn account?
Yes, you can use your account to create a business page for your client. About how many pages, as many for your clients.
One question, how many hashtags should I use in a single post?
On clicking hashtag under the post leads to same post instead of all the relevant hashtag posts. How can this be fixed?
when I write # someting I do not get the count so I can see how used it is
Awesome
Sometimes searching # does not show you how many people are following it, it just shows post. why is that?
