I was 17 years old when i went to see Barry at Blenheim Palace it was my very first concert it was an great afternoon and the most amazing night he was fantastic
He worked hard to create that persona, which only makes me respect him more. His was - and probably still is - a crazy world and he trekked through it beautifully.
I was flying to London in the early 80s and the airline magazine featured an article about Barry Manilow. No joke, the writer began the article with - "Manilow is the thinnest pop singer with the fattest fans" Ouch!!!

Barry Manilow I don't know if you'll ever read this comment I hope that you do you are a great looking man when this video was made and you still are I'm not only speaking for myself and I'm speaking from my sister if she was here she would say I remember that incident she loves your songs and she always said that you were saying from the heart and you gave from the soul I believed her and I also know that your music and singing was a great comfort to her I lost her to cancer in 2003 you were the last voice that she heard she asked me to put the headphones on and play your music when the music ended so did her life I know that she's in the heaven above She always told me that she was my guardian angel and that she would always look over me and keep me safe I'd like to share that guardian angel with you I know that she is up there watching over you I'm doing the best that she can to keep you safe so I ask only one thing please be safe and keep putting out your beautiful songs on UA-cam I will be out here listening and I will relive all the beautiful memories but I shared with her every time we came to one of your performances in Atlantic City and a PNC Arts Center in New Jersey many thanks to you you are a great inspiration to her she wouldn't have made it as long as she did without you,🌈💕💞💝♥️💜💚💟💙💛
I absolutely adore this man, and have done a meet and greet with him. Up close his plastic surgery is so severe, his facial muscles barely move. But plastic surgery doesn't define him, and at 79 he still puts on a phenomenal show.
I use to have all his songs but my ex destroyed everything. I've always wanted to go to one of his concerts but I never got to but some of my friends did and ruled it in my face
