Nice video. Mine is on order now. Just wanted to tell other owners that have Honda's with similar engines to check the Air Intake Hose as it has cracks due to VCM high temperatures. I changed mine yesterday, the RPMs are solid now, no more flickering and dancing on the dashboard. An easy $20 fix (short term) along with the VCM disabling (long term). 2011 Honda Odyssey with around $130K miles.

Thank you for your comment. My air intake cracked a long time ago and had to change it. Easy fix. I am 246K miles now.
The ride feels better after disabling the VCM.

@@isaacsanchez5159 I haven’t experienced that issue. My car’s battery is almost 4 years old. I would recheck the connections and make sure it doesn’t have a bad contact onto metal that is draining it.

*VCMTUNER II MANUAL - Avoid Check Engine light (P0118) code on installation - It is recommended you turn off the vehicle, pop the hood latch and leave the hood open some 15-30 minutes without the key in the ignition before installing the product. If you have a push button start, keep the keys some 30+ feet away from the vehicle, otherwise the ECU may be in an accessory on-state and throw a p0118 code. After some 15-30 minutes, the vehicle ECU will normally stop monitoring the ECT circuit and no code should be generated while you install the VCMTUNER II. It is possible to receive a check engine light on some models if any portion of the harness is removed while the ECU is still activated; the computer will see the circuit disconnected and throw a CEL code in some circumstances. If this does happen, the code will clear itself at a later time. If you have a code reader or scanner, you can clear the code at your convenience.*

All you need is the plugs and a cheap resistor. I'm not sure why they started adding power to them as they are already powered from the ecu. Either way, all you gotta do is unplug them, make a jumper with a resistor inline and plug it inbetween the connection to the vcm sensor... look at the cheap vcm delete kits on Google. They will show you what resistors to use.

    • @OldManFrank

@@jc9233 *I believe this device is more plug and play than the devices you are speaking of. VCMTUMER II = plug in without having to worry about finding the right resistor and it will auto adjust if needed base on temperature, etc.).* The cheap plug/resister setups I have seen online = you will have to find the right resistor (trial and error) to works without issue and in some cases you may have to switch the resister based on the seasons. Also, the cheaper products may not with stand the engine temperatures and the cheap plastic and connects can burn, etc.*

You mean the place where you hang the device? If that is the case, I would just look for a place where to lock it place or even maybe Velcro… I don’t know. You just need to keep it away from the engine’s heat
