In this What's In My Hospital Bag Video I share with you my minimal hospital bag checklist for my scheduled c-section coming up in June 2021! I definitely know that I don't need to bring too much but I want to be intentional with how much stuff I bring. I hope this is helpful to you as you anticipate the birth of your baby no matter what birth you have!

Acknowledging me repeating the word "actually" so much in this video... Sometimes I fixate on a word and it's hard for me not to repeat myself. It's very impulsive and it's just a quirk about me since my brain isn't neurotypical. Thought I'd post the video anyway since I didn't feel like filming it twice. Hope it was still helpful to you! :)

Girl me too on the pad choice! I used the big pad they provide until the bleeding slows enough but because I lost too much with my first birth they have always given me a shot that stops the bleeding now. So I don't need the huge pads. Love this list. I want to pack more like this for the 3rd baby!

Thank you for this video. I am 30 weeks today. Haven't started packing my bag yet but already made a list of the things I'll pack. I have had 2 c section before and this will be my 3rd so I'm pretty familiar with what is needed. My list literally has almost same as what you had packed for both me and baby. And I'm planning to include baby stuff in my bag because our stuff are real minimal that both can fit in a duffle back.

Hi bethany! First time mom here and for CSection as well and i find your video very helpful, forward and just focusing on the essentials. You're good!
Just have one question tho, where did you buy the wooden welcome thing? Thanks

Thank you for the list! So many other people I’ve watched have like 1000 things in their bags, and I’m just not that kind of person haha. This is much more realistic for me.

Wow! Your hospital doesn’t provide a pitcher with straw for water? That blows my mind. I’ve had 4 c sections, in four different hospitals and three different states, and I’ve never run into a hospital that doesn’t provide that.

My hospital gives you a pitcher to fill with water and ice but you have to have your own cup. The pitcher is huge though

The healthcare where you are sounds great. In England, I'll be on a ward with other women and babies. Partners only present during defined visiting times and they will try to kick me out ASAP. I wish I could have a private room and have my partner there with me.

Actually staying in bed for 24 hours isn’t ideal… I’m in my 4th c section and I was up and moving with my second and third within 6 hours after my surgery, when I had my first I wasn’t aware how important movement was for my recovery, plus my mood, sitting still made me anxious, moving in small amounts helped keep my mood up as well
